Ive done a little surgery to his backpack and have gotten these in. I seemed to have had excess plastic in 3 of the 4 holes. I heated it up and pushed a pen cover in for more room
That’s a lot of extra work for something that should’ve easily attached. But sometimes hasbro gonna hasbro. Glad you got them in - it makes a huge difference
Got mine last week. Haven't had any issues with putting the arms in. The only problem I've had is getting him to stand on them. I see a lot of people being able to do it and mine just won't, but I'm gonna keep trying. Figure is awesome and no way he should be in the top 10 worst for this year.
Sadly it might come down to super gluing the tentacles onto the Doc. At least they stay in the figure, then bend them to suit the look you're looking for.
The tentacles really needed to be ratcheted or in square pegs. They don't stay in place at all for posing. What a wasted opportunity. It's almost like they didn't test it at all before sending it to production.

I hate to say it but Hasbro can be really embarrassing sometimes when it comes to QC. I collect the Star Wars retro line and every single series 1 character who holds a blaster doesn’t hold it well. Han Solo hardly holds it at all, he barely holds it at the cartridge. what’s truly brutal is they realized this was an issue with the initial retail run, fixed it for the later series, then re-released series 1 as a box set with the same issues.
Your frustration with Doc Ock was palpable. I had a chuckle when you were talking about old ladies and short hair because for some reason I had that exact same thought earlier today. Prior to watching this video. Also when you mention green and gold, to me they're the colours of Australia 😊 I have fond memories of the ToyBiz Doc Ock figure because I found it in a toy store when we were on a family holiday.
Mine were fine. I think it was due to irony honestly. I stuck the OG Hasbro tentacles in first just to see this Ock with them. Then tried the new ones on the old version. I'm just miffed Hasbro lied when saying the tentacles are compatible with previous versions. These so not work well with the first version of Ock. The good news is I think because of sticking the larger tentacles first in made putting the tentacles go in easier.
Oh man....I was waiting for an F bomb. Not that you wouldn't edit it out. But I think we were close. Lol. Too bad the QC issues are seemingly never-ending with the Legends line. So many varying defects that keep coming right alongside the ever-growing prices.
I had the same issues with the tentacles but it’s a pretty easy fix or not even a fix but more, so how you actually are supposed to do it you just have to press really hard in and it’ll pop in there. You don’t necessarily hear a click but it’ll become firm. You can’t lightly put it in there. You have to really press it in there, so it sucks but they do fit you just have to use some strength.
My tentacles fit perfectly. Had to push them in securely but it can even stand up on the tentacles in the classic doc ock pose on them. It is exactly what i hoped it would be. Maybe yours is just defective
I hope he’s seeing this but The thing is he’s not pressing them hard enough it’s almost making me laugh every time it falls out I had the SAME issue but I just got so pissed I jammed it in and then was like … oh i wasn’t pressing hard enough lol.
I will say hot garage quality control fail. How do you not test the tentacles out? Possibly the prototype had different tentacles? At least he didn't break.
I just got mine and I had the exact same issues with the tentacles they would fall out very easy at first, but I just really put a lot of force into sticking them in and they popped right in and haven’t fallen out since. I think you just need to really push and force them in there hard and they should be fine
The tentacles for my Doc Ock fit like a glove there was even a stratifying pop sound. Hopefully you figure out what’s wrong with yours because this Doc Ock is amazing!!
Just got mine yesterday I had to make sure that my figs were good cause when I got spider-man and carnage spider-man had a upside-down spider symbol on his back but Hasbro sent me a new 2pack
Aunt May is in contention for worst marvel legends of the year. As far Dr Octopus' tentacles, you have to push in them harder. It sounds like they click, but then push them in further and they will click again. I thought mine were messed up as well at first.
Old woman cut their hair short usually cause when alot of woman get older their hair gets thinner, to not make it as noticeable they cut their hair shorter
Even when pushed in properly Doc Ocs tentacles are too heavy to be supported by the joint - Makes it awkward to pose and they'll keep moving over time. They REALLY should have locked in place better. I added a tiiiiiny tiiiny bit of superglue just to keep them in place and it makes a whole world of difference.
I couldn’t do it a first too. I ended up making the tentacles straight to give you the most momentum to stick them in . The bottom two were easier I had to use force with the tentacles straighter at least where your putting in the pressure.
Glad you found a solution for the tentacles but that shouldn't happen. I was tempted by this set to finally have an Aunt May figure, and while I watched this show, I need my Aunt May with gray hair like in the comics. She does look like Linda McMahon. This video reminded me that I'll never grow up. Still laughing at Aunt May not having a deep hole.
Ironic that you swapped out the tentacles because they visually match their new Doc Ock's better, and I believe more accurate. 👍🏽 Tight tentacles and not so deep holes... Mr. Peterson you naughty boy!!! 🤣
Man I really feel sad for you about those tentacles. Cause it's definetly QC issue. Looking at every single other review tentacles stay in. Only rotate easily but not coming off. I recommend you to check different reviews to like this figure more and see this is just your copy which has BIG defect
Sucks about the tentacle QC. I thought mine were loose at first too but I pushed them in real hard and haven’t had an issue since, actually it’s quite hard to get them out now. Seems like it’s the peg plus the base of the tentacle that fully needs to sit in there. You’d think it would’ve made more sense to just have them be apart of the backpack and have that secure in, but I guess they wanted the backwards compatibility. Hasbro really needs to get their QC under control cause if you get one that is solid like what I got he’s a super fun figure
I don't buy this set, only GG and MJ, but that's because I'm tired of the prices of that goblin, still I think was lazy to use Bucky Cap pieces on him, and not pinless.
As far as the three stooges go, if you can get around the fact that Shemp is no Curley, he's not bad, and some of his stuff is pretty funny. Now the classic line up of Larry, Moe, and Curley, nothing compares to it and if I had to choose between Shemp or his little brother. I, of course, like everyone else, would choose Curley. With that being said, Shemp is underrated imo. Doc Ock almost has Bret Hart sunglasses going there. I would have been furious if I wanted this Doc Ock and his tentacles didn't fit. At least there are others. I wouldn't have expected Aunt May to be the better figure here.
Hmm...seems like more mixed reviews on the Doc Oct tentacles. What a shame they finally try to put out an Aunt Mae figure and they blow it with the two pack tentacle mishap. Well, you gave it your best shots, Kyle. That's all that counts. It's gonna be tough for me to have to pass this one up because I been looking to grab another Doc and an Aunt Mae and this would have been perfect. But, I'm probably gonna have to try a long game or something on this one.
The tenticles go in fne, you just have to push REAL FUCKIN HARD!. They super tight fitting and when they go in, there's like a 2nd level of "in" you need to push past.
@@KylePeterson1980 fair enough, it just didn't look like you were getting results and could have tired harder. But I have faith that you know what you're doing. It just didn't carry over well on camera I guess.
What a shame. I think you were unfortunate as my version of this is fine and the tentacles fit snug. They do clip in with some force. I can see you were applying more than enough pressure though so must be a faulty one.
This set is a huge disappointment. One of the main reasons I bought this was the tenacles were suppose to be interchangeable with the previous Doc Ock the one from the Lizard BAF and the ML team even flaunted it on the reveal video for this set and they don't fit right and pop off when moving them around and one of the plug ins broke. I'm returning it. We'll see how that goes. This set is hot garbage.
