Ehh Wilson isn’t as ‘good’ as the rest of the characters treat him, not that he needs to be; they’re all damaged people whose *need* to save people extends well beyond their professionalism for reasons unique to each character

I would just like to point out that at the end, when you mentioned "This is not House's fault that there was a bus crash.", the reason why Amber told House that "he [House] kind of deserves it" is that House was not really talking to Amber. The scene was a dream, and the Amber on that white bus was just a product of House's subconscious. House was basically talking to himself, blaming himself on what had happened to Amber.
@567secret
@567secret 2 года назад
24:21 It's part of House's internal monologue, he blames himself, I think this is building up to the psychiatry stuff House goes through in S6.
@rahulparhar1003
@rahulparhar1003 2 года назад
I think it moreso feeds into the idea of House as a selfish narcissistic user, of people and vicodin, that's why the journey through the psychiatric stint is learning to trust and actually value friends (apologizing to Wilson, making good faith efforts after Cuddy before relapsing). But definitely agreed, House blames himself and so will Wilson until like halfway through that season

Jesse Spencer is Australian in real life and IIRC, he's also the only one of his siblings who's not a doctor and his father is also a doctor. I think there's an interview floating about somewhere where he says that his brothers like watching House and pointing out all the errors. 🐶🐶🐶🐶 This was the season where the writer's strike was going on. So, they lost 4-8 episodes IIRC. That meant that they had to shoe in a lot of stuff into this final episode. So, the "it's House's fault" stuff and House's crush on Amber were meant to play it up further leading in. House had always been a problem for Wilson, but he always tolerated him because it was never so bad, and this season it was supposed to be the final straw. Unfortunately, we got a short season and all of those threads had to be rushed a little, so some of the justifications were shoehorned in and rushed.

The actual consulting doctors for the show must have felt similar medical anxiety. They are given the parameters of going from A to B, and most of the medicine has to be removed for brevity, and what is left has to be dumbed-down for layman consumption,. The brilliance of Arthur Doyle was that he managed it without established reference... and even managed to influence real detective forensics.

Can confirm Jesse Spencer is definitely Aussie (born in Melbourne). It just makes it so much more entertaining when, in an early episode of House, House calls Chase British, stating, "If you have the Queen on your money, you're British." Even more entertaining, the show's creator and producer had no idea Laurie wasn't from the US, his accent in his audition tape was so convincing, and was shocked to hear Laurie's "real" voice. As for the episode, a real kick in the crotch. Such a shame the writer's strike robbed us of so many potential stories. And it killed Heroes in season 2. Re: Chase doing surgery...After House fired him, Chase took up a surgery rotation at the hospital, which is why he did so many operations in later seasons. Lastly, the main problem I had with Amber's character is having trouble seeing past Anne Dudek's previous character from an episode of Friends, where she was Phoebe's eventual husband Mike's girlfriend "Precious". Every time I saw her, all I could hear was, "My name is Precious!"

We've all been there. Especially me these past three years. Three family deaths and much emotional trauma. You said "Fuck death" in the video, and that made me think of the show M*A*S*H, which you've at the very least probably heard of, but one of the main characters on there Dr. Hawkeye Pearce, was fighting to save a life (It's a Korean War medical sitcom/drama) and he yelled "Don't let the bastard win..." meaning the bastard was death.

Hey Dr Syl. The reason why people are blaming House, rightly in a way, is for a few reasons. ( i agree is is KINDA at fault): if the accident happened during the day, then no biggy. But House decided to get blackout drunk at like 3-4 AM which is reckless event. He is a druggie, so he is mixing drug and alcohol which is another reckless move. But the most important reason is he involved Amber. He shouldn't have called expecting Wilson to come pick him up (bad habit he thinks he can get away with). He should have called a taxy or taken the bus himself. Basically, all reasonable decisions would have him not being on that bus or being on that bus alone. I love both these episodes though, and might have cried the first time i saw it. I still come back now and again for the limbo bus scene.

She's not jaundice anymore because it is a TV show, and if her eyes were yellow the scene might not hit as hard. Now the part I don't like about Wilson is he is talking to his girlfriend, who is going to die any second, and she is comforting him. She says it's OK and he disagrees with her! She makes peace, and you tell her not to, and to be angry? I'm sorry, I know Wilson is supposed to be the good guy, but come on. Her last moments in this world are spent telling someone else it is OK. That is one hell of a bedside manor doctor. House "guilted" her into being on that bus with him, selfishly manipulating her to get on that bus in the first place. That's why House thinks he deserves to have Wilson hate him. I always think given what a strong character Amber was, they definitely made the right call waking her up. Such a great episode!

I was in high school when another student was driving his car too fast and hit the guardrail. One of the poles came through the bottom of the car entering his abdomen. Remember a team bringing his parents to the scene so they could say goodbye as the EMTs/Firemen said as soon as they remove it he would die. Stuck with me nearly 35 years later.

When she said “you kind of deserve it “ she means that house always woke up Wilson in the middle of the night to go and get him while he was drunk somewhere.. that was something that happened often, so if you get drunk often and you always call someone to get and help you at every time in night and day, the probability that something happens and that someone gets hurt gets higher.. he was selfish and in his mind he thinks that he deserves to die

Great reaction as always - you need to put out a long video compilation of you dancing to show intros Don't worry, you're not the only one crying, thanks for that 😛🐕🐶

Empathy is a bitch my brother... but I wouldn't give it up. Cry away. Outstanding acting in this show. Have a wonderful day and enjoy whomever you have as much as time allows. 🐶

I remember cryingg so much I could barely see my screen as they said goodbye to her. I actually LIKED Amber, which made it all that much harder, too.

🐕 🐕 🐕 🐕 I've seen this episode a million times but you actually made me cry with you. 🥺 I love House! Do More!! Side Note: You mentioned locked in syndrome. There's a House episode that centers on that. Season 5 Ep 19. React to that one!

I don’t know if you planned on watching it/reacting to it, but the mini-series adaptation of Adam Kay’s This Is Going To Hurt just started airing on the BBC last week ; it’s also directed by Kay, and chronicles his (quite grim) experience working as a junior doctor for the NHS before he eventually quit.

When people say that it isnt accurate when house sends people to search houses, i feel like thats kind of the point. Its illegal to do, and doctors dont do it. House does it because he literally only cares about solving the puzzle by any means, and regularly breaks rules and othes to find the answer. So while it isnt something thats accurate for doctors to do, its very accurate for house to do

@19:00 Kutner is so right. They didn’t need to say anything. Someone who is dying just wants to see as many people they can see. I love Kutner. I was so sad when (spoilers) he killed himself. Plus the Bon Iver music, how does one not cry during this moment.

Maybe when you say spoilers say it where the spoiler isn’t directly next to it 😕 like leave a few spaces and give ppl a chance

🐕‍🦺Greetings from Denmark! Do you think it would be possible that you would do a video about the Danish nineteen year old sailor Asbjørn Morell who survived a heartattack in 2020 and made a recovery, after having received chestcompression for no less than 100 minutes from the crew. I just think it's an amazing story, and shows how important CPR and perseverance can be in order to save someone. 🐕‍🦺 And I'd like to hear your take on the story :) Love the channel! 🐕‍🦺

I dont know. It is but if i had someone that cared about me i would want to say goodbye. If i really love them. If im alone for gods sake let me die without knowing it. But if i really am loved i feel like i would appreciate it.
