Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder that affects people of all ages and walks of life.
It occurs when a person gets caught in a cycle of compulsions and obsessions
Let’s find out if your likely or unlikely to have OCD
I will ask you 6 questions and you will respond with either YES or NO
1. Do you prefer things that are organised rather than things that are messy?
2. Do you do things over and over and over again for no real reason?
3. When your stressed or anxious do you organise or count things a lot?
4. Do you worry about harm coming to yourself or your loved ones?
5. Are you worried about losing something valuable?
6. Are you worried about contamination or getting a serious illness?
If you said yes to 1-2 it is unlikely you have OCD
If you said yes to 2-3 it is possible you have OCD
If you said yes to 4 or more it is likely you have OCD

I'm similar except it's more balanced out on my body I guess and I have to touch the wall with my other hand then my brain goes know you have to do it again to make it even on both hands

This is more of an accurate test, other ones usually just say "is this picture annoying?" And it literally shows a crooked picture frame.

im like two years late to this video, but is a symptom of OCD where you have to repeat movie scenes or tv scenes in your head for so many times until you feel satisfied with it. Its hard to explain

As I got older, I kind of realised the little things I did as a kid was ocd. Like back then I thought ocd was just keeping things neat but there were certain things I did that I now realise was actually ocd

Although I just scored 3/6 here, I get a lot of intrusive thoughts all the time and carry out compulsive actions to nullify them. They are usually related to certain people or occurrences... Like if something bad (some disease/accident/death) happened with a certain person/place/time and if somebody mentions that particular person/place or I see them or they pop up before me in any way, I feel like the same thing is going to happen to me or my family/friends. And then to stop that from happening my mind tells me to think abt someone/something that has not been associated with that particular disturbing occurrence (disease/accident/death). It's very disturbing and takes up a lot of time. It's difficult to stay focussed on anything for long. The intensity and frequency varies with my state of mind and other conditions like whether I'm stressed about something or whether I've got enough sleep. But it has been like this for a very long time now.

ocd isn’t always cleaning and organizing. i have ocd but i don’t care if my room is messy. i just have to touch things a lot and do things until it feels right. it’s also that i have a feeling that I like have to harm myself like f.ex. if im im standing with i knife i wanna like stab it in my hand for no reason, and i have to put the knife away to not actually do it. i randomly also count from 10 and i have to do the thing my brain/ocd is telling me of i think/know i will die. i also have to do everything 3 times no matter what, and i have some numbers that f.ex. the volume on my tv has to be on or i’ll freak out. stuff like that is also ocd, so if you can relate to that you should find a doctor etc. have a nice day

I acctually have contamination OCD and I still don't clean my room. It's my mess and I know it's clean. I do a huge clean up once a week where I take my clothes to wash ect. My fear comes from the outside world. OCD isn't clean and tidy

How I set my alarm: 1. Set time and make sure it’s on. 2. Put ring tone volume all the way up. 3. Set phone to airplane mode so I don’t get radiation from it and have cancer. 4.Turn off phone. 5. Turn phone back on and make sure alarm was set correctly. 6. Check volume again, make sure u do it with the right finger. 7. Turn off phone and put down. 8. Turn on phone again. 9. Make sure volume is all the way up again 10. Check airplane mode twice. 11. Set down phone. 12. Check ringer isn’t stuck and is still up 13. Check alarm is for the right time again 14. Airplane mode one more time. 15. Turn off phone. 16. Ringer volume again. 17. Check airplane mode. 18. Ringer one last time 19 set down phone. 20. Check everything else one last time, don’t touch the ringer for too long. 21. Tell myself that everything happens for a reason and if I’m meant to not wake up in the morning, it’s meant to be. 22. Set down phone. Ignore urge to check again and go to sleep I hate setting my alarm😭

My sensorimotor issues have caused me many panic attacks (mine center around the fear of having to stimulate breathing, therefore, I could not sleep for fear that I would no longer be forcing myself to breathe.

Authentic Mental Health Please do some research about a type of ocd called pure o. It's were you have intrusive thoughts, and worries about your thoughts. It would be nice if you talked about it or made a test to see if you have pure o.

A lot of the questions were related to cleaning or organizing but that isn’t what ocd is. It isn’t just keeping everything neat it’s like a routine that goes on in your head. It’s like you have to do it or something won’t be right.

Hi Charlie, I thought I would add my thoughts here. I have been diagnosed with ocd 2 years ago (figured I’d do your test anyway, just because). I always had ocd tendancies, but became full blown last couple of years. It can be overwhelming, I get good days and bad days. And I know my triggers and fears. And sometimes there is no escaping a trigger and it escalates my anxiety. I won’t go into details here but it is so frustrating and takes over my life. I’m under a cbt therapist and it is helping. Just wanted to say that I came across your channel from your panic attack video and wanted to say you are so brave posting that. Your videos are so helpful and you have really good content. When you said the thing about when you're nervous/anxious do you count things alot, I lost my shit 😂 before I even thought I could have OCD I counted things to calm me. It kinda scared me how I've had so many symptoms before I even suspected it. (Edit: I got 5/6)

I do not know if anyone else has OCD thinks of it as an insecurity but I have had it for as long as I can remember and I have been the most afraid of someone looking at what I’m doing or talking with me about it so I am just here to say to everyone who is embarrassed or insecure about it, don’t cuz it makes it worse. There are 333 questions,and I now made it 334. I had OCD since I was 6 years old or something,I have not seen a doctor,but I think that I KNOW I have it. I always have those signs everyday,and I didn't know I had OCD until this year came,I thought I was not normal. I then found out that there were more people who feel like me,I did some research and found what I've got. But hopefully I'll see an actual doctor soon!♡

I wanted to check my phone battery but it was at my desk of my bunk bed. I had just checked my phone percentage a few minutes earlier. I didn’t want to go down since it’s 11pm. When I didn’t go down I got really upset with myself and started crying and nearly had a panic attack. I ended up going to check my phone percentage after all that.

I have this obsession with the number 4. I have to avoid it when I act. For example, if I tap on something four times, I have to tap an additional 4 so that it adds to 8.. I keep thinking that if I have anything to do with the no. 4, bad things will happen in relation to my health.. Is that something I should be concerned about..?

I scored 5 out of 6,hence I tend to scattered my things so I know where to find my things easily coz even it's scattered I know everything in there also I do it purposefully to organize my thoughts . However you forgot to include in the test being obsess to being well dress , with paired shoes and bag color and hair styles. I'm super obsesss in being well dress. its my childhood trauma of being bullies coz im ugly and I don't dress well that's why i'm obsessed with being neat and clean and well dress woman.

Currently I scored only 2, but in my past I had ocd related to handwashing and cleanliness and Scurpulosity, and now I am dealing with intrusive thoughts, and I do a lot of mental review and mental rituals, the question that you asked I had these things before but now I have only one theme of ocd and it's effecting my daily activities and making me isolated and I have ocd related to my walking in a particular position and making my door mat crooked, I believe that if my mat is not crooked, something bad would happen to me

You just put the main categories of OCD together and told people to answer the questions! My OCD comes from contamination AND grammar. One common and one uncommon. There are different ranges. People, GO SEE A PROFESSIONAL. Your mind may or may not be tricking you into believing you have OCD. Once you get the diagnosis, it WILL go downhill. It may be fun and games to take the game right now, but be serious. If you think you have it, talk to someone who will support you. Self diagnosing is the WORST thing you can do. You got this. Be smart!

I always worry about little things like if I’m holding a pencil or pen I’m like wait did I put my thumb on it!? So I do it again and then I’m like wait did I put my pinky on it!? And it becomes a addiction.

instead of wanting everything organized I want it messy. for example if something is straight and lined up I have to move it slightly sideways or I need to make sure my mouse is not lined up with anything on my screen.

Do I have OCD? I’m not sure but I think I do. I’m 15. I am always being neat and tidy. I check things all the time, such as if my damaged book is magically more broken. I am worried I am going to inflict pain on myself. When I heard about the April fools joke you can bite off a finger, I was scared I would do it and I wouldn’t trust myself. I am worried a lot about things, and I seem to not be able to get them out of my mind. I have violent or sexual thoughts sometimes.However, I’m normal with germs and such. Matching this description can someone tell me if I have it? I really want to find out, and if I do is it severe? I don’t want to go to the doctors because I get nervous talking to people face to face and on here people don’t know who I am.

So when I do something like ringing a doorbell, I would do it 7 times because it is always a good number for me. I also make sure that I always put my right foot over something first then the left. Idk that’s even ocd but it’s been like that’s since 3rd grade

man idk if its serious cuz ocd does run in my family but i did score 5. okay so everyday i have to do things in the same way to feel comfortable and ease myself, i have to organise my room in the same order or i feel uncomfortable and that something is bugging me, i have to spread the peanut butter on my bread with the same cutlery or else it doesn't satisfy me, my bread has to be toasted by me so it is the same or i wouldn't have it. i have to wipe the table in a certain way, well you get the jist every thing has to be done in a certain way. i have to vacuum rooms in order and when i do in a certain pattern. if somethings messy it bugs me alot and i have to get up and change it, even when im in bed i get up and start making things look nice. my plate has to be in the same spot, my tea has to be made by me 3 teaspoons of milk as im lactose intolerant and 2 sugars same plain white mug. tissue has to be folded in a certain way. i have to put the food on my plate and the rice must be on the edge of the plate away from the chicken, i also cant have large portion of food on my plate or it makes me feel ill looking at it. my clothes has to be set on my bed correctly. i check every night to see if my brother is breathing well or i get the urge to cry, i had to wake him up to take his hoodie off because it was too close to his neck last night. in class i have this girl on my table which is so messy by just putting her belongings onto the table and it makes me so uncomfortable. my teachers are used to this habit i do which if the board isn't wiped correctly i would get up and do it, also aligning the keyboard to the monitor. my book mark for my book has to be tucked in very well and evenly. sometimes i get thoughts and images that i cant control and make me cringe so hard and i cant do anything to be distracted from it. omg i sound crazy wtf i hope this is just a habit i developed since i was young

i am 15 and i struggle with this shit, i really hate it. everytime before school i just check like 4 times everything. i had 2 suicidal thoughts tbh ion know is it cuz of OCD or no. i really hate this shit.

i got 6/6 but im not surprised oh and when im stessed i tend to have the symptoms u talked about even worst... i even went as far as spending over 30 mins like an idiot organising my wardrobe bcz i was scared all my clothes were gonna dissipear otherwise wtf that dont make sense r_r

I scored 5, but I will not be going to see a doctor anytime soon as my parents tend not to believe me on stuff like this. They, like the majority of people, are firm in their beliefs that ocd is just overperfectionism.

i scored 6. i have suspicions of having ocd. winking drives me CRAZY because if i do something on one side of my body (eg tap my finger on something) i’ll have to do that on the other side and it gives me headaches a lot. so thanks. i’ll talk to my doctor abt it

I kinda thought that I *had* ocd *like* tendencies With washing my hands so much that they bled and one time staying up past 2am because I was stuck in a loop of before bed routine But I don’t do those anymore I do not claim to have ocd

i got 6/6 the one i do most is do things over and over again and i try to figure out why but there’s so real reason it’s just what feels right but there’s no way i’m telling anybody i just have to live with it i guess 🤷‍♀️

I get tics sometimes where I like turn my neck to the left but then I feel like I have to do it a certain amount of times like five but then I change my mind and add like three more time but then after that I have to balance it out and do it on the other side of my neck but then I forget how many I did so I have to go back to the original side. Anyway my neck always hurts after this. Would this be a sign of ocd or am I overreacting?

I was putting the rice from the pot to the dish and did not leave any, that's when my friend joked and said you have OCD and now here I am, I never thought about it but I always do that, also if I'm eating and didn't finish in the restaurant I have to take the rest of the food with me (which is normal and of course a must) but I make sure literally nothing not a single small piece is left i. the dish and I be zooming and focused while doing that.. I also be walking for example in the street and mind goes like touch the tree touch it touch it now touch the wall... also in my room my mind tells me to touch the wall certain times or the door ughh, only now I realized is it OCD?😂

Can ocd be diagnoised through a MRI scan?Cause i went through a scan 2 years back and found nothing wrong..but i do have obsessions and compulsions.... dont know why? That i m suffering ...

Im a bit worried, so i only said yes to one thing which is doing things over and over again, So the problem with me is i have a lot of bad habits, but i feel like they might of been passed down to me, because my brother had some similar habits to the ones i have, but this is what i usually do everyday and im worried if its OCD or not. 1. I repeat certain sentences, words and phrases over again until it just feels right sometimes. 2. I usually do some certain actions over again for example, when i go to bed and i go to off the light switch, i either off it again or i like wait for a long time not even pressing the button, just waiting for the right time to click it. And thats basically my main two habits, please i do hope this isnt OCD, but can someone tell me if this is just a normal habit that would go as i get older or is it OCD. And i dont wanna tell a doctor because i am still young, im 12, so i feel like if it was a habit then it would've gradually go away as i get older. Oh and another thing is, sometimes if i dont remember about the two habits, then i dont feel the urge to go do that habit, so its like if i remember it then its like i have to do it but if i try to forget about it or focus on something else then i dont necessary need to do that habit it order to make it just feel right. Oh and i rememberd, i remember stopping some of those habits for quite a while but it came back, but idk if thats OCD? Does ocd stop for a few months or something and come back? Also sometimes when i drink water from a bottle, when i close the bottle using the lid i usually just closer it with my palm, but when i close the lid using my left arm or right, then i have the urge to do it to my other hand just so it feels right, but like i said when i forget about it and the habit then i dont often feel the urge to do it again. Please, this has been worrying me for the whole day toady and yesterday, im still young and yesterday i just found out what OCD is an what it meant- i really dont want to have ocd and im hoping i dont, but no offense to anyone who does have it, because you aren't alone. Im just a little worried and confused, since i dont have all the symptoms, like i dont really care if any of my things are organised, tbh i prefer them messy actually- it's just the repetitive habit. If you're reading this and know or understand what im trying to say, I'd appreciate if you could help me! I'm really scared and confused-
