I bought one to try out. Its good for the price. Its nearly impossible to tip the rifle over with it on. Its easy on and easy off. It can handle my 17lb rifle with ease. I did have to snug some of the hardware to my liking. If you load the bipod like your supposed to its fine.

I've never shot precision that allowed a bipod. This is an interesting concept. And good video sir- thanks

Purchased one for my 300 PRC and love it! I've shot off atlas and many others and it's very good especially quick setting on uneven terrain.

Might need that for my Fightlite MCR upper

Nah that's dumb use the cheap hundred-dollar Magpul rifle bipods. Overbore bipods don't work well on belt feed Fightlites bro.

1) gun hanging under the bipod is 100x more stable. Traditional bipods are going to allow the gun to tip over. 2) why spend money on the riser vs putt8ng that loney towards a low profile pic rail?

Fortmeier makes the best overbore bipods. Fortmeier are stout and not all flimsy when mounted on your MRAD. The UTG overbore bipods is ok on that 22 rifle but they wont hold up to a rifle with any weight that shoots magnum projectiles.

What do you mean by hold up? Like break? It seems solid. I don’t know why you couldn’t use it on something larger. What fails? I’m asking because I don’t know. You could certainly be right.

Those overbore bipod are fine for benchrest(probably not ideal if your competiting to win), prone matches, essentially stationary precision matches. I believe the guy above is referring PRS style matches. Those field matches that add hiking, movement, other shooters(accidental contact ex: knocking over a rifle) or obstacles are harder on equipment. I am unsure if your over the bore bipod is made well enough to not have issues. I will say good luck with obstacles you’re going to encounter with your overbore you going to have to learn to adjust on certain obstacles in field matches even NRL 22(whatever the new name is for rimfire field matches). The UTG that’s attaches to rail version is really to me is a novelty/in an emergency use what you got. That UTG product I see that on a lot of $400 Ar-15’s,my opinion guys have an idea they can get a slimmer profile and quickly realize it’s a novelty. Secondarly over bores usually add weight and the only over bore bipods I have seen used are super expensive like the 500 dollar price point. Shoot a season of field matches you’ll see what works and what products have issues. Trust me you won’t be shooting video from the bench anymore and the bipod discussion will be diminished as most of your questions will look at tripods, shooting sticks and positional shooting off obstacles. Bipods in the field have there place but the reality is might be a 1/3 of the shooting. So the the next question you should asking yourself does you overbore bipod help you or hurt when addressing obstacle shooting. This is where the traditional Harris, Atlas, Skype pod bipod enhance their usefulness maybe your overbore does exactly the same thing and maybe it doesn’t. Personally I run quick attach bi pod mounts as well just encase a stage happens that I need to throw the thing off for a stage or need more room too clamp to a tripod or shooting sticks. Match directors know how to get you thinking outside the box…lmao.

@@roady7420noted. Again, I’ve never shot any of that stuff so that side of the industry is new to me.

I would suggest finding a 22 NRL/PRS match in your area. Those type matches are lots of fun are normally just at a local level for fun and enjoyment. Everyone is usually very nice, they are focused on safety and the first match usually someone is assigned to assist you with safety and watch you until your at the safety standard in a match environment at least that has been my experience. The biggest value from matches it makes you a better shooter and diminishes the fantasy of the abilities we think we have. It’s not the best equipment while that can enhance, I have been beat on a regular basis by guys that spent less money on equipment and more on shooting experience. If matches aren’t your thing then attend a PRS training with someone that’s known like Phil Velayo, Cayden Wojik experience of a lifetime to learn from those guys(bucket list thing for me to learn from them or Frank Galli). It’s kinda funny I come to your channel for your excellent H&k content excited to see your growth into new opportunities.

@@roady7420I appreciate the advice, thank you! Always wanted to do some of this style of shooting and I figured the RPR is a good first step. I love shooting 22 though I don’t need to go big bore.

yes more stable, but there are better over bores. This one is too wobbly even when you crank it down.

I'm sorry, but this configuration is so gd ridiculous I couldn't help but physically laughing out loud. The older I get, the more indifferent I am towards peoples configurations. As my taste has changed over time, I went from Gucci service rifles like HK, KAC's and LMT. Culminating in my current arc of unobtanium BAR's, FNC, etc. The more I fill my safe with criminally expensive, collectors, and prior service rifles, the less I care about quality, or even aesthetic, because it's all subjective so just purchase and shoot whatever you desire. That being said, running a magnified optic on a riser, to clear your airsoft quality bipod is one of the most questionable decisions I've ever seen. I get it, trust me. Those of us that own a litany of quality firearms have nothing to prove to social media, so you've earned the right to make some questionable decisions, but jfc dude... Seriously, c'mon. This coming from someone who lives in Japan, and only gets to play with my firearms every few months when visiting the States. So I've become orders of magnitude less judgmental.

So you’re saying you’re not judgmental, but in the same breathe be judgmental? I have high end and cheap stuff. Don’t deflect your anger on me because you can’t shoot your guns 😂🍻
