Just discovered Doc Martin a couple of weeks ago and I'm hooked. Been binge-watching. I am in the US, and have known about the show for years, but just never bothered to check it out. Did it on a whim, and wow, am I glad I did. Never knew what I was missing. Great show!
Saw it on PBS for the first a few months ago and fell in love with the lead characters. What amazing actors, when a show can have so hooked enough to have a mind travel to a place that's real with a made up name , you know you have become obsessed in a good way. I wanted to know about the actors writers and producers. I am 68 years old and can still live vicariously through this series. I bought series 10 for my older sister and because I live in the US and I am behind I have subscribed to Acorn to play catchup. Not regretting it at all. I watch this show all day long on Roku to keep my company while I work. No I haven't retired just yet😊.
I ordered the first season and was ADDICTED before I finished the first episode. I immediately ordered the next seven seasons and finished them in two days. I took the trial membership with Acorn just so I could watch season 9. My dvd for season 9 arrived Monday, and I have now watched the entire series again and am devastated that there is no series 10. I loved these characters and this village.

+Sammi Marcs aaah yes, I agree! I've heard of the show, but never really watched it, and when I saw it on TV I was hooked! Like literally, I was like "why have I not seen this before!" I so fell in love with Louisa! And I really like those two, they are a bit different, but that's what I like about it, and the show is just warmhearting!! Really, I've seen a lot of martin/Louisa videos and this is my fave, I really think this is their song!! :D
+Millie Ahh it is such an addictive show, too! I LOVE Louisa. I really like how caring and helpful she is, and I also love that her character is realistic and relatable. She makes mistakes, sometimes, but you can still tell that she is a really good, strong person...ah I love it. It's SO heartwarming! It is so romantic and sweet and funny I just love it! Aww really?? That means so much to me, I am so glad you like it! I thought this song really fit them, and I was surprised when I was editing it just how well it fit! :)
+Millie Series 5 was amazing! They are all good, but I just loved the beauty of that series in particular. It is just SUCH a well written show! I agree, wholeheartedly. My friends are always making fun of my TV/Film choices hehe. Right! I so agree. Omg really? I'd love to follow you on tumblr! :)
I have never seen such interest in a couple and their relationship, all the many well put together videos and songs. Clearly, something about Doc Martin and Louisa has more than captured the imagination of so many creative and sensitive people. Its a bit like a fanzine or something, but more... and more sincere. I really enjoy all of the videos I have seen so far.
Louisa was not without flaws. She's a control freak. You don't try to change a man to be like everyone else. It never works, you have to work with what you get and be understanding and first love them as they are show examples by your good examples and if you truly love that person you will be patient and not be too quick to run. You chose him and he chose you. Work with what you have in you.
