Before I joined law school(NLU), someone from law school(NLU) advised me "if you can read 50 pages and write 20 pages of English everyday on average than only you should plan for making a career in law." For becoming a good lawyer love for language must be there.
Does anybody know if we have to do entire writing digitally/ type everything as it is faster or one has to do it on paper or pen after completion of degree?
The video was great but as a top 5 nlu grad i would say most people can't imagine the hours lawyers have to put. Its minimum 14 hours everyday work and after that also every other day you have to prepare for a exam or project submission. Seriously even if you become senior advocate the pressure of appearing for exam or submitting project will always remain plus for first gen lawyers it is 100 times more difficult in litigation and in corporate there is very skewed pyramid where after 10 years you will be removed from the job. So for top nlu students also life is not cakewalk and for random college law grads its more difficult.
@@vbansal3932 you can always do it digitally, but better if you make it a habit of doing it the old way(by hand). Obviously when you start working 99% of the time you will type it on a keyboard but the skill and practice to write on a paper using a pen must never go away.
Good point about arbitration. Arbitration will become very popular down the line. In many countries, judges don't like if arbitration efforts are not made by litigating parties.
Sir, I am a practicing lawyer and I started my practice after resigning from a Regional Manager of a Public Sector Insurance company, when more than four years service was left. Most of my colleagues discouraged me as I had been an upright officer but lawyer is supposed to be a liar. But I was confident that I can be a lawyer without being a liar. I am well established though I came in the profession a little late. I person has to have risk appetite and he can definitely flourish. I thank you for your incisive talk
I wanna do it..but people make me terrified as many says uh can't make money here,it's very struggling, for grls it's not good field..ur father must be lawyer, being successful is so tough . please tell me what to do...either persue it or do MBA ?

Best video for lawyers out there . Hats off to you Sir . Being a non lawyer you explained so well. And your doctor wala video was also superb. I am an Advocate myself and agree 100 percent with your points.
Amitji I love your videos...here my son has decided to get into law much against popular professions like engineering and medicine so i feel very validated after I watched your video almost like a sweet surprise gift from someone
Very nice sir. I have 22 years experience as a lawyer. In my view one becomes a good advocate if he have a side income . By which he run behind learn not for earn .
That's a good point to consider sir ....everyone who is planning to start litigation at any civil court he should have any side income otherwise he has to face severe financial issues
god bless you sir pranam karta hu apko ap markdakshan ho mere aj clarity a ghay dhanyawad apka bhaut bhaut life mai bht confuse tha u give me clarity in my worst time thanks a lot

Wish you a very happy Guru Purnima... i am a lawyer myself. I saw your video, I loved the same. Valid points and details were very good, the point was well put..... But one needs to be sure that after degree, the struggle is immense till you are able to find some clients
@@Akash_00762 yes once you have some clients who can provide you with a steady source of income/ fee, you should choose law. the law career is a very good career indeed

Being a first generation lawyer I would say that college doesn't matter if you want to practice Litigation. A good college can get you a good corporate legal job like any others graduation. Law is a very respectful profession only when you're competent and able to analyse law and circumstances because judicial system works with moral ethics and law hand in hand. Second thing India is lacking at good law practitioners is because country is filled with majority of 2 minutes noodle generation who compares and needs instantly. Many of my young fellows start comparing themselves with the established first generation advocate who's parents are/were established at some stake. None the less I was at panel of Legal of Delhi Courts for intial years which made to understand me law better with bulk of Litigation than moved to Supreme Court and now a Standing Counsel for Union of India in Supreme Court. Imagine 142 billion people country where people are narrow mindset where generation bis more concerned towards security of future than gritting themselves and taking risk than blaming the law community for piling up the Litigation. Name a current generation lawyer who can match half of the standards of Mr Jethmalani, Jaitley, Sibal, Salve etc. I started my journey from a small town named Bareilly of Uttar Pradesh migrated myself with family to Delhi, started my own law firm in 2019 and living happily with family and I very much excites when I gets an opportunity to argue before bench or communicate with Police/Agencies. And after gritting for more than 5 years since beginning I left the thought to attempt Judicial Service whether PCS-J or HJS after closely watching Judicial Officers life which burdened with bunch of cases daily.
Hello sir, I am practising doctor with a corporate hospital. I am done with all the education commitments. I am 32 years old and want to pursue law to practice as a Medico-legal consultant for other doctors facing litigations. Can you please guide me as to how I can enroll for a law programme along with my medical practice. Will be obliged to you , if you can guide me Thanks a lot Sincerely, Dr Shalin Parikh
Do law from your nearest college available and pass the bar exam and thereafter you can register yourself in the bar council of your area where you want to practice Dr.
@@shalinparikh4657 Dear Shalin, you need to pursue LL.B. full time as BCI doesn't allow part time or distance education in terms of Bachelor of Law however there's no age limit to pursue law so as and when you feel convenient, you can pursue the law. It will probably make you more competent in medico legal and toxicology field. I hope I answered all your questions. Best of luck for future endeavours.
Thank you sir u r genuine person and iam 12 passed student and I choose law Profesion with the help video's and guidance once again thank you sir for supporting young generation ❤❤
I want to become a lawyer and court fixer like Kapil sibal. I adore him, I love he pressurized supreme court judges and how he fixes them, how he bent them for bail and getting favourable judgement from these arrogant corrupt judges
I am second generation lawyer from jabalpur ( mp),my father is Civil Advocate since 20 years, completed my llb in 2022 , i was preparing for civil services since last 3 years ,now I joined my father, I appreciate your thoughts.
@@AjiteshVardhan bhut sare option hai , litigation nhi karna hai toh legal officer hote hai har department mai , aap waha try Kar sakte ho exam hote hain uske, Judiciary exam de sakte hain , SEBI de sakte hai , UPSC , professor banjao college mai, rashte hi rashte hai .
@@Akash_00762 it depends on the precise line u chose after graduation..like if u wanna go in corporate law. or u wanna start your own practice or else like judiciary and other government exams.
@@RC-LoyaL1415 yes everyday you have to prove yourself but initially you have to struggle a lot if you are first generation lawyer seniors are testing you for a long time
Best video on internet ✅ On the spot.. Need more people like you who do not hesitate to break down the stereotypes and instead of a ted talk you gave a thorough analysis of the ground reality.... Appreciated sir 🙌
