@@weisscheiss2613 It is true they are Arabized not arabs , before that they were romanized the same thing with levant or any land that were under ther romans colonized , The Arabs have Arabized and influenced from China in the east to southern France in the west.

Im not Arabic but Assyrian and still agree. I understand some arabic as many words are similar if not same between the two languages. Middle Eastern music, especially Arabic was MUCH better in 1940s-1970s. I dare say some Iraqi songs in the 90s were good too. Hakim ( egypt) . Faruiz. Abdel (my favorite song Sawah) . May he rest in peace. He passed away too young. I like the ancient chants of Asssyrians especially up in mountains where it echos. There was so much intelligence to middle eastern music. The instruments , the singers the ability to sing 13mins like nothing. Middle Eastern music is a art on a whole other level especially decades ago. Peace be upon you all . We are blessed to know this kind of music. This grace and class. Complexities. I'm 39, so I thank you mama baba ... nana .. ..grandpa for playing these songs in the house and blessed me with tunes, chants and Assyrian Church of the East hymns. ❤🇮🇶 ✝️.
