Its so easy to trust God when things are going well. The question is, when we are down and out and we feel mad at God, can we still place our trust in God? "Do not be afraid, just believe." - Mark 5:36
We need to trust God's goodness and that He loves us and "all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose to conform them to the likeness of Christ" when things dont go the way we think they should. Trusting Him isn't that He'll do what we think He should, but that He is good and always does what is ultimately best for us. Kind of like our parents - we didn't always like their choices, but they did what they thought was for our good.
That's really really really really hard. How to deal with the hopelessness and emptyness. I will be honest. I am currently closer to atheism than ever in my life, but I do not wish to fall for it and I am confused. More confused than ever. I don't even know at times why I keep fighting for my faith, if maybe I am just delusional. I don't know.
I seriously needed this right now. Today was probably the hardest day of the first week of my sophomore year in college. Organic Chemistry was intimidating from the get-go, but I wasn’t expecting for it to seem so difficult from Day 1. But I still feel called to pediatrics, and I have so many affirmations, so many open doors and opportunities throughout my life so far from Him, leading me to believe that that is where He wants me to go. St. Catherine of Siena said that if we were to be who God created us to be, we would set the world on fire. And St. Padre Pio said the more temptations we faced, it was a sign that our soul was pleasing to the Lord. And I don’t want to give up, I want to be given the grace to endure and persevere on the road He’s made for me, on the one He walks alongside me on. Let’s all pray for each other to continue forward on our race, to keep running! 🙏🏽🤗 Edit (5/01/20): I came across this video again to watch it, and as I’m scrolling the comments I see this comment I made and am so surprised! 😂 I forgot all about it! Thank you for all the support and prayers. 💜🤗 Last semester was truthfully terrible but that was a blessing in itself. 3 funerals, moving on from heartbreak, personal issues going on in life, struggling in a class no matter what I did and ending up dropping one, etc. I was also faced with the possibility that I might be called to religious life. Through it all, my consistent solace and comfort was Abba. From working ahead of time for a class so I could skip lecture and visit the tabernacle at my church to sit and cry in His Lap and rest for just one moment, to visiting the Vocations Director at the pastoral center and finding it was truly planned out by Abba for me to find reassurance and clarity regarding the discernment struggles I’d been having. Last semester was terrible and dark and it felt like the floor fell away from underneath my feet. The blessing was just that though. I realized, through a lot of self-reflection and prayer, that my passion and dream was for pediatrics, not necessarily in being a doctor. When my mom suggested going into nursing, it felt like a breath of fresh air and relief and peace. I felt excited about learning again and so joyful about it. So I’m a Nursing major now! I’d like to go into pediatric nursing, neonatal nursing, and maybe geriatric nursing too. I realized I really enjoy being with people younger than I am (especially around the toddler-preschool age) and with people much older than me. There’s something about being there to welcome people and care for them as they enter the world or in their first years of life, and being there to hold their hand and comfort them during the last moments/years of their life. ☺️ Thank you again for all the prayers. They weren’t answered in the way I expected, but I feel at peace and like I’m right where He wants me to be. I hope all of you are doing well and safe right now. 🌻 Take care!

Thank you all for your kind comments-they really gave me comfort! 💜 Things just kept happening one after the other today! My phone wouldn’t turn on halfway through the day, I lost my car keys momentarily (I forgot where they were as it turns out), it was pouring when I got to campus and my shoes got soaked right away so I had to do lab with uncomfortable feet (I’m sorry if that’s a spoiled/bujee thing to say, I’m willing to deal with it, it just all added up) and I hadn’t been able to eat a proper meal at all today until evening. I had vitamins for breakfast and chips for lunch 😅 Not the best. I learned to pin it to the Cross and say a prayer for people who deal with those issues everyday or often-I was really hungry but I thought about people who are starving and don’t have access to food. I was feeling overwhelmed with my class today and everything to do on my agenda-but I have a place to learn and others don’t have access to education. I was wondering if I was really being called to be a doctor when all sorts of obstacles seem to be looming from places I never considered seriously. But then it was brought to my attention (the Holy Spirit is quite kind) that you don’t get to Heaven without the Cross. There’s no Resurrection without the Passion and Crucifixion of our Lord. This will help me on the way to sanctification, and all our trials will help us to become saints if we let them! And of course, I’m not denying or pushing away how I felt. Talking out loud to Him while you drive or do little tasks like washing dishes really helps me a lot. And when I went to Adoration yesterday, the pain in my lower back literally felt like it was washed away when I sat in front of Him. And I had tried all sorts of sitting positions and stretching before going. I believe that a beautiful rainbow will be seen after this rain, that a lovely flower will have bloomed, and that the sun (Son) will come out and be seen again physically. I want to be a sunflower and turn to face Him always. 😁💛 Thank you again for your kind words, and I will keep you guys in my prayers too! Don’t give up! And if you fall a lot like me, just remember what Venerable Fulton Sheen said about a child who falls a lot; they get most of their mother’s kisses! Mommy Mary, please pray for us. I thought I had trust in God until the doc thought I had cancer. In the 2 weeks it took to find out it wasn't, i developed a whole new level of trust when i was confronted with something i could do nothing about. Now, I'm exploring a new relationship with God.
Yes. I will say here that we can trust God. He intervened 19 years before something happened. I did not see it coming at all and He saved me from losing my home. Thanks be to God.

Thank you. Ive been really stressed about rising costs in my home. I was driving and I thought, “no, God is a generous Father. If my Dad provided for me and would now drop everything to help me, how much more will God help me.” I came across this video after getting home. I did leave my home, family, and state to teach for God. You reminded me of the reward!

You’re losing your passion for Christ because He’s not first. You are. If you are so busy that you can’t make time for Christ, then you have other problems as well. If you don’t give anything to Jesus, you will receive very little back. If you don’t put in time for friendship, you can’t make a good friend. Who do you have time for then? Jesus wants to be your best friend. Begin each day anew and greet Jesus with a Morning Offering to the Sacred Heart ❤️ Throughout the day, give him little aspirations such as, Sacred Heart, i trust thee. Sacred Heart, I love thee. Sacred Heart, make me virtuous and holy like thee. The Lord will respond. He doesn’t need long prayers. He just wants us to unite ourselves with Him throughout the day. In time, He will draw you more to Him and consequently you will desire Him above all and give Him your whole self. I send out a prayer for you. Ok... Remember, wake up with Him on your lips. Peace.

Thank you! The world needs more good men like you. Life is full of temptations. People are living together instead of getting married, spending money on vacations, but not having children. No one wants to make any sacrifices to live life as God intended. Now there are so few good people left. It seems unfair to those who refuse the trend to live only for the pleasures of today. I am right now sitting all packed to go home after 24 days of being in a totally new city and working under new conditions... I have had very little trust in God but I have been praying everyday since I got here ... Its really hard to let go of all my comforts and home for something new...

There is an element of “blindness” in trusting God. Maybe it goes the way *you* want. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe you’re in for the long haul. Maybe you carry your Cross, complete with pain and sorrow and pains and scourges and nails in hands and feet. What I’ve learned-whatever I’ve been through, Jesus went through it, too, and *for me*. Our God has hurt in every way we have, and I have to remember to thank Him and keep moving.
Loved this video, your testimony to trust God and the rhino story analogy. I recently left my 3.5 year relationship because I believed the man would not and was not bringing me closer to God. It was such a difficult time and I had trouble trusting God in the decision at first, but have felt more peace, joy and love in my heart now through God than that relationship could ever bring me.
Sitting on the sidelines, watching someone else charge the rhino is a lot more comfortable. But I'm ready to step out of my comfort zone and do some charging myself. Thank you Father! I am loving your videos.

I cried last night because of the thinking that; my mother and father helped in my school, like, to pay my tuition fee and all and I'm repaying what their have done for me, but it seems that God is calling be to be a priest and the bible verse that Father Mark hits me hard. What should I do? :)
If God wants you to be a priest/monk etc he will open more doors lead you there. Follow your heart. Try volunteering soup kitchen's or charity shops & read books about priesthood/Monk. will help you helping others because you will have to give up everything to help people in need.
Good for you! If you give yourself to God, He will not be outdone in generosity! He will repay you & your family 100 fold like Fr said. Praying it all works out for you!

What a beautiful beautiful video. Thank you! While watching it, thoughts came to my mind... I thought to myself, what a great husband and father he would have been, will I be lucky enough to find someone with that kind of soul to share my life with? But almost immediately after thinking that another thought came to my mind and it seemed to correct the previous one: why should I expect another person to fulfill me? To share my love, happiness with, when God, Jesus is always with me, just wanting me to fully give myself to him? Of corse, it does not mean necessarily that there is no special one reserved for me in the long run, but my primarily source of fulfillment should come from God and God ALONE should make me whole.
I'm suffering with a lack of trust. It's more my fear of losing what I am and what I have and what I could have. So thank you for this video. It puts things more into perspective and allows me to think about this more deeply in my prayer.

Yes. . well we need more clerics like you. . . .I love the Rhinoceros story .. . and your enthusiasm. Personally I am usually only about 70 percent believing in a good god. . . I do find it complicated but in our favour we are aware that despite this abuse of grace? God keeps us close to him. In almost unimaginable mercy his eyes are upon us and we are bound to respond.
