hv a 2002 red svt, near perfect shape, all stock, minus touchscreen. never been ragged. drive it daily, never even thinking of the new ride in the driveway.
Disgrace? This car is not an Evo, it is not a WRX and it sure is not a S2000 and it was not built to pretend to be one either. Ford delivered EXACTLY what they offered with this little gem as opposed to many of their other offers and it is the owners that destroyed them by abusing the hell out of them and trying to make them do what they weren't made for. Everything negative you said about your car would go ignored and I would gladly buy this off your hands if it is such a burden to you. These little street legal go karts are what the Honda CRX was in its day, just a fun little ride. Notice you never really see CRX tuners do you? Give the little dude its due, it does what it was built for and then some. Yes you can give them tweaks and turbos but you need to upgrade EVERYTHING necessary to do so not just bolt on and go. Be fair, ford does have a bad reputation with many vehicles mostly due to transmission and engine problems with timing belts and interference engines. (Windstar anyone?) But the SVT has ignored most if not all of those problems if maintained and driven properly. I currently drive a Porsche Cayenne S and would love to get my hands on an SVT. Give the poor little guy sone credit it sure deserves it.
This was a joke. This one's all ratted out. A clean one that hasn't been trashed is still a good car to this day, like you said. This one's fried. Just have fun with it.
So I watched this video before owning a SVT and hear I am 2 years later now owning a SVT and wholely crap this guy was right I love it and hate it at the same time currently my shifter is taken apart because plastic bushings are junk also the last bit of I BOUGHT A FOCUS ITS A SVT!!! NO NO A S V T, there supposed to be rare. Sounds like me trying to convince people it's special cause it is?
