I'm a 3rd year CE Student 'di ako magaling sa math, buong highschool ko 75 straight lagi grades ko may time pa na nagka-74 ako but still took the risk na mag-engineering akala ko bobo ako sa math nadadaan talaga lahat sa pag-aaral nung unang take ko sa calculus 1 I failed pero nung 2nd take ko na bigla ko na-realize sobrang dali lang pala tinamad lang ako sipag at tiyaga lang puhunan guys and gladly nung 2nd take ko 1.25 na grade ko hehe skl
@@navyblackyt1744 tutor is a mean of practicing which is good (tiyaga ang puhunan). Tutors are good in enhancing your skills kase pwede ka sa kanila magpractice, magtanong, etc. regarding sa specific topic.
Licensed CE here. Here's my take: 'di naman kailangan na talagang magaling sa math. To be able to quantify or mathematically interpret is one thing. It all boils down to CONCEPT. Math is our 2nd language to quantify our findings. I hope I explained it as clearly as possible. To all aspiring CE's right here: Efficiency is the key ✔✔✔
go! College is your training ground before the corporate world, therefore you should do your best out there. Expect late night studies and stressful grinds. Kaya mo yan, tandaan mo sarap mahiga at matulog pag may Engr sa name mo :)
my family said im too stupid at math to be an engineer... at least this gave me a little hope and a little trust in myself, i will try my best to prove to them that i can do it.
I always had a fear of Mathematics because I was so traumatized with it during 8th Grade :,) but now since I'm planning to take Civil Engineering and saw this video, I realized that my skills in math can definitely improve and the fear I had with Math before can be taken away. Thank you po for the pieces of advice that you have given po in this video!!
As an civil engineering base from experience dimo namn kaylangan magaling sa mathematics.. as for me kaylangan mo lang ng diskarte and maging technical kalang sa mga bagay bagay to survive civil engineering.. kung magaling ka sa math plus mo na yun if hindi pag aralan mo.. hindi sya madali pero kung my tiaga kang pag aralan mapapadali buhay mo sa civil engineering at ma kaka survive ka 101% sure ako jan.. kasi civil engineering ay para sa mga taong pursigido.. hindi ka makaka survive pag tatamad tamad ka..
Hi Engineer! I'm always watching your vlog and it motivates me a lot. I'm aspiring to be a Licensed Civil Engineer, a first-year college student, and I always see myself wearing white hardhat and holding a blueprint sounds dreamy yet it comforts me everytime I imagined it (share ko lang)🤣. I hope you notice me! I'm a huge fan of yours and all Licensed Civil Engineers out there! I admit I'm not good in Math too that makes me feel drowning in many thoughts and negativities but watching this one is a relief and I realized that you really don't have to put yourself into pressure just because of taking this course, instead of that change your mind set to a positive one that taking Civil Engineering course is an honor and big responsibility ahead. I praying and hoping to be one of you. Sounds crazy but, see you in site engineer!😁🤣 PADAYON TA!
Hi Helen! Yes, maraming challenges along the way but ang importante, gusto mo yung ginagawa mo. Good luck sa engineering journey mo! See you in the site :)
Yung tipong pang good vibes lng tas minsa para makabisado nila Yung tinuturo ko hinahaloan ko nga lovelife thingy pra makilig sila habang nagmamatH HAHAHAH.
I'm a freshman CE Student and I'm afraid and shy to tell anyone what my course is because I have this mindset na if tell it to them they will laugh at me, I'm afraid to be looked down because I'm not good at math, but thank you for this, it gives me courage to believe on what I have and to pursue the course that I wanted to take. #LabanEngineer
@@xanosgaming3941 hiii! Im currently CE student na. It's our 2nd sem rn. So far, everything's going well but i cant deny the level of difficulty of this course. Got 4 maths n everything but dont worry. It's all good. You can do it bro
hello first year civil engineering student here studying in upd. tbh, i really don’t know pano ako nakapasa since di ako ganon kagaling sa math since nung hs ako pabaya ako sa acads. pero here i am nasa upd pa T^T wish me luck! sana maka survive and thank u po sa tips i learned a lot and hopefully maka survive^^
I'm 13 years old and I'm watching this so I already know something and so that I can have a hard time choosing a course and my dream is to become an engineer
Im Grade 11 student and i chose the STEM strand naghahanda na para sa EC natatakot talaga ako kasi di ako magaling sa math pero ako yung tipo ng tao na ini-enjoy yung challenges and weakness, kailangan kung harapin yung weakness ko at thank u kuya for motivation.✊
Correct Engr. Im not good in Math din, tyaga lang ako mag aral para matutunan pano mag solve. 1st take ko nga bumagsak pa ko sa board, and thank God nakapasa din in the right time. And now 6 years nako as engr sa office never ko naman nagamit yung mga complicated na computations. Nasa Japanese company pa ako Hehe. More on planning, analyzing of drawings and basic math lang kayang kaya po natin 😃
@Mais Con YeLo yes kaya yan, basta magtyaga and never give up kasi yung mga prof sa engineering halos lahat mahigpit talaga, kahit ako ang dami kong bagsak na subjects pa nun ang hihirap kase talaga ng problems but indi naman ako sumuko. And now pag naiisip ko mapapangiti na lang na napagdaanan mo mga hirap na yun nung college. Hehe
Thnk you Maru for keep inspiring others especially yung mga students at kukuha ng CE im Civil Engineer here in Malaysia pero na linya ako Contracts and Quantity Surveying
When i was still in college I've been math tutoring high school students and other courses. And yes mas new skills na matutunan kapag sa field na wala ng analytic geometry and calculus sa construction hahahaha but not when you're teaching. Mas ma practice mo pa galing mo sa math if ngtuturo kana. Engineering instructor here...
This really gave me hope........I was just in highschool palang po now and I really did'nt know what I wanna take in college because sabi ko po sa sarili ko na wag muna madaliin. Minsan, I just keep on thinking na maging Civil Engineer or an Architect......50/50 pako eh.....and hindi rin po talaga ako magaling pagdating sa math like I swear! NOT.......but this really inspired me po....thank you po!
sobrang totoo nung mga sinabi ni sir maru. ang experience ko kasi sa interview bago ako makapasok sa college of engineering ang tanong sakin is "magaling ka ba sa math?" ang sagot ko nakakasunod ako pero hindi ako magaling. ang sabi ng nag-iinterview sakin na "very good kasi kung magaling ka pala sa math we will refer you sa bs math kasi ang kailangan namin dito is hindi magaling sa math pero willing matuto ng engineering."
Im so thankful that our profs gives assignment sets for us to practice. They dont obliged us to pass the assignment but it goes out on our exams. Thats why we are motivated to practice practice practice. It might go out on our exam!
Thank you. as a civil/environmental engineering major, I have found it is so easy for us to feel dumb on the basis of our math skill alone. you are right, practice truly makes perfect. let's all do our best!
Di ko talaga gusto course ko na CE dahil di ko to pinangarap noong bata ako, 4th year college nako ngayon pero di ko maintindihan kung bat ako nandito. Finally! Thank You Kuya! Ibang klase ka mang inspire, God bless you more! Keep on being an inspiration kuya 🤜🏻🤛🏻
@@MaruRico wow nanotice ako! 😍 Keep on inspiring us Engr! Wag po sana kayo magbago, wag niyo po aalisin yung film type intro niyo and for transition sobrang nakaka relax po panoodin. God Bless you po engineer!
People say Im bobo sa math kaya di pwede saakin ang CE..But i say "Hindi ako bobo,Sadyang Nagmamatalino ka lang sa sarili mo!" Every people deserves What they want.Just dont give up.Kayanin mo kasi gusto mo!!
#LawOfAttraction magiging ganap akong Civil Engineer !
This is indeed an inspirational and motivational video Kuya Maru. I'm an incoming college freshmen, ofc an engineering student.. Supposedly I would take up a med course but realized that I want to be an engineer. I'm not good in math ever since pero nang mapanood ko to nasabi ko na, "ay Kaya ko to" ❤️
First year engineering here at kinakabahan talaga ako sa math gawa ng di naman talaga ako magaling thank you for this vlog nagkaroon ako ng idea at nang lakas ng loob para di matakot sa math thankyouuuu and Godbless you more
I'm an upcoming student for BSCE this school year thanks for the tips it helps me to boost a little bit of my confidence because my father was a CE and he want me to follow his footsteps but I'm a bit nervous because I thought all who wants to become a Engineer is a bright student specially in math but now it helps me that I don't need to become a math genius because I attend school to learn thanks and I will watch every single videos that you'll be upload keep it up man we're watching you 😁👍
True, in actual engineering jobs, english is the most or commonly used in day to day work. Mathematics basically has no use in the field if you are not on the academe, but the ANALYTICAL THINKING and problem solving skills which we had developed in our selves because of doing math is I think helps allot in our day to day work. Kwento ko lang pala when I was still in highschool feeling ko Math is easy, actually nakapag compete pa ako sa Quiz B for Mathematics kasi nga kahit papano bilib din ang teacher ko sakin in terms of Math Skill, but when I enter college of engineering, bumulaga saakin ang hirap ng MATH! I cried when I got my final grade sa Trigonometry na tumataginting na SINGKO! hahaha pero di naman ako pinag hinaan ng loob, kinuha ko lang siya ng second sem and naka bawi nakabawi naman. Ma advise ko lang sa lahat ng aspiring civil engineering students, all I can say is study wisely, be resourceful, huwag mayabang kasi madalas sila yung bumabagsak sa board exam, try GROUP STUDY and Pray to God. Good luck aspirants! May your dreams do come true!
Im not good in Math pero na Engineer ko in God's Will. Tama judka,in real work, wajud Calculus gigamit nato, hehe.Kinsay ga invento anang Calculus ba? Ehehhe,Ka expert jud nimo mohimo ug video ba.Great topic unya no dull moments.Hands up Engr.
Surely i think pagka- G11 mo.
Glad I made it
Big check. Dili jud kinahanglan hanas ug math, ang kinahanglan lang jud is willingness to learn and love the degree youre taking up. Proud Bisaya Engineer here. ( new subscriber )
No need maging magaling sa Math pero need maging super sipag, as with any course. Wag din kalimutan ang social skills, at galing makipagcommunicate because when you practice Engineering mas need mo ang mga skills na to on top of the technical stuff. Dapat magaling ka makisama at di maangas. 9 year practicing Structural Engineer here. Goodluck kiddos.
Truee.. Writing and Speaking Skills are Badly needed sa actual work na. Especially, the speaking skills. That is something that I'm still working on. Haha
I love your channel po! Graduating CE student here😁.
Hi! Found this video and I just want to say that civil engineering is not limited to construction, so I guess it's a little misleading to say that higher engineering Math is not required in the workplace, and it's only needed to pass the boards and get a license. Higher maths are very useful in other fields like structural engineering, hydraulics, environmental engineering, etc., but I agree that Math skills can be developed. :)
Good tips! I like it that you inspire young people to pursue their dreams and not be discouraged. And yes, basic math that you need for actual work (be it engineering, programming, accounting, etc. - except for high-end/advanced applications like design, projections, advanced analysis, etc.) for the most part is exactly that - basic. Practice and actually doing the work with effort and "tiyaga" really does the trick, no shortcuts. You're doing a great job! Keep it up! Looking forward to more videos, thanks! :)
Salamat sa mga tips! Magco-college na ako this S.Y. and willbe taking Civil Engineering. For days na stuck ako kung bakit ba CE yung kinuha ko at naghahanap ng inspiration, pero nung nakita ko yung mga vids mo unti2 na ako na inspire to pursue this course. Salamat ulit po! God bless!
Salamat po Engineer! Actually I'm an Architecture student pero naupdate ako dito.
Road to 100k subscribers ❤️
Salamat ani Engr. 💕 Am a 5th year civil engineering student and waiting for graduating list. Hehehe puhon makuha na diploma ug kaluy-an na. Pangarap nahu magtrabaho abroad as an engineer, pwede ba diha mag-take exam to become an engineer? Unsaun tuud pag-avail sa working visa if walay petition from there? I really really want to go there. Thank you and hope you answer this. God bless ☺
I'm a ECE student, but this video, help me a lot...thank you for your wonderful tips on how to be good in math, nagkaroon aq ng lakas ng loob para sa aking course.
@@josepajarilloiii8739 ayun lang. Problemado den ako dahil jan kase i'm incoming 2nd year na eh and di madali to sa ating mga ce students pero laban laaaang.
