Thank you for making this video. I just got my labs back and my BNP is 191. I have every system of heart disease but I just had a stress test on my heart and it was normal. I'm over weight and on oxygen since I had covid in June and I have asthma. I just over exerted myself over a 3 week period from moving houses. I really pushed it. Could I have done some damage and could my bnp be temporarily elevated?
i habe all symptoms of heart failure out of breathe even just laying down. When I stand my heart is pounding away hard and fast. Even at rest my heart tends to be super elevated. but my BNP was 35. Echo showed diastolic dysfunction. And small perdcarditis effusion small 0.7. Also trace regurgitation like 3 valves im 21 and scared .
This was so helpful. My dad's level yesterday was 5,000. The hospital wanted him to stay but of course he won't. I'm hoping and praying that he will be ok. How high can these levels go?
Thank you for your video. Can BNP be raised due to exercise (Indoor cycling/Spinning)? History: 67 y, male, Type 2 Diab, 7 hrs/week intense exercise ( 4hrs indoor cycling, 3 hrs power pump) resulting in ave HR 115 bpm and max HR 168 bpm, over a period of 4 months, with recent ankle eodema, but no breathlessness, no chest pain; no diuretics, but on on Meds - Losartan K, Amlodipine
I developed postpartum hypertension a fee days after giving birth. I always had super low bp. It was causing chest and back pain so I went to ER. Troponin was normal Probnp NT was 267! Doctor never talked to me about it or followed up with me. I did my own research and discovered it was a dangerous level and that was two years ago
My Troponin was normal, my BNP was just under 2000.......... Doctor said I had heart failure caused by high blood pressure, BNP is normal now, I am on Entresto.

I am sorry but for medico-legal and ethical reasons I can't give clinical advice or pass comment on individual blood results on this channel. This is designed as a general education channel. Please consult your doctor or health provider for individual questions or if you have concerns about your health or blood results who will be able to interpret them in relation to your individual clinical picture. I hope you found the video an informative education resource nontheless. Best wishes.
Mine went from 93 to 421 in one month. Could this possibly be inaccurate? Should I have a third blood test done? If it is an accurate reading, why would it jump so much in just 4 weeks? This was just an at home blood draw to renew my life insurance policy. I got these results by email. Have not seen a doctor.
Wow, Ty as I honestly believed that I was a semi fit & healthy 56 yr old yet this morning I opened my health portal to check on my blood work results and my NT PROBNP number from that analysis is 295 pg/mL. Shouldn't my Dr have called me? Hmmmmm
I was diagnosed with heart failure in the ER this weekend with heart attack symptoms that was not a heart attack. my BNP was 1505. What is the most successful diet plan for heart failure? There are SO MANY contradicting diets on the internet and I want to start NOW. My referral appointment is in a few weeks.
Thank you very much for this video. This helped me much. I had a BNP of 1046 and wonder if this could have been caused by an afib episode? I never had (known) heart problems before and went to the ER 3 days ago.
Thanks Doctor. I have a BNP of 375 pg/ML. However my Doctor said he is not worried about it since Creatinine levels are normal (1.04 mg/dl). Just curious - Is the creatinine level linked to BNP levels?
Hi really sorry but I can’t provide individual medical commentary on this channel for medicolegal reasons and it’s designed as an education channel (vs clinical advice)

Thank you so much for watching the video and taking time to leave a comment. Unfortunately (and I know this will be frustrating for you), I am unable to give individual medical advice out on this channel. This is because of medico-legal reasons, not knowing your full case, circumstances, and it would be unethical of me to do so otherwise. I have included the general resources I used to make this video in the description box but I have to advise that you speak to your own health provider (e.g. doctor, nurse) so that they can properly assess your case. This is the safest and most ethical advice I can give since this is just intended as a general educational resource. Thanks for understanding.

Really appreciate your efforts doctor. I have a query why we turn off Nesritide 2 hours prior drawing BNP, it was something like we have natural form in our body and if we cant then it will further increase the results for BNP . Its so messed up, im in nursing school btw

Thanks for the video Dr. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday and while reading my results noticed my pro-BNP was 10 pg/mL (Low) with a reference Range:50 pg/mL - 92 pg/mL. Is this something to be concerned about?
Hi - I am really sorry but I can't provide individual medical advice on this channel (as it is an education channel vs. clinical advice platform). My advice for all individual queries is always to see your own doctor if you are concerned, but I also hope you found this video informative and hope you are ok. Thanks.

Doctor thank you. I do have a question. I had a stent put in 4-28-2023. My cardiologist said it went great. About a week ago on 7-2-2023 went to hospital because I could tell my BP was too high. It was and they gave me some type of shot to lower it about 7pm at night and did blood tests until about 11pm They ended up admitting me because they couldn't reach my cardiologist. About 2am the nurse told me they were going to do an echocardiogram in the morning and that mey BNP was 918. Next morning a new doctor came in and said my CT scan with dye was good and my EKG was good and no heart attack and I was free to go home. I didn't know what a BNP was this last 10 days waiting for my cardiologist to come back from holiday. Upon seeing him today and trying to explain my fears. He told me that my echocardiogram late April was great. The pressure was perfect and there was no hardening in the heart. He went on to say my stress and anxiety was the culprit and an elevated BNP by itself doesn't mean heart failure. He said to relax keep eating my whole foods diet and exercising and I am ok. He'd see me in 6 months that my blood pressure was great, My breathing was 99 percent. Heart rate 78.. I apologize for the long comment. Dr. is he correct? I can't handle anymore stress and just curious as to your opinion. Thank you Dr.
Hi my troponin t serum is 17ng/l but my nt pro bnp level is 1821pg/ml. Crp level 7 Side note: Just had an asd surgical repair via OHS 2 weeks ago. on diuretics and amiodarone and antibiotics. Having bottom right rib cage sharp pain when breathing in, diagnose with small effision with atelactasis. Will it affect the results?

my BMP level measured by LabCorp in America is 129.5. The visual scale is 0 to 100. 129.5 is "off the charts". the levels u mention here have no little correlation to pg/ml( the test does show pg/mL) :( I think the gist of it is I am doomed.
