It feels like the community is at a point where a lot of the top older players (namely a lot of the players from the “god” era) are retired/retiring and people are joining at an accelerating rate… so it’s so so amazing that these are coming out now in such an entertaining format because it reinforces a lot of the lore/history of our scene and I hope it can continue to live on :)

IDEA FOR A VIDEO: split them into two groups. present each group with stupid or specific tier lists (e.g. lore based tier list, how many spikes they have, how quick their fastest move is, etc) and have them try to guess what the tier list is for

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but making playlists of the full games/sets featured in this could be a good idea, to see the full context. Of why it's considered iconic.

I'm grateful for this video introducing me to the HBox vs Armada Genesis 2 set, that was a really cool one for the history books.

I opened RU-vid and I just felt there would be new GG content. The scene is blessed.

Would love to see Zhu in other gameshows aswell

I knew it was Armada M2K smashcon the second I saw it because I've rewatched that set multiple times and saw it live lol. That was Armada's final game as a competitor, and the screenshot is of the last stock he took in bracket. M2K hardly has entered anything since either. That set and Mango Zain Summit 11 are my favorite smash sets of all time.

My first guesses for each set on Level 1: 1. Mango vs Lucky Big House 4 2. Armada vs M2K Smash Con 2018 3. Armada vs Leffen BEAST V 4. Hungrybox vs Armada EVO 2014 The first one I actually had to wrack my brain for a bit to think of who the red Fox was lol. Second one I could tell because the characters were in higher resolution than their older sets would have been. Third one was just super easy, probably the most iconic Armada Leffen moment (though I did almost second guess myself on the number after unpausing and hearing the players' thoughts LOL). The 4th one got me, I really thought that it was the finisher of Hbox's huge combo on Stadium, but now I'm remembering that actually ended with an upsmash.

M2K armada SSC18 I'm surprised I got that one but that's because it's one of my favorite sets. Its seriously one of the best melee matches to date and there's no fox which is wild. If for some reason you haven't seen it go watch it. Also mango is commentating and it's just great. Also SSC and mango are just dope. There is also a conspiracy that they won't give mango confetti and it all starts there

I feel like Dfox/Toph are the brain based players of this game and Zhu/PP are heart.
