Fred may I suggest that trying to reproduce the mistakes of us 🇺🇸 farming ie monoculture is a dangerous idea. Perhaps going the regenerative way and focusing on building soil eco systems which will build your indigenous grass varieties and the building of water retention structures is the way forward. Hence you avoid the disaster of Western world farming.

Sure. Baby steps. Far as we know, he now has Bracharia, AND Alfafa. As per the video, it appears Fred may consider planting his alfalfa along with the bracharia, to solve for the problem of the single alfalfa dying due to flooding.

Great work Fred, your updates are a must watch for me. I believe that commercial livestock farming is a great generational wealth for us in Africa. The factors of production all year round favour us as a continent. The only Missing link is knowledge and courageous people like you and us to make this continent an economic power house in agriculture.

Hello mister Fred. Thanks a lot for your contents and how much you're inspiring ✨️ many young Africans. I want to ask, is it possible to grow alfalfa and brachiaria grass in Central Africa(sahel region). Let me know if you have idea about it. Thanks again and have wonderful day.

Yeah it is possible to grow brachiara. Because it is also drought resistant

Curiosity demands that I ask, are there native or indigenous grass varieties that we can dry and store for our livestock. All so the water logging of your soil suggests using a more permaculture farming approach. Your soil absolutely is begging for that.
@FarmingInAfricaOfficial

By native and indigenous, can you give me an example?
