Yugi lost to joey when they were chained to the anchor as well so you don't have to count , he used rafpanel to target himself with a spell that would've killed joey so that joey wouldn't get dragged underwater. Pankratops is not the most expensive CR though. It's PSY-Framegear Gamma or Baronne de Fleur with both at 120 ish right now ( before the ban list Gamma was 250€ if i remember it right.)

Counting the off-screen Duel of Yugi and Joey is weird for a format like this 😅 But Yugi lost to Joey while he was under Marik's control, even tho the duel was called invalid by Kaiba. So technically this makes the answer right again 🤷‍♂

Yugi is still in possession of Red Eyes during the entirety of the Battle City Arc. He won it from the guy spamming exodia but Joey refused to take it from Yugi saying that he will win it through a Duel with Yugi.

Yugi/Atem’s loses (manga): - Pegasus (pre Duelist Kingdom; which led to Grandpa’s souls getting snatched) - Kaiba (Duelist Kingdom; threatening to jump off of the building if Yugi chose to attack him) - Joey (brainwashed by Marik; Battle City). Technically, Yugi’s life points hit zero first, which caused him to sink to the bottom of the ocean first) - Yugi (Ceremonial Duel); Atem’s only canon loss as it is stated he has never been defeated and it is what finally allows him to pass on into the afterlife. Anime only loses: Rebecca - He gives up when realizes she is dueling him for her Grandpa’s Blue-Eyes which she believes to be stolen, not given to Solomon as a gift, and she doesn’t know that Kaiba had taken it and ripped it apart. Rafael - In Waking the Dragons. Convinced that he was actually an evil pharaoh and is coerced into playing the Seal of Orichalcos. As far as the “Duel for the Red-Eyes” goes, it’s not canon or ever alluded to in the manga. We actually don’t see the card ever again after Battle City in the manga and Joey suddenly has one in Darkside of Dimensions. Whether or not it is his original one is up for debate, but considering Atem has this whole thing about never being defeated until Yugi, it’s unlikely he actually won it from him. Some speculate that maybe he still lost, but did so well and proved Yugi that he was a “true duelist” that he just gave it back to him anyways, feeling as though he earned it. Although personally, I feel as though that would go against his very pride as a duelist, as something like that would feel as though he took pity on him.

I thought it was fun to give a hint for the Joey versus Marik question in the previous question, and see neither player catch on.

The answer to the Elemental HERO Fusion question at 5:57 is actually 46. Counted them and checked. So unless they’re counting Neo Bubbleman and Clay Guardian as Real Fusion Monsters (Clay Guardian was never released, and Neo Bubbleman isnt a Fusion, it’s an unplayable effect monster) then the 48 makes sense. Other then that, the real answer is 46!

tbf It's difficult for non-Europeans to know prices. Like with Pharoh Rares how Ultras in North America are expensive but in Europe they're cheaper than the secrets and vice versa. And that is only one example.

I would actually agree that the Yugi/Joey duel doesn't count, as it never actually was shown. I could argue that Yugi lost duels after Yami passed on and we just don't see it in the show and there's about as much basis as him losing to Joey. My answer would have been 4 because of that.

Atem losing to Pegasus is debatable at best, and more importantly - there's an actual duel with Joey that's shown onscreen that Atem loses, which is the one where the loser will get dragged to the bottom of the marina by an anchor. It's not even a proper forfeit, life points do hit 0 so it's a proper loss and everything, rather than the forfeits against Kaiba and Rebecca.

one of the only other times i remember Yugi losing was when Kaiba beat him in the dark side of dimensions movie when yugi played those crappy magician girl cards and Kaiba used chaos Max Blue eyes before diva turned into that giant monster thing so that was a 6th loss too
