Do Your Coilovers Have A Knocking Problem?

Trying to source a possible knocking sound coming from the front area specifically from the KW coilovers. if your bushes and connections all look good, it could be the coilovers stanchion tube itself. Check by rocking the strut back and forward using a breaker bar connected to the main bolt of the knuckle.

Bro, I’ve been looking for months for the problem on my coil overs. I know they’re cheap and shit but that hit the nail on the head I can guarantee it without even looking.

Try setting your preload again! Might fix the knocking problem

@@MasterofNoneTVcould I just set the preload by just tightening just a little so the spring doesn’t move up/down and turn? Or do I have to take all my coilovers off and set preload that way? I swear I received a set of Fortune Autos and they have stickers on each strut saying “do not touch , Preload has been set” but my mechanic says the preload isn’t correct 😖🤬😭

Honestly just tighten the top lock a little more and spray some lubricant under the shock walla

Looks like the preload wasnt set properly

The funny thing is I took it to 2 suspension shops and they both said to replace it. 😂

Check to see if the bolts on top of the tower are snug or compress the spring a bit more

Unfortunately no, where I live there is no dealer or repairer for KW coilovers, and with shipping costs to Germany, rebuilding them is not cost effective.
