Princess docked beautifully. Gotta love bow and stern thrusters. Xenta stick all the way. Gimme that Sunseeker, she is gorgeous! Another excellent video, keep them coming.
Parallel docking is a breeze with thrusters. Wish cars had em lol. I like Feretti but this one did nothing for me. Some really nice yachts though. Thanks again!!!
Loving the Miami River, some amazing footage. The guy docked the Princess Yacht as if he was parallel parking a Mini Cooper, cool as a cucumber :) Thanks!
Great vid... I wonder if Tugs would still be necessary if we used the same technology on cargo vessels as that yacht has... Bow & Stern thrusters; video cameras; laser measures..... nope, no need for a tug anymore; except as a stand by in case one of the systems fails.... leave the cameras/laser measures behind hatches, pull the hatches when close in and they will be needed. Done deal.
As good as all cargo and passenger ships have bow thrusters and have had it a few decades now. In many cases, they can go in and out of port without the help from tugs but if it's extra tight or windy, the tugs are still needed.
Tugs will always be useful for safety reasons , and compromising storage space of a tanker or freighter to fit thrusters is inefficient so that s the reason not the lack of technology
Wow!!! What was that huge ship doing there!!! At the end of you video/photo. I guess that small huge tanker was empty from the load of whatever!!! Dann!!! I saw the tug boats pulling and chasing with that ship!
I see and like the buildings there along the inlet there where the yachts and boat. I am sure there are some condos there so it would have scared me living in one of the condos and seeing something that big floating by my terrace/balcony while I am having coffee. Hahaha.
@@MiamiBoats some guys will not understand. There is a big difference from docking a 24 foot Boston whaler and a 90 foot fly bridge where its not just the current you have to worry about but the boat becomes a huge sail and now any wind will mess you up and any mistake can cause 50 to 100's of thousand of dollars as apposed to a couple of hundred dollars.
