Thank you Melody. Firstly, I've been a follower of Christ since I was 10 ago - thats 48 years ago! I stopped going to church a number of years ago for circumstancial reasons. I would go now if I could, but not all of us can! But saying that, we dont just go to church for ourselves. Its not just for personal reasons, although thats important as well. Its for others too. Its a place for fellowship, worship, and learning. Its important to go - if we can. If we cant, then we need to still need to have that fellowship, worship, and learning - just in other ways. I love your channel and what you are doing. I especially love the way you pronounce "Jesus"! Its wonderrful. Bless you, and may the Lord bless your ministry.

Church is a community not a building….if the building burned down or is lost due insufficient funds, does the teaching of the word stop? It better NOT! You meet at someone’s house, the park or some parking lot or even online. A lack of a building should not stop fellowship or teaching of the word. You don’t need a building to evangelize either. Community and fellowship keeps each other encouraged, accountable, and to be steadfast.

I realize now that some of the churches around me are fruitless and produce lukewarm faith. I grew up going to church every Sunday, singing and all. I thought that's what it meant to be a Christian (that's what i was taught). During the pandemic, I stopped going to church for the first time. During that time, I started questioning my faith, not to leave it but to understand my beliefs. God revealed Himself to me, and I left my lukewarm ways to follow Jesus fully 2 years ago ( age 18)😊

Going to church does not bring salvation in itself, but the Word of God reminds us "not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:25) Your analysis is spot on. Let's pray for the young man in this TikTok that he will go out and spread His faith. He will soon discover that being Christian is anything but boring. 😉

This is what comes to my mind (Now days, anyways). This is attributed to Ignatius of Antioch, who is believed to have been an apostle of John and a friend of Peter. If all of that is true, then what he says here is of the utmost importance, regarding this matter. "Let no man deceive himself: if any one be not within the altar, he is deprived of the bread of God. For if the prayer of one or two possesses Matthew 18:19 such power, how much more that of the bishop and the whole Church! He, therefore, that does not assemble with the Church, has even by this manifested his pride, and condemned himself. "

I've always wondered why we Christians chose Sunday mornings. I've always imagined it like: Jew: "We've got Friday nights!" Muslim: "Okay, we'll take Friday afternoons." Jew: "Christian, what do you want? There's still Saturday afternoons and evenings..." Christian: "Sunday morning. Bright and early. God doesn't sleep in so why should we?" I do think that a lot of churches (at least where I am) are more geared towards people who are more emotional and, especially, extraverted. My church experience (at a good church, too) has always been 1) Wake up early on one of my few days when I don't have work 2) Put on clothes that are not super comfortable (optional, technically) 3) Go to a building and suddenly have to deal with like a bazillion social situations and expectations and interactions and sights and sounds 4) Stand there politely while we sing like a hundred songs 5) Be bored by a sermon 6) Be bored in a Sunday school class 7) Finally go home kind of exhausted. I think that I've never understood what is, exactly, supposed to happen at church? Is it about feeling something? Leaning something? Doing something? Like...what exactly is different about the world or me after I go?

Going to church is important and a part of following Christ. You need fellowship. It's not what is going to save you (only Jesus Christ can save you) but it can build you up, it's command from God through Apostle Paul to not leave. True followers of Jesus Christ are a flock of sheep, not lonely volwes. We need brothers and sisters to rebuke us, encourage us, warn us, pray for us and each other. I know people church prayed for and it saved their kids lives, without it they could be dead. I know people that were helped, healed when asked for prayers in church and the whole church prayed for it. And remember Jesus said: 20For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” And much much more...

Mathew Chapter 13... I read this chapter in the middle of the night and thought about this channel and the whole "deconstructed christian" situation. I think it could be a good go to for you on a regular basis around the topics that I have seen you cover. It's a chapter about 2 important parables, the parable about parables and the parable of the sower. It is God's character to let us go along with our distortions if that is what we prefer to do but calls our hearts waxed GROSS, in the King James Version, if we do that. In the parable of the sower, only the seed that falls into the good ground perseveres. Both parables talk about matters of the heart. I don't go to Church, I watch Church on Sunday, I used to go every Sunday... I have a few reasons, I sympathize with this guy. Revelations does say better off hot or cold. If someone is struggling with a sin, the potential is there to draw others into that sin. For me living in a rural area, it is a situation of not really having a local Church that I feel inspired enough to want go to regularly, the community is usually old couples and children or families. Then, if I do go, it's like it hurts people feelings if I don't keep going. God bless you.

I have a few feeling/ though about this. I don't feel like you should just go to church if you are a Christian. I think you should if you can go to/find a good health church. Depending on where you are at it might be having to travel hours to find that church. which you might not have the ability to do. If that case it is better to have believers around you find a way. A small group that you can study the bible even if it is online. With this man in particular if I was to be having a conversation with him about this I would ask him what is his relationship with Christ/ what does it look like. Is it just taking the human attic of the Bible and praying when he wants something. Or does it look more like reading the bible seeking God praying about what does God want more then what does he want. Which yes there is still asking God for things you want in the second one.

Oftentime when christians dont go to church, its because it didnt do much for them. But its about participating in the body of christ, loving one another, supporting others and doing life together. There is a balance for sure, a church (community of christians) should also be biblical, support you and be fruitful. But its also up to you to support and help other believers in their walk of faith. Sometimes evangelism starts on Sunday in the church or the weekly bible study, saving the souls of those who call themselves christians but dont understand the gospel. If your church doesnt do much for you, pray for them. And be ready to answer the Lords calling.

Certainly church can be very boring and not worth going. That is sort of why people shop around for a church they like. I would agree going to church and the community that comes with that is very important. I would liken it to a person who doesn't like the hassle and cost of going to the gym and figures they will just work out at home. Sounds good in theory but it is often the case that the person may have been working out 3 days a week at the gym, begins 3 days a week at home, then they miss a day, then another, eventually they forget to workout at all. Christianity/God is thought based, if you don't do things to keep it in your thoughts, you eventually quit thinking about it.

@@MelodyFreeman You go Melody! Have recently come across your channel, and have seen some of the harsh comments. At best, they are laughable. The writing is on the wall for non-believers. Like Satan, they are angry and lash out in the face of their grim reality. The best they can do is bluff the uninformed and entertain "itching ears". Advances, in knowledge, increasingly supports the God of the Bible. This is fitting, as "the biblical worldview provided a basis for modern science to both emerge and flourish.". The irony of non-believers latching onto that science, making claims that God isn't needed, only to have the very scienc, he made possible, point right back to him. Firstly, yes, church attendance is not a salvation issue. Second, yes, there is no command in the Bible to stay in a"dead" church, and certainly not in a cult. However, we are commanded that we make sure we are "not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Hebrews 10:25. See in the above verse is not just about you (e.g., "l'm bored") or what you can get out of it. It is about being around other believers, encouraging them and being encouraged. You cannot live out all the "one another" verses without being in regular fellowship with other believers. I don't think solely online "meetings" are sufficient. If you have no desire to meet with the God's people, then you should question whether the love of God is really in you (e.g., are you even saved). You cannot be a "Lone Ranger Christian" and think you are still being obedient to God. Yes, it is becoming a lot harder to find a good church. I believe that hime churches are the actual new testament model. It may be that as the world becomes more and more hostile to Christ and His people, that hoise churches will become more prevelant.

@@usa2tube Gatherings are not churches. Just because people gather in a place in the name of Jesus does not mean they are truly Christians. We cannot call them a church since the church is the one who is truly born again. Acts 2:47 said "...And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." Which church? The spiritual church! Paul did not give instructions on how to run a church, but on how to behave during gatherings. And elders are appointed to ensure that there is order during the gatherings. But they also have the role of serving, encouraging, and edifying the christians (Ephesians 4:12).. Now the question is, what did Christians do when they gathered?
