Aruni was a schoolmate and a great buddy but we lost touch after graduation from med school. Even back then, he has been a humble and very kind person, somebody you can rely on and has your back at all times. I really admire this guy because he has always cared for other people, putting them first before himself. I am glad you have found your purpose bro, the whole gang would be very proud of you no matter what you have decided to do in your life. I hope you will still find it in your heart to practice Medicine again because I know deep inside that that is what you were meant to do. Goodluck bro and God bless you always. Hope to see you again Lakay!!! - AS (the guy with the straight back) 😂

Our kababayan here in Zamboanga, who spent many years in Canada, once shared a remarkable insight with us. "Canada is like a gold mine, great for working and earning, but not really a place to live." He went there solely to make money, living in a dingy basement and saving every penny. And save he did! He retired early and returned to our Province here in Philippines, with fortune in his pocket. Today, our kababayan lives like a king. Thanks to his frugality in Canada, he now owns not one, but two magnificent mansions and cars in our hometown plus the low-tax, low-cost-of-living and perfect weather here in Philippines. And as if that weren't enough, he's also invested in real estate rentals, with a profitable side business that brings him even more wealth. No more homesickness. Being around with close peeps gives him all the warm fuzzies and a sense of belonging that he couldn't find in Canada and anywhere else. But he still loves to travel to back Canada and other countries for tour purposes only.

Becoming a doctor in Canada as an international medical graduate is extremely tough. Even if you pass all the required tests, there's no guarantee you can start practicing. Each hospital in Canada usually offers just one spot per year for international medical graduates. Unlike in the Philippines, passing the test here doesn't mean you can start working as a doctor. You have to complete residency training first. Additionally, the test to become a doctor in Canada is much harder than the one in the Philippines. In the Philippines, the test mainly has straightforward questions. In Canada, it's more about practical knowledge and thinking critically. Also, to get into medical schools in Canada, you need to have excellent grades. Most students who make it have very high GPAs, showing they are super smart and really well-prepared for medical school.

I think it's a case to case basis lang siguro. I was supposed to work in Canada but I always postponed it. Dahil I am working as a livein carer in Europe at libre lahat ako. Malungkot nga lang. Anyway me RU-vid at Netflix naman. My employer pay my tax contribution, free food, bills, housing. May 2 Condos, lots, car and a house to live. I am a single mother at sa awa ng Diyos ang anak ko at pamangkin ko is mabait, ambitious sila. At safe din naman sa town ko. We are the same town with FRRD so the drugs and the peace are controlled. I hope I can retire in Philippines and live a simple life. God is good. Tulungan at i guide yung mga anak but not to the extent na nabuhay ka na lang for them.. Misis ko 43 years ild ju g nag start na mag undergo ng exam sa australia, it took her almost 5 years to complete her bridging, failed exams, passed exams, failed again , pass again etc until while she is working as GP now she just completed her RACGP. Ang cost are Tears,, frustrations, anxiety, depression, sleeplessness night, unhealthy body names all we experienced it all in Australia. But last December she is now certified RACGP at the age of 50. 8 years all in all In the making. She survived, we survive, we just started it and we didnt mind the years. ako dati gusto ko rin mag canada. After 2 years bumalik ako. Pumunta ako ng San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Long Beach, at Las Vegas.

You can work as a nurse or pharmacist. Here in the U.S. there are Pinoys mga doctors din sa Pinas but since mahirap talaga ang process to work as docs here, they took the NCLEX and the pharmacist board which they passed so they were able to work either as a nurse or a pharmacist. Both have really good salaries. And I also know some Pinoy doctors here who graduated in medical schools in Pinas and were able to pass the medical board here so they also were able to practice their medical profession here. Some even opened their own private clinic. Maraming options, if you can't work in hospitals you can work in other medical fields or medical facilities like nursing homes, or as visiting doctor for hospice or home care, work for federal or state institutions like prison infirmaries etc. etc. etc. or teach in small schools that offer medical courses etc. But if you're doing good as an Uber driver for now until you find a job that you will like, then good for you. Good luck.

After her eldest sister migrated in Canada, she still need to study again and passed the dentist licensure exam,in order to become a certified dentist in Canada. Lucky when her sister passed the said exam she instructed her sister( pharmacist) to migrate also in Canada, but sad to say it didn’t push through because he r IELTS is already expired..

I love Canada 🇨🇦, the land of opportunity and the melting pot of culture. I'm blessed and trully grateful to be here. I know a lot who came here with medical professions , they worked as security or taxi driver, etc while pursuing their studies and became successfull . You can actually apply for student loan if you want to go back to school. Couple of my friends went to a lot of sacrifices pursuing their RN careers and it paid off, they are now working in the hospitals as RN. All it takes is hardwork, patience and perseverance if you really want to achieve something . There's no place for complaining and laziness here, everyone has to work hard to save for retirement and also be smart and wise with your money so that you can retire and enjoy your fruit of labor in your chosen place of retirement 😉😀

He tells the real life story here. I landed an immigrant from Saudi in Nov 2011. It's very hard as an IT professional to compete. It took me 5 months to do a survival jobs but my heart is heavy. Bumalik ako sa pag aaral, nag apply ako ng OSAP from government to funds my education. I passed all the necessary Microsoft Cerifications and got a decent job that I did in Saudi right after my studies. I have the Canadian Diploma and few of the Microsoft Certifications in my belt that landed me with my preferred job. I am enjoying the fruit of living in Toronto and mind you, this country is not abed of roses

Tama! For me it doesnt matter as long as you earn more than what you earn in the Philippines.

If I were in his shoes, I would stay in Middle East as a Doctor. Save money and invest (especially in real estate). Then let your investment work for you. Enjoy life by travelling and visiting other countries like Canada. Migrating in Canada at 42 and start a new career would be very challenging for him. He has 18 years left before he reaches 60. It would be very hard for him to establish a career in Canada while saving for his retirement (considering the cost of living in Canada). It would be more attainable if he just stayed in Saudi and continue to practice his profession as a Doctor. For me, moving to Canada was a poor decision.

Ang vision ng Dr. ay nagsakripisyo for the sake of his family. Hind self centered na magtravel. Kasi Ang pagbyahe magastos yun.Setting aside the Pride in order to fulfill his dreams.
