I don’t agree that Ruby’s mom being a normal person is okay. It’s doesn’t add up with the clues. The same with 73 yards. Good stories have logic behind them

I suppose I felt they couldn’t live up to the conclusion they were building up to. That why I personally was OK with Ruby’s mum being ordinary. I did like the ambiguous 73 Yards ending. :-)

@@kaptainuke i feel like not being able to live up to a conclusion is a problem not an excuse. I feel like they shouldn't have included the mystery stuff if they weren't going to use it and the name pointing thing was just really lazy writing i felt.

It does need to lay off trying to get The Message out all the time and concentrate on good storytelling. I’m really enjoying this series but the Disney agenda was written all over Rogue which was completely awful.

@@kaptainuke I mean I don't mind a doctor who episode with a message but it needs to be done well I think the series is very hit or miss especially with the ending

Mistro is my favourite villain in this series so far. The character is so unique and I hope to see more of mistro in later episodes

I want to know who her old lady neighbor is. When she went to care for the grandma she started talking really weird, almost knowing what was happening. Calling her a "human" and such. What is she, who is she? I think the old lady is a boss or something.

I love the new Doctor even though somtimes the writing was a bit of its and funny show and really enjoyabel to watch

I agree. The show is enjoyable and he’s great. I don’t think the writing is quite matching up to how talented he is. He cries far too and he’s a bit showy offy.

My ranking as follows; it'll be interesting to see how it compares with yours. 1. 73 Yards 2. Dot & Bubble 3. The Devil's Chord 4. Boom! 5. Space Babies 6. Legend of Ruby Sunday (would be higher, but I don't like this version of UNIT) 7. Empire of Death 8. Rogue

Nahh Disney has some input but RTD has the final say. They were far from bad scripts imo (bar the finale)

@@kaptainuke I don't know, I think I prefer when he's got control over the show rather than having some board tell him what he can and cannot do. It's the difference between personal vision and committee approval. I really didn't have any issues with this season (again barring the missteps taken in the finale). I really think this is up there with series 1 and 4 of the revival; certain episodes like 73 Yards and Dot and Bubble are no less than masterpieces in my eyes

Rogue is the only decent episode in the entire series. Everything else is a waste of actors' and watchers' time

Each to their own and I understand why some people like that episode but for me it was a poorly written episode of a completely different show and they stuck Doctor Who characters in it.

I've described it as a period romance with some lame sci-fi crowbarred in as an afterthought. It bored me rigid, too; I've yet to watch it all the way through in one go, as it doesn't grip me at all. For me, it was easily the weakest story of the Season.
