Personal guess about how the trap allowed Rogue to switch out for Ruby: the trap has a limit of people that it can hold and send. When there are more people on it than it can allow then it unlocks the movement part to allow someone to exit. Thus making the shove work. This would also sound quite similar to how D&D spells work so it would add on to the D&D connection of Rogue

Oh I like the D&D comparison. I assumed it's because of the limit as well but there was no exact confirmation, a reoccurring theme this season!

@@MrKakeJelly you can hear in the background when rogue shoves ruby out of the way, something about a transfer of matter and that 6 occupants have been reached again, i assume that is their explanation. I missed it first watch too since i was so focused on the doctor and rogue.

I agree y'all are probably right. The 6 max explanation was rushed. I just think it needed a little more time to explain or a one line later on when he replaces ruby. That would have helped with the confusion. But as you can tell, it didn't really take away from the story!

The trap locked at 6 with the addition of broken-beak, so Rogue (who knows his tech) knew he had to do a "matter exchange" to free Ruby by taking her place. He's probably never faced a situation where he could selectively free someone already locked in, so that's something for him to think about while he waits for the Doctor to find him.

Tennant was shown twice because he was 2 incarnations of the doctor 10 and 14. If it had been proper he would have been there 3 times as he was 10.5 to after being shot by a Dalek running to Rose.

Never watched Bridgerton either, shows like that and Downtown Abbey are not my cup of tea, but I did get the giste with this episode, in fact, it's my favourite so far, and that means they did a supurb job. For me, apart from the 'space babies' episode (not that bad but kind of creepy) this is an excellent season I'm enjoying so much ... just as I did with 15:38 ... amazing.

Rogue just must be back! You are not hiring Jonathan Groff, make him propose to the Doctor, kiss him on screen causing meltdown in the internet and then not bring him back ever. I want him ti be River 2.0. I just live for #Timerogue (that's name if their ship on tumblr btw). Also, they better have a singing duo with Ncuti when he'll rescue him!

We knew it was going to happen OMG GAY KISS RIP DR WHO. They seem to forget Capt Jack Kissed the Doctor. His Conversation with Martha he admitted he loved the Doctor. When he took over from DT who was broken completely depleted this Doctor as he said in the episode Live for the ones who cant, The energy he brings to the show for me has been lacking since MS left, I do think Rogue is being setup as the new Capt Jack/ Riversong. Not the best choice of words from the haters "It's being rammed down people's throats....."

There's a bit of a split whenever there's a romance for the Doctor or what could be looked on as a romance for the Doctor. I'm kind of loving how you're blanking on Rose when you go through your examples. Kind of forgot about here just like the Doctor did in "Girl in the Fireplace." Maybe you were only listing one-offs at that point. (I know people aren't going to say Martha, but I think there was something there on his part; it was just a bad time.)

@@MrKakeJelly on a second thought, the trap was calibrated to 6 persons, so there were already 5 birds plus Ruby, so a seventh one would destabilize it and they could all go free, but since Rogue pushed Ruby off, it became stable again
