We share alternative treatments for chronic fatigue syndrome. This includes chronic fatigue syndrome therapies which are holistic and scientific.

We understand healing chronic fatigue is your priority. We do our best to provide tips for everyone from those living with mild chronic fatigue to those with severe ME CFS.
And let's not forget about chronic fatigue in children. Losing your childhood to this debilitating illness is one of the cruelest things that can happen. Hopefully some of the advice we share will help facilitate their recovery from chronic fatigue syndrome.

Pamela is great! I have heard lots of good things about her courses. She actually wrote an article about resting strategies for the Living with ME blog livingwithmecfs.co.uk/2023/06/20/resting-strategies-for-cfs/

Can most severe mental illnesses and severe insomnia also cause chronic fatigue syndrome? I have generalized anxiety disorder, depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and insomnia. All of them are very severe. I can go to sleep throughout the night and wake up not feeling well-rested. I constantly feel tired and have had a headache and brain fog for about 1-2 months. It's harder for me to complete my daily activities, read books, and so on. Right now, I am taking a new sleeping medicine called Lunesta. It isn't working at its lowest dose. It's really frustrating to deal with so many medical adjustments for my mental health and insomnia. I find reading to be one of the hardest things to do because my brain can't function properly at all.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I will preface my advice by saying I’m not a medical professional, Dr Curtin was guesting on my channel. I have had ME/CFS for 17 years and sleep deprivation will definitely cause a deterioration of my condition. Several functional medicine practitioners I follow say sleep is one of the key things you need to fix before you can really begin to regain your health. So while insomnia may not be the sole cause of CFS it can definitely be a contributing factor

I found Visible was way too much hassle. The wearable has to be charged every single day (!), and can't be charged while in use. They recommend charging it while you sleep. This means it can't track sleep, and in order for it to be useful you have to remember to put it on right when you wake up every single day.

I can see how that would be annoying. I have a Garmin watch which tracks HRV and sleep and that only has to be charged once every few days

Sadly ME Clinics and GPs are still offering no real advice

Yeh mainstream medicine has a long way to go in terms of educating doctors and offering good advice to patients but there are some knowledge doctors out there, like Dr Curtin, and that gives me hope
