Most Americans don't watch boxing.....especially the.....flowery sort of men they're asking. Also....America is just a bit larger than England, lol. Ask them if they even watch boxing...
England has a population barely over California.. very small.. makes sense. Anyone who knows boxing at all, knows Wilder. You just talkin to the softest portion of of country - they reside in cali 😂🤣
There’s a average of 1M Boxing Fans in the US This is a country with a population of 350M and 50 States. So three in california is actually a legit average
with someone as loud and as stupid as wilder, you'd think you'd know whos representing your country in the heavyweight division, not only as a boxer but as a public figure for the states...
No, it's actually a video about Americans losing interest in heavyweight division which has been held hostage in Europe with Klitschkos for 15 years, now AJ & the new generation of Brit heavyweights. AJ has sold out Wembley & Millennium Stadium fight after fight, with 70k to 90k attendances each time. Americans wud rather watch Canelo v GGG in Vegas, or the circus of McGregor v Mayweather (which I admit I git caught up in the hype too).
You just said trash.. he's in LA asking random people about about deontay... He should have gone to Alabama...okay.. I don't the half of 1/3 of England knows fury
he said recently that he doesnt want to because he likes his privacy and in general 'youtube' is vlogging = personal life away from his children, which if you think about it, he probably doesnt get to see his kids as much as he wants now because of constant training
Deontay wilder doesn't even know who he is. OMFG i just checked this as watching fury after him knocking out schwarz and he never got robbed this time also this is the most likes ive had ever thanks so much ppl 😂. I just thought of it and replied to the question in the title.lets hope he kos wilder in september then ruiz hes such a role model for people and me as i suffer from mental health helped my depression at a heavy time in my life. go fury go fury the gypsy king 🥊
Get out of beverly hills and ask those same questions, u guys dont know anything about the US. LA county has over 10 million people, almost half of those people are mexican- but you dont see ANY mexicans here. thats how you know youre in the wrong area asking about boxing. Go to area with more mexicans and i promise you your result would be very different. Hate to say it but white people in america dont really watch boxing especially those kind of people who work in those big buildings. They watch golf, nascar, and the super bowl
@@edconway8599 Do not be silly. America is the home of big boxing and always will be. It's all got to do with marketing and media. Amir Khan has not fought any big fight for year but in 2017 good or bad news he stayed in the media and his popularity grew 10 folds around the world. Americans know how to do marketing and publicity you have Kanye west and Kardashians for gods sake. You are the masters at it. His team my be lovely people but their talents are awful and poor Wilder is too nice to make a fuss.
Arfan Ayub by the way I’m not American and I don’t deny it’s the home of boxing but often do they have pay per views over there. Not that often cause there isn’t the interest and demand. And I am actually predicting relatively low numbers for this fight we’ll see when it’s over
i know so many shorter people that would knock lights out of bigger guys. if you are untrained its better to be shorter trust me. those motherfuckers can move on you in a heartbeat next thing you know you are asleep
Nasser Yea, its only because of the revenue generated. I think its better than it was a few years ago tho...UK would take it if they paid alil more tbh, Boxing is huge over there.
Ty Tamplin True but the UK does make up for it by ticket sales. With a lot more stadium shows, there's more fans attending the shows here than in the states. With AJ, he's doing 80-90k ticket sales every fight
Nasser that’s because promoters and venue owners in the UK are smart and all of their fights that aren’t AJ level do not charge 600 dollars for a seat just outside the nose bleeds lol. Or the PPV is not 75 dollars it’s 20 pounds which is like 40 dollars
Manny and Mayweather are the biggest names most modern Americans know that are modern. I blame the Klitschko brothers for destroying a lot of the intererest in the US.
He’s got a point . If this was 30 years ago and ask people who mike Tyson was it would be drastically different . But boxing ain’t what it use to be sooo
That's also LA so he's asking a bunch of feminists and want to be actors who know nothing about sports. If he walked around New York it would be much different.
This whole thing about "nobody knows Deontay Wilder" is just a way of Fury getting into his head. Because Fury knows Wilder is a fake and loves the attention. Very clever
Fake???? There are 39 very large tough men who would disagree with that. When they have to call in a doctor instead of counting at the end of a fight, that's as real as it gets.
@@neelante I'm positive if you asked them who Conor Mcgregor was, at least 18/20 would know. It's a shame on all the boxing associations and Wilder as well
Thenodroid / me too! It was when he went to beat Charlie Zelenoff up and some no where Gym. Could you imagine Muhammad Ali flying to some City to beat some kid up half his size, pathetic.
Try this in Australia and everyone would know who Fury is. That's not because of the popularity of boxing but because of the lack of Wilder's popularity. Tyson Fury is worthy of representing his country in the ring while Wilder is not.
I love this, it reminds me of the Dusseldorf videos just before he did the unthinkable and I’m having dejavu moments again. God willing he will beat Wilder on Saturday.
Ryan Cummins You say that but I guarantee you 95% of boxing fans expected Tyson to lose or Klitchko to beat him easy and now it’s a similar scenario with many people ruling out Tyson but don’t make that mistake again.
Those channels are so biased. They make videos about Black Social Issues and then act like their opinions are not racially biased. I called ego out on his BS. Fight Hype, and MIchelle Joy Phelps are much more ethical non biased channels.
@@UnpredictableTony Then you will know him after the fight! This is the best shape he ever had, and he beat Klitchschko with worser. This guy is so smart in the ring, Wilder will have no chance to hit him. But like i say, we will see! :)
You are looking at it wrong. AJ knows only Wilder can make it a $100m+ USD event. And so it's a relationship. Without Wilder you don't get his biggest payday/biggest audience. And so Wilder is very much a factor, even if casual people don't know him in the US. AJ refused the guarantee $50m + $30m rematch (total: $80m USD) because he knows Wilder will bring in more than that. That is why a 50/50 split is correct. Without Wilder he only gets $15m per fight. With Wilder he can get more than $50m easily. Wilder is smart to demand 50/50. It's business.
@Michael JC Silly me I totally forgot Joshua is on DAZN. Let's see what these PPV numbers on Saturday look like. Even HBO and Showtime have come together in the past if the money is right
Core Wavefunction nah you’re wrong, Joshua makes about $30M+ per fight, check his ppv numbers, 1.2M vs povetkin at £25 a ppv which is £30M which is $38M + the gate and merch, wilder vs fury won’t even make that much
@@James-hh1lq on top of that we have the nba nfl and mlb so sports fans have more options taking up their attention. England has only soccer. Ask 100 boxing fans about wilder and at least 80-85% know who he is. Stay triggered joshhua snowflakes. ;)
5:38 is the funniest when Tyson reply,s to the young lad "No not me" in response to the guy thinking he was DEONTAY WILDER lol ;) He's a case Tyson, Is dad is the dogs' bollocks doesn't suffer fools!, reminds me of my own old fella ;(
Does anyone in America actually know wilder apart from the fangirls? He must be the worst promoted American heavyweight champion in history. Shame on his promoters. Disgracefully mismanaged & mispromoted. 👎
Floyd "Money" Mayweather what are you talking about ,,ooh please stop it ,,even if you dont know anything about sport ,, but you must have hear it from someone month
joebrown 😂😂for some reason people think it’s a popularity contest😂😂 in the ring no one gives a shit that the entire world knows you or not! It’s just a matter of who gets out alive ....
Wilder meanwhile is in denial to this, an American heavyweight champion that virtually nobody knows in America and he thinks he has a good team, they need sacking
exactly, 40-0 with 39 knockouts world heavyweight champion , dude should have his face on billboards, busses, should be in commercials all sorts. it is embarrising and I kind of feel sorry for him.
Virtually nobody knows? Any boxing fan would know who he is, just like any boxing fan would know who fury is, I know tons of people in England who wouldn’t know who fury was because they don’t give a shit about boxing,
@@mr_miyagi5003 he should be alot more of a recognisable face than he is though,i very much doubt you would be able to walk around uk streets and ask roughly 25 people who Tyson fury is and only get 2 people that would know, you would get far more, boxing fan or no boxing fan, Fury could only find 2 people but while doing so roughly 4 cars pip him and shout his name, that's mental
tatshore Boxing fans, simple, if you don’t know boxing you won’t know who wilder or fury are no matter what country you’re in, the people who didn’t know wilder obviously didn’t know fury either and the people who knew fury would obviously know who wilder is too 😐 all this video showed was 2 out those 25 people take some sort of interest in boxing.. Fury is far from a household name in England, like I said I know a ton of people who wouldn’t have a clue who he is, I know a ton of people who wouldn’t know who any boxer is except the legends, Ali, Tyson, Lewis etc.. I live in England, I could only name you one cricket player, I could name you one rugby player, I could only name you one golf player because I don’t give a fuck about those sports 😔 video was pointless and it’s gonna be nice watching this mans chin get spun Sunday morning

Fury has a penthouse in wilder's head, he aint even payin rent 😂
@@bigplanner Nah oother way round, boxing is growing again. I've been an MMA and boxing fan for the better part of a decade now and since the Conor Floyd fight, boxing is definitely increasing in popularity trust me. It's still at a low point but it really is starting to boom. I've noticed way more of my mates getting into it as well.
@Made in England I this would pretty easy to figure out using common sense. Larger area and more people means it takes more work to get the word out. And people in Uganda would probably know Mike Tyson so he really isn't a fair comparison. Maybe somebody more like Holyfield
