This was sang at my Mothers funeral. The pastor that sang it said he was listening to it as he brought her home from Dialysis that Friday. She wanted him to replay it and he did for her. She lost consciousness that Sunday after Mothers Day and passed the next Sat. I believe in my heart she was ready. I cry everytime I listen to this since her funeral then I smile Momma was ready! R.I.P. "Mummy"
They sang this song the same way in Birmingham. The MC couldn't get them to stop. They just kept on singin' and quit when THEY got ready. It was a blast--and the crowd loved it.
Love this group....I'm a choir person but every since I heard this group and a few others, I have learned to appreciate all types of gospel from traditional to contemporary. As long as it is executed with the anointing of the spirit of God. This is my favorite video of all the Hi-Lites recordings. The singers and the musicians were "On Point"!!! God Bless You All
Doc Mckenzie is one of a kind. He appears to put his Heart and Soul into every song he sings. Very special person to sing with so much passion. Beautiful song.
