Yup, you’re right. Alpha has corners with a radius of 2 millimeters, and beta (as well as every “normal” card forever after ) have a radius of 1 millimeter.

That's all well and good, happy for "The Questing Beast" but we're talking about "Questing Beast" here. Like, do beasts that embark on quests just keep learning new powers? Did they think not putting "The" on the card would help?

@@Hunted0LessShirt A pedantic non-distinction. Thats like saying you don't know what Leaning Tower of Pizza people are talking about. The word "The" as a signifier of singularity or import is redundant because there simply *is* only one entity that carries that name. The title is correct.

@@nickstart2299 That's very fair, although it would be funny to hear "I'm going to Leaning Tower today" in the same way.

​@@Hunted0LessShirtThey probably could have put "The" Questing Beast as the card name, although there might actually be two very silly reasons for them not. One is that according to most professional writing style guides for press/publication, you'd probably have to refer to it as "the The Questing Beast" in writing which is just awkward. The other (more likely) reason I can think of is that it was to save room in the text box/ to make sure all the abilities fit, which given how much it does, is very silly indeed.

We are no longer organizing events ourselves, but we will definitely be putting a lot of effort into supporting events and tournaments on more local scales. It's a big part of the plan for 2023!

@@CardmarketMagic This sounds amazing! All I, as a casual player, wish for is to be included in the organized part of the game. Organized play encompasses much more than giving a platform to players on which to compete. It also includes the organization of a space for players to interact, buy, sell, trade, talk, observe, learn, explain, (in other words gather) with other players of the game. Playing Magic is much more than just sitting down to play a match, or multiple matches in a tournament style. Playing Magic involves planning which cards to buy (thank you cardmarket wanted list and shopping wizard for making this easier), watching videos about the decks you want to build and play, selling off or trading away the cards you don't need, buying cards you need, prospecting about cards you've always wanted to buy, finding new cards you never new existed to play in your decks, and learning to play certain strategies and archetypes. It also involves looking for awesome playmats as a part of self expression, figuring out which deckboxes you'd like to store your decks in, which sleeves you prefer to put your cards in, which token art you want for your squirrel or zombie deck. It also involves disputing with your friends, or a complete stranger for that matter, about rules in magic and asking a judge or someone who knows better for clarification. One thing all these aspects of the game have in common as a requirement is the existence of a thriving community that has a space to enact all these aspects. This could be a youtube comment section (such as this one), but much more lively and interesting is the convention hall floor (as an extention of the game store floor) where people of different subcomunities (friend groups, play groups, lgs customers) come together to exchange their shared culture. We NEED organized play, and not just the kind attractive to pros or aspiring pros, also the kind attractive to the most casual of casual looking to buy the fanciest sol ring to put in their power 7 commander decks. This can exist together (it used to with GPs), but has faded from existence since early 2020. If Cardmarket plans to support the return of organized play, I hope something like this was part of the plans. Thanks so much for taking the initiative, it is highly necessary.
