The first lick sure does sound like the "Truckin'" lick.

Joe...Love your playing and your lessons. I'm just getting started. I've heard you and several others mention "Real World" jam tracks. Do you have a link? I Googled to find them, but with no success. I would like to have accompaniment to practice against. To my surprise, finding a local Dobro teacher is like pulling teeth. I live in Greenville, SC near Asheville, NC, about an hour southeast. That area is a folk music capitol. You would think finding an instructor would be a piece of cake.

Yep, Asheville is a great scene! Billy Cardine is not far from you, but I don't know if he does private lessons. My "Real World Tracks" are on my website. I've recently changed to a subscription format, it's $12/month to get everything I have on the site. There's a free trial if you want to check it out first. I also teach private lessons by video through my site. some people take lessons every week, and some people learn with the courses on the site and check in once a month or so. You can check it out at www.dobrojoe.com/ If you have any questions, you can email me at joe@dobrojoe.com thanks! Joe

This guitar was built by the one and only Tim Scheerhorn.

Do you have a lesson on Intros for most genres?
@dobrojoeschannel7012
@dobrojoeschannel7012 Год назад
I don't, but that's a good idea! Often times the intro can be crafted from the last 4 bars or so of the song...

This looks different than the tuning I use. G B D G B D. I am a little confused
@dobrojoeschannel7012

This is GBDGBD. The standard notation is down an octave, to get it on the staff, maybe that's the confusion?
