His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty.

For those who don't understand, i will explain you the meaning of why Jesus asks Peter 3 times if he loves Him. The answer is, because before Jesus died, Peter denied Jesus 3 times.

We live not only in the body but also in the spirit, therefore John witnessed the second coming already, in the spirit, he lived until Jesus Christ "returned", Come follow me would mean for us to follow and love Jesus in body now and in Spirit forever.

In the English Bible, Peter said "i like you".....Because he knows that he loves Jesus but not as much as Jesus do! The love of Jesus cannot comparable...In other words, Jesus love is " Agape" And here Peter uses "phileo"
At the age of 30 I finally read my whole Bible. I wept reading this passage, when He asked do you love me three times. I realized all the times I denied HIM in front of others just like Peter. I hope to do a little better each day and feed his sheep.

When Jesus said that Peter would get old and would be taken where he doesn't want to go, I was really sad about that. Like Jesus forgave Peter. But also Peter would have to pay for what he did. That is utterly heart wrenching to me.
@@ThelifeofJesus It tells me that Peter has a long way to go in his journey and that Jesus is always ready and wating for his salvation. It means that life is long and confusing, but Jesus sees the heart. That's all I know.
