I wouldn't be in some of these situations because some of them require a lot of bad to choices to even be in. Example, that grim on theme park round 1. No vert control at 1:30 with all of them in site?!?!?! like hello? Playing Grim alone, but also on theme? nomad and doki not playing vert? Unless the nomad is so bad he doesn't bring breach charges? Anyway off Topic, #1 situation: two options, either play the angles on site or push main and take two gunfights. If you first try pushing back to 90 and skull, chances there could be a rat or you take too long and guy on site dies. If you have the ability to take the gunfights on main, do it. Then after pull back to site and hold angles. If you go to site first, play as aggressively as possible to nap a kill and hope that smoke ain't a useless brick. #2 situation: Again two options, go above and play ability or take the gunfight. I would go above use ability because I would curse myself if I lost that gunfight. Situation #3: Just over a minute and your team is still clearing top floor and doesn't have a single foot toward site, yikes. I would do almost exactly what you do and make a play after my job was done. I would jump to the same window and fish for a pick, but here is where we differ. While my team is jumping in to get plant, I rotate above and play vert. Took too long for them to come plant btw, I would've been screaming get the fuck in here. #4 isn't real and is such a bad situation I would never find myself in it. #5: I wouldnt waste one of my two smokes at 50 seconds. Wait till 35, smoke where he tries to plant. Too easy tbh.
Well looking at soemthing and having a chance to think about it vs making that decision in real time are two completely different things. Plus having the skill to actually inact the best process is another issue. Like the champ would probably do that in the moment, the silver would probably mess something up
ya lol "well u know i just gotta bait my teammates in this situation" like what kinda baits r u pulling in 1v1s and what is ur success rate coming out of those
For all those watching; everyone has their own playstyle. Find one that best fits you and how you play. What works for him doesn’t mean it’ll work for you. You don’t need a 1.5 kd to be champ…. You need wins!
sure but some times doing what you might feel comfortable with isn't exaclty the right move, example you can say I know I can take this guy on a 1 on 1 while hes planting completely ignoring the fact that where hes planting you can have intel and soft floor c4ing, ik not every op has a c4 and not every objective has good intel with soft floors but its something to take into account. I only use this as an example casue just last week I was playing kanal with my friend and he ignored the proper playstyle and got hungry for them to force overtime. Another thing I noticed in the vid was every situation was handeled with no flaws using the teams gadgets, he picked the safest route to ensure a win, taking in what the silver was saying she generally didn't account for the technicals and just wanted to fight. My takeaway is the little things go along way when you make plays properly
@@marcshaner9721true. But in the heat of the moment you arent always going tactical. Some moments I played like the diamond suggests and came out on top. Others I lost. Some I played like the champ and still lost. Currently a gold 2. Some I played the emerald. Its all a feel type of scenario.
Pox gives you the lowdown which helps you think more clearly about the situation, as he gives you relevant information. You also have time to think when you're watching a video. You might have pretty good decision making skills, but collecting the relevant info and thinking quickly enough to act on it are separate skills you need to hone.
Honestly, those might be my favorite kinda video, since it also gives the watcher the ability to "guess" along and hear how different people approach different situations. Obviously sometimes there's multiple solutions to a puzzle, but overall it gives a really good understanding on how to think during certain situations, like what to look out for, what not to do etc. Keep it up Pox and I wouldn't mind some more episodes of these hehe Also edit: not sure whether the diamond player is trolling or genuinely just loves to gigachad peek everything LMAO
heres what id do if i was in the smoke situation. first lets say defuse 90. id swing maps then if im out id quick peek and smoke of main. then go down 90 not full sprint and take my one with the pump. chip damage and switch. Second lets say if she had defuse is this situation. swing wide and look for info off the chassis of the bomb, then with said info see what we could do (either stay out and let her ego swing or go safe and hold a two way quick peak.) Save the smoke for the defuse on safe door because depending on timing and if the opponent is better and can pull off the defuse then prefire you.
The first scenario, I would tell smoke to play vault and play passive, try find out how many are pushing that side. I would go 90 and hold red/statue side. I would get callouts from smoke who can hold them off while i circle back from top red if they are all aggressing site. If we know they are all pushing that way, we fall back to the crossfire Pox suggested. My problem is that we didn't know all four of them were pushing main/study side. If two came red/statue, they could get a nasty flank on us.
except now if smoke dies u instantly lose the round pretty much.. u have feetholes for long hall, so if they push there u can kill them quite easily. ur biggest issue rn is the people study, if u can quickly kill them u suddenly have control of a lot of the map or info on the other 2 people. its a 2v4, u dont really have time to waste time 90 or red, everything u do needs to put pressure on the enemies, if no one is books or red then u are useless and ur smoke is in a 1v4 at that point. u still have a smoke so he can smoke off vault and skull if anyone is red, i think ur only option is to either push the guy main and study or go vault.
@@purpleguy3924 Yeah my point is for smoke to play passive and block off their entry precisely so he doesn't die. Then if we are confident they are all pushing that way then fall back for the crossfire.
Tbh in 1v1 situations as a defender I know at some point they have to go for plant, so if site doesn’t have like 100 lines of sights and is only destructible a little bit I kind of reposition very quiet and rotate around their back to kill them that way. I don’t think defenders should be losing many 1v1 situations unless skill diff and lack of preparation
9:25 ( As a diamond 2.0 ) i would contest a little bit with my SMG - 11 while moving aside to vault and throwing a smoke to waste even more time and than i can use the vault door or rotate or my swinging options and contest. If he does push i can just use my shotty
After 800 hours on this game with no consistent team and just randoms I think it’s safe to say that in those situations I would push from the opposite direction that my team is pushing because my perimiter is me and that strat seems to be working well recently😂
my idea on the dragon/throne site. had plenty of people putting pressure on both sides. id give defuser to another teammate and play the top holes in the wall from a vertical angle in the room above where the grims were shot from and pick off the guy behind or beside throne to allow them to push side door to fireplace so then theyd just have to fight the one on foreplace wall.
In those 1v1 situations it really depends on how good my opponent is. If hes bottom fragging im probably going to force the gunfight but if hes decent or top frag just play time and force the plant
There is no single best answer. It all depends on the enemy players and your aim. The fact you chose to do one of them doesn't prove that it was the best move to follow. Having said that, I agree with the emerald player in situation 1 and 2. In situation 3, I wouldn't go downstairs since no one mentioned the window was open and breaking the barricade would make sound and I would be dead that instant. But a rotation from where your teammates are to form a new angle is s good move. Situation no. 4 is pretty self explanatory.
Copper II here: I would flame the dead operators in my team and say sth. like "I cannot carry this team!!!11" then i would run into a kapkan trap or sth. like that. Glad I could help.
I don't think there's really a right or wrong answer for a handful of these, it's rather thinking "can I force them into a situation that can favor me?" Which I'd say has a lot of leeway and creative thinking involved
Be difference from the champ and everyone else is there plan isn’t a 1 man army plan. They always include his alive. They are able to plan a lot more complex and diverse plan.
As a gold I would smoke default plant then rotate to Hall then play off fireplace door so if I hear him at door I hold an angel because if she wants to plant she has to kill me so I can apply as much pressure as possible and if she trys to go on breach I have a shotgun so swing or be swung
last clip i would wait until 30 then smoke default and use the sound to start pushing 90 first crouch until out of site then just walk into study slowly smoke can should still be up to mask sound
I'm Silver 3 and my idea was different than the rest on clip 5, wait for the plant to go off then smoke default behind vault door and force a push into study, if they push skull then move to vault with the shotty and wait, don't know if that's a good strategy or not
all I know that is if you're an attacker and you bait that just means you're really bad, I've had tons of scenarios where my whole team died and the last guy is just holding an angle and hasn't stepped one foot into the map building hahaha
Personally being gold if the guy was top stairs, I’d swing on the iana, and then watch classic hall, and study, tell my teammate to just hold sight and play off audio
I still think ranked is for monkeys, but I definitely had more in common with the champion, however, I tend to be over aggressive and push people until they crack
if everyone in the stack had champ minds they would not be in many situations like that tho... tbh the reason alot of the times ppl die isnt because they dont understand the game (in high ranks) its because they want to ego peak things instead of prioritizing a plan its like dopamine they want to feel that adrenaline which is fine but its part of the reason why loads of ppl dont improve cause they cant control that dopamine adrenaline to focus on opening breach play vert etc
In the last situation 1v1 I’d definitely throw the smoke bomb and the open a new hole on the wall putting more pressure on the attacker to cover now new angles and then go the vault and trying to make the attacker plant and wait for it to get the kill or win by time
I struggle to get to champ every season because even though my plays are big brain, its only big brain 🧠 cuz i constantly compensate for my bad squad and mediocre aim.
