Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is used to treat some chronic, non-healing wounds. Initially utilized to treat decompression sickness in divers, HBOT is now used for a number of medical problems, both chronic and acute. It is a simple yet effective treatment process in which a patient breathes pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber, allowing the greatest amount of oxygen to make its way into the lungs. Since the healing process is highly dependent on having enough oxygen, exposing the body to high levels of oxygen stimulates its natural healing capabilities.

Important question: In your experience and research, is separately Ozone IV therapy and HBOT safe with most young healthy adult patients with a very small intracranial aneurysm? As their is in the scientific literature extensive laboratory and clinical evidence supporting the role of Ozone and HBOT in blood vessel protection and Endothelial Cell function: Ozone and HBOT has been shown to improve: hemodynamic stress, hazardous NOS activity, endothelial cell function, oxidative stress, is vasoprotective, anti inflammatory, lowers blood pressure and has vasodilatory properties. Would love to please hear your scientific opinion. Thank you very much for your time!

What is the best pressure for wound healing?
10 месяцев назад
Hi, I'm a pre-diabetic with wounds 5 inches long on the outside of both feet from abrasion that occurred from two Zinc Unna boots. While the Unna boot healed a shin wound, it messed up the side of the feet. I have lymphedema that further complicates healing. What I want to know is how do I know if the HBOT is working over what period of time assuming four 60 minute sessions a week?

I too am looking to find out if this treatment really works and if so how many treatments will I need. I spoke to a non-medical employee at Ohana Hyperbarics located north of Seattle and was told I would need at least three 60-minute sessions a week for x amount of weeks and that only going once a week for a 60-minute session would not help.

Hello! I have had an open wound on the bottom of my right foot which is the size of a quarter for 3 months now which will not heal. My doctor tells me it's not healing because of a condition I have called peripheral neuropathy. I am not diabetic. Has anyone out there had a positive experience using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to treat such a non-healing wound? Thank you very much in advance.

Are these chambers safe after stitches. I have just had surgery on my Achilles tendon. I have this worry in my head that the pressure will burst the stitches? I’m 2 days post op in a cast.
