I am a compulsive spender so I spend to please people and also to feel admired...I recently just finished reading the psychology of money book and I learned that what I want is respect and admiration from people so instead of spending I should be humble, kind, and empathetic so I can get the respect and admiration that I want...and also no 2..I am going to open an annual savings account with a stop order for automatic transfer to help me not spend that money I am saving....thanks Susan this was really helpful.

Having a worrier personality has made me a saver-splurger and now I’m on my way to identifying as a compulsive money maker. This has taught me a lot. Thank you Susan.

NOTES: A. Compulsive Spender: Emotional spenders 1. Find healthy way to manage your emotions. 2. Automate your savings, investments and debts payments. B. Indifferent To Money: unbothered with money/finances. 1.Figure out why you are not bothered with money 2. Start incorporating baby steps e.g. keep receipts, track expenses. C. Worrier: Scarcity mindset. Always worried about Money 1. Identify source of worry and work on it. Are you worried that you don't have enough? worried about your income?...Start Budgeting. D. Compulsive Saver: So afraid of losing or saving money. Worrying of losing money. They don't spend on themselves. They don't invest, keep money in mpesa, mshwari etc. 1. Look for where the worry came from. Educate yourself to stop worrying and start investment. E. Save Splurger: Very good in saving but not intentional on spending. They spend easily on savings Save and withdraw and circle continues. 1. Do goal based savings.- Identify your splurge reasons/items. 2. Separate that money from investment. Prepare a different account for splurging "MONEY FLOWS WHERE ITS RESPECTED." F. COMPLULSIVE MONEY MAKER: Attach their value as a person to the money in the account. They compromise on values and morals, health and wellness, relationships to earn MORE MONEY. 1. Learn to see beyond money. Do not over attach yourself to money. They come and go. 2. Money is a tool not an end. Value family, spouse, relationships etc than money. G. Gambler: Its about the thrill of making and spending money. They don't worry if they loose because they know they might win again. Its never that serious. Same as drug addiction. If its causing issue with family, your savings, investments, stop it. I am that person who has struggled with all personalities except "The gambler". Reason being that I wasn't familiar with money lessons. It's a skill that I have struggled with, for the longest time now until I discovered Susan Wanjiku. Now I can comfortably say that the only personalities I haven't brought to a complete end are "The compulsive saver" and a little bit of " The compulsive spender". Ngai! I feel attacked! Ciku, I don't like spending money. I work hard and go through alot to make things happen. So I don't spend my money anyhow. Again, if I have loose change, then I have money. But if I have 1k, 5k, 10k any money that isn't loose then I don't money, I just can't look for change of 1k to buy something for 50bob. I better borrow or wait until I get the 50bob. I'm still working on it Susan you can help me. I guess this is because I am self-made, no body can beat their chests they helped me when I needed help. I prayed, worked heard and waited
