Vitamin D is so vital, I helped someone who is biracial and has a darker skin. Over the years he looked so pale and wasn't feeling good and it got worse and worse. I knew about the problem with dark skin and beeing in a cold climate, where you cover your skin constanly, that you would have very low vitamin d levels. So I told him he started high dosis of vitamin d3 combined with magnesium, which if you have been depleted, you can't take high dosis of vitamin d3 in your body in a healty way. After 4 weeks he felt so much better, looked so much more vibrant it is so wonderful, he thanked me so much and I was just so happy to see him healthy and happy😊

It always breaks my heart hearing how man have such grand problems to express their love to their sons. My husband never hears how proud his dad is, but when we are in his home town, we get so many information about US from the taxi driver, the waitress in the restaurant or random people talking to us on the street. He never tells my husband, but the whole town how proud he is, how good he thinks we do and how happy he is that he went his way.

I seriously thought something was always wrong with my brain. I'm almost 25 and since early teenage years I've always been moderately anxious, moderately depressed, somewhat anti-social, lethargic, brain fogged. 3 weeks ago I quit marijuana and switched from 3 large cups of coffee per day to 3 cups of green tea, and I finally feel like a normal human being with a healthy brain. I wake up refreshed and in a good mood, I no longer feel like a zombie after the work day, no more morning nausea, less mood fluctuations, and I no longer need to sedate myself to go to sleep.

New here-- It’s so hard to find a podcast that the interviewer truly allows their guests to speak without the “uh huh, yeah, laughing, or interrupting”. That’s why I’m now going to subscribe bc I really appreciate that. I like to get to know the actual person and it’s very hard to bc many times their cut off from what they were going to say bc the interviewer just tries too hard or can’t listen well….. you’re doing a great job and it’s definitely appreciated! I am so serious. I was watching another podcast earlier and it was so much talking and I wanted to know “what was Kelly Clarkson actually going to say at the end of that sentence” MANY TIMES! It was about her divorce. I just truly appreciate you allowing your guests to- have the floor! And you have great feedback and questions as well. Great interview!

They also have amazing videos on RU-vid and as student in the medical field I really appreciate the work they have and are doing. I mention it constantly as I don't agree with the current "treatment" system which isn't aimed at a cure just life long pill taking. Dr Julia and Dr Bonnie look at nutritional needs as the answer and the book even includes loads of affordable nutritionally dense recipes. It's a game changer and I wish the book existed a decade ago so that I would have been mentally well sooner. Wishing you the best recovery ✨🫂👌

Both my grandmothers drank coffee daily from their teenage years until their late nineties. They did not have any debilitated disease. One died of an accident in her nineties, and the other of a dog bite when she was 98 years old. My mother and father drank Ethiopian organic coffee daily from they were teenagers until they passed away in their eighties. I have their medical record, and they had no chronic disease. However, the coffee they drank was real organic Ethiopian COFFEE. As far as I know, my ancestors and family who drank coffee daily do not have any debilitating diseases, including brain disease. Drinking pure coffee on a daily basis has a lot of benefits.

I have been with my neuro psychiatrist for over 10 years and I sat in awe throughout this session because it felt like I was sitting with her. (Saw a neuro psychologist for 5 years) When Dr Amen said that we shouldn't be seen as our diagnosis, that warmed my heart because that's what my psychiatrist always tells me. She'll be like, "I know you so well Dieketseng, I'd be a best seller if I had to write about each of my patients because I know them even when they aren't sick" I can't wait to show her this. From the moment Dr Amen spoke and till the end, it highlighted and reminded me of my mental health journey with my neuro psychiatrist, and how blessed I am to have her. She "fixed" me - of course I had to put in my work too. I do believe if she didn't care and was a "typical" mental health professional, I wouldn't be here. I am going to send her this episode to remind her what brilliant work she has been doing. Even on days she may think ots not enough, she can return to this episode and see that someone out there shares the same values when it comes to being a mental health professional. And I bet she will be happy to reiterate that she's been telling me to take care of my brain. The "I told you so" card is coming. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Even if you wanted to still drink coffee, you know whatever but what I don’t understand was why you were drinking 5 to begin with thats way too much that’ll make you sick. I mean apparently it wasn’t making you sick in your stomach but you made it clear that it was in your head though. I only drink 1 coffee. Tbh I don’t even drink coffee everyday. But still you never should have more than 1 in a day that’s really really bad. Besides everyone’s knows coffee isn’t good for you to an extent anyway. Just like how people say 1 glass of alcohol can be healthy for you and helps with certain things but of course if we have too much we get intoxicated and get upset stomach and vomit. 1 glass can help with good health anymore than that then it’s poison to us. Coffee is literally the same thing.

Same deep impact as the one with Simon Sinek. Just on different level. One lifesaving based on practicality and knowledge, other lifesaving by highlighing the importance in finding a true meaning in life, no matter how huge or small as it is subjective and contextual, while remaining vulnerable and authentic. Brenna Barkley. Find yourself a Bio-identical hormone MD. They are specifically trained for diagnosing and treating your hormones on a more natural level. I am blessed to have a bio-identical MD and she sends my script to a compound lab and they make my hormones specifically set for me. I get them tested now every 6 to 9 months, depending upon my levels at the time. Working with her, I have been able to drop over 70 lbs. I feel better than I felt at the age of 50. I am now 67. Look online and Google bio-identical doctors in your area. Many chiropractors are trained in this also, but unless they have an MD degree, they can not prescribe but can definitely direct u to someone who can.

Sam, think for a moment. If you met a man on the street who was telling you all the things you already knew, but don't like to say out loud, would you engage with that man like he was an expert, or shun that man like a hobo yelling at trash bins? Be honest. Think about what that means, "so many 'truths' that we all know but don't want to face". That means he's using common information to build false reference. That's a pretty big red flag. As a therapist... you should probably be able to recognize this. Just sayin. And if you read that book, God decided to stop sending things a couple thousand years ago. There are lots of RU-vid videos too (Brad Yates is fantastic) but it’s best to have some sessions with a qualified Therapist to begin with (or do an EFT seminar to learn it - I did training with Karl Dawson who is based in the UK and he is brilliant)

Love this episode and Dr. Amen’s work to disrupt the industry. Healing my own cPSTD and understanding my own brain after all the traumatic experiences I’ve experienced in my childhood and got diagnosed with ADHD at 33 years old. It all started my deep inner healing work which turned my life upside down for the better. Although, it was not fun at first. Knowing what I know now.. I’m happy and grateful for my pain is a gift. It brought me back my joy, creativity, peace, freedom from negative emotions and it’s still a blessing to have my brain working hard to protect me all these years. 🧠❤️🎁 We need more of Dr. Amen in the world. One of my doctors dismissed my experience and made me feel like crap when I told him about my trauma. He told me to move on. WTF! He’s so old school and judgmental. That was it for me. I had to use my brain to do my squirrel work and research the condition I am in and feel to heal the pain that manifested in chronic illness that affected everything in my life.
