My whole family has had this and are still suffering 3 months later. I was the last to catch it. I've had it for exactly 90 days and although it's a lot better than it was, I still cough quite a lot and have at least one really frightening coughing fit per day. There've been many times I thought I wasn't going to catch my breath again. Please vaccinate!!
Bro I literally have it right now and let me tell you it gets so bad that I have extreme difficulty breathing at the most random times. My message to everyone GET VACCINATED. I didn't get it because my parents won't let me (I'm 16) and they think it'll go away on its own which it will... after months 😭
Vaccine wears off too. Many have had the vax but later in life its no longer effective. What is very effective is high dose Vitamin C 375mg oer kg of body weight split through the day. As per expert doctor Suzanne humphried. The vit C pairs up with the toxins created by the bacteria and neutralises them this lessens the severity of the cough.
I have whooping cough at the moment, I cough to the point I vomit mostly water but if I have something that’s really cold or even frozen that’s when I know I’m going to vomit. I went to the doctors and he gave me medicine and I’ve taken it all but my cough won’t go and I’m still vomiting. I just want to know what I should do..
Pretty sure i had it as a child and was vaccinated back then in the 90s, will my kids have be vaccinated back in 2000 and 2003? My 2003 has learning difficulties so get flu jabs yearly will she need this too despite her age?
Doctor i have a cough, a viral infection since 1 mouth but i didn't cough like you demonstrated. So i don't understand, i've had all symptoms of that disease but not the "whooo" cough menner
People deciding not to vaccinate their kids unfortunately. But also whooping cough comes in cycles every few years. The last cycle would've been during lockdown but because people were stuck inside, they didn't catch whooping cough (at least that was one less infectious disease to worry about back then!)
Well we do take an awful lot of immigrants into the country now. I can't see any other way that these illnesses could be reintroduced, seeing as they need people to carry them across borders.
I've got it at the moment, I'm an adult( 73) but I'm finding it a challenge. Worst thing I've ever experienced. I've had it for 8 weeks, hoping it will go soon. I cannot imagine how a baby would cope with it as their lungs are so small. Please, please listen to the doctor, please save children from this awful thing.
Hi I'm more or less fully recovered . It was a long illness but it started to clear by week 10. I only cough when I laugh now (or eat very hot chilli) .
