Stop complaining that characters are OP. You knew they were OP when you first started playing the game. You could easily spend time learning how to beat those OP characters (or learn how to use them yourself). There are thousands of $$$ on the line... why wouldn't you use the best in the game to go home with that money?
I completely agree with all of your points. People don't realize that there is money on the line and if you're not willing to pick up one of the OP characters you hate, learn how to beat them with your own character, pick up a character that's a bad MU for them, or don't compete. It's simple.
there's a lot of damn hard characters on DOA, alpha/helena/kasumi/ayame , near enough any quick character can string 10+ hits if you mess up or miss a blow
Arguable, I found the 10hit tekken combo's impossible to do , In dead or alive you link together a few smasher combo's that fit nicely together , often with a break to te origional combo , e.g you do 3 hits of a 4hit combo , which means the opponent isn't knocked into the air or the floor, giving you room to do another combo . Or you knock the opponent into the air which lets you get off another combo . The counter system is quality too
Laughing at the comments cuz in every single fighting game tournament, players are incentivized to pick the most OP or top tier characters. Why would this game be any different? And honestly, Rikuto took that first round against Alpha easily. If I were Bladez, I would have switched too just for the shakeup
this vid and the grand final shows how crappy this game is. Just tier whoreing blantantly OP Chars for the win, Rikuto should have won the damn tourny the only genuine player in that last lineup not character whoring, the guy knows his match ups so well
its not the fact that he wasnt prepared for an op character...its the fact that x had to switch characters to an OPc to change momentum...a bitch move and really should be penalized if professional gaming makes it way mainstream going further. Helena vs leon fair. bayman switch not really a switch. its almost like a ryu ken or a ryu dan switch...which should also be recognized by the gaming league as a FAIR SWITCH but there really are no rules of balancing or characters switches. i knew before the match started he was going to lose. in his case...he could have bragging rights for not switching AND fighting an OPc but who cares? he should have switched to alpha too.
