Dr. Reese confronts her recent paranoia by immersing herself in interactions with prison inmates.
From Chicago Med, Season 3 Episode 9 "On Shaky Ground": Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Bekkar are persuaded into performing a risky surgery on Dr. Bekkar's mentor while he is still conscious. Meanwhile, Dr. Choi and April suspect their patient is the victim of domestic abuse. Dr. Halstead and Dr. Manning are forced to deliver a premature baby. Also, Dr. Daniel Charles and Dr. Reese visit Cook County jail to give inmates their physicals.

Yeah, this very unrealistic. Former Prison Officer here. In Indiana at least, they'd go to a private room with windows, and I'd have to sit outside and watch. I hated it, because a lot of inmates knew how to slip cuffs, and I worked the hole, so the inmates were extra crazy. It was always nerve racking, and the doc was just as hot as the lady in this show. So lots of indecent exposure. Prisons are so much fun to work in.

Born & raised in Indiana! Which part of the state? If you don't mind me asking. I grew up in NWI, college in Bloomington, living in Central now. Just interested in which area. My heart SANK when the guard unlocked the gate and they showed that massive tower. Wtaf

That's never gonna fly. That treatment is hardly used anymore and it's only recommended as a last resort after exhausting all other treatment methods.

I’m glad she went back in and held her ground! She truly wanted to help people. What dr Charles said was true I’ve known people that have been in prison and many have said what dr Charles said. They do fear but have to act like they don’t.

In a way it’s sad how not just the inmates but we all cope with life’s monsters with drugs because of the forced environment we need to live in everyday and that environment is what governors and governments provide for us. They won’t get rid of the lifestyle we are forced to live or amend it at least but replace the pain stress and unhappiness with just pharmaceuticals. That’s it.

I mean if you need drugs I get it some of these inmates are at points in their lives where they need it.. but this shouldn’t be the only source of treatment.. other rehabilitation is important even if they are lifelong in prison.. time to spend with animals.. preparing food for shelters and communities within the cell sitting areas… drugs should be a part of rehabilitation for not just inmates but all of us but not be the sole solution
