There are people who hate and despise every era of the show, and there are people who love it all. My advice would be just wait to make up your own mind because you might love what some other people hate - that's definitely the case for me!

Wilf was the one who knocked four times in the prophecy. That’s why there was so much coincidence around Wilf, it wasn’t just the DoctorDonna, it was all leading up to Wilf, in the nuclear chamber, knocking four times on the glass to get released.

The song playing in Tennant's final scene there, Vale Decem, was pretty much a specially written Latin farewell to him. Even the name means "Farewell Ten"...just hearing that song makes me tear up even so long after this episode first aired.

Don’t listen to the negative people who don’t like season 5. It’s great. It’s a bit different, but not in a bad way. More of a fairytale vibe. Steven Moffat takes over as showrunner from Russell T Davies. Moffat wrote _Blink, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead,_ and _The Girl in the Fireplace._ If you like those episodes, you’ll like the next season.

The end of an era. I love tenants era. The next show runner has a different style and I love both. Season 5 has some absolute bangers. Excited to keep watching

There's a lot of strong opinions about showrunners and their strengths and weaknesses. Personally I enjoy the emotion of RTD's stories, but hated the contrivances. The Moffat era that comes up next is something I enjoyed more, but I can understand the detractors - especially for how he writes certain characters. One thing that remains consistent is The Doctor. If you like The Doctor, then each era of showrunner is another chapter in that character's story, and another chance to fall in love with them all over again. Everything else you hear/see is fans having strong opinions because of how much they love the show. That's no bad thing, but don't let the noise from any side drown things out. Hope you keep on enjoying!

Season five starts off with one of the best opening episodes for a doctor…. They had a new team takeover so it does seem different but it is just as good

I remember watching this live on new years day when I was like 10. Watching Tennant leave was TRAUMATIC 😂

Stephen Moffat is the show runner starting season 5 (the one you're starting next). He was a writer often in the previous 4 season and he has invented some of the most terrifying new monsters since the 2005 restart, including the Weeping Angels and the Vashta Narada (the shadow piranhas in the library). He's good at taking regular every-day things and turning them into nightmares.

Series 5 has a special place in my heart because the first time I ever watched doctor who was series five I was about 7 and just loved the fairy tale vibe it gave , I think you will love it

He had one hell of a ride

All the tears at the end of this episode. We were all sobbing on New Years day watching. S5 is a shift in the show, different but still very good in my opinion, some folk don't like it but only you can judge if you still enjoy it. Lots of great stories and moments to come!

I personally believe David Tennant was the best overall Doctor. BUT the Matt Smith era (what you're about to start on) is arguably the BEST era for Doctor Who STORYTELLING. And Matt Smith is an awesome as the Doctor. My 2nd favorite! Love the reactions, hope you keep having fun with Doctor Who!

Seasons 1-4 is like classic new doctor who, but 5-7 Matt Smitts era is as good as previous seasons. Its gonna be a ride to watch 😉

Be aware there are a lots of minisodes during the next Doctor's run. And at some point you should watch the 90's Doctor Who movie with Paul McGann.

I loved your reaction. I remember crying to this episode as well. David Tenant will always be my Doctor but Matt Smith has some great episodes and the River Song story arc (you meet in the David Tenant episode Silence of the library) is great.

We will always need some time to accept the new Doctor. For you this journey is still easier, because you don't need to wait a year after the new actor is announced. I think you can understand it now, but in the future you're going not only understand, but also feel it. The next showrunner is gonna blow you with fanservice and other very cool experimental and epic stuff.

Did you recognize the actor playing the new Doctor? He'll also be the lead in House of the Dragon as mercurial Prince Daemon Targaryen.

The best way to determine a new Doctor is to watch at least the first 2 or 3 episodes because the first episode the Doctor is always confused after a regeneration and hasn't developed their personality yet. Usually the second or third episode is when they develop who they are.

I’ve enjoyed your reactions. Don’t listen to those that constantly bash whatever comes next, they’re stuck. This show has always relied on change, not just with the doctor and companions but also in its style and storytelling. While some aspects may not always be strong there will always be love and adoration from the people that create it.

Omg, saying goodbye to David was the saddest thing ever but the next Doctor (the 11th) is my favorite, don't be discouraged haha. For real the stuff coming up is some of my favorite ever.

I've been watching Dr who since the 70's and it changes over time to keep fresh, don't worry about what a vocal minority think. Personally seasons 5-8 are some of my fav's . I hope you enjoy it, its a wild ride.

I remember having to take a break when I finished season 4 because I kept comparing this new doctor with the tenth one(david) but honestly once I got over that I looved 11 sooo much. So yeah it's totally normal to react like that at first with him but he grows on you(same with 12 which is my fav one to be honest). The next seasons are so goood, it's quite different but just as amazing although I do get why some people don't like them I guess. But I love some storylines of the next ones and I hope you enjoy them too!!

My feelings exactly… I loved David Tennant so much as the Doctor, when I first saw Matt Smith, I didn’t like him. I warmed up to him after a year or so, and even though Tennant will always be my favorite, Matt Smith is pretty dope.

Loved this reaction - season 4 is such a cut off - and russell davies was so indulgent in his sendoff of himself and tennant etc that he almost set up moffat to fail honestly since so many people religiously followed his version of DW- the fact matt, karen and arthur and moffat did SO well and expanded dw out to an american audience etc was amazing when so many people were hating on them from the beginning - youve probably done both of their seasons by now , but i kinda hope you did some behind the scenes of them - they were all really young and became SO close, the closest and funnest behind the scenes cast. Theyre my faves so Im nervous to watch on and see if you ended up liking them

Just so you know the new show runner who took over after this wrote pretty much all the best episodes up until this point. “The Girl in the Fireplace”, “Blink” and the 2 parter “Silence in the Library” & “Forest of the Dead”. He writes even more great episodes while show runner.

Ten forever my Doctor.

To me the only people who think the next episode is the beginning of the end only Love Tennant and are STILL sad that he can't be the Doctor forever. If those people got their way, then Tennant would be the only Doctor in the show, which would get a bit tiring for everyone else as one of the great and unique things about the show is that it can keep things fresh by changing the actor.

This is was the episode that I cried like a bitch hahaha. Epic episode, that's why i love so much Tennant and Russell T Davies. I'm super happy that he will comeback in 2023!

As someone who connected to Eccleston as "My Doctor", I'd like to give you a piece of encouragement. You might not connect to other Doctors the way you did with Tennant, but it doesn't mean that you won't be able to connect with them at all. I get the sense that you are open-minded and that is a wonderful trait to have when you watch this show. Give each new doctor a chance without expectations and knowing they will not be the same as the old. Get to know the new doctor in each regeneration for who they are and I believe you will find something in each to love. I saw three doctors after my doctor and I loved each. They will never be My Doctor but they were always the Doctor to me. Please keep up the wonderful reactions. They always bring a smile to my face.

Everyone have their own favorite Doctor and showrunner and that's something I love about Doctor Who, how the show evolves and changes. Even though series 4 is one of my favorites, series 5 is also up there for me, they have different strengths, but they're both fantastic.

The people that are saying season 5 is the beginning of the end are being drama queens 😅 seasons 5 and 6 are personally my favorite and season 5 really cemented Matt Smith as MY doctor, before then I was as distraught as you with David Tennant leaving. It's different for everyonethough. After watching the entire series multiple times, my least 2 favorite seasons are 1 and 2 because I cannot stand Rose, but every season has its ups and downs. I think you will enjoy the ride either way! Also just FYI Matt Smith who plays the 11th doctor is going to be in house of the dragon, the HBO GOT spinoff, he is in the trailer 😊

This story and regeneration is very decisive amoung fans, people either like or dislike the slow dragged out over emotional lead up to the doctor changing, acting like he’s actually dying rather than just changing his appearance. I personally like this regeneration and second half of the end of time. You have gotten through the 10th doctor’s era fairly quick, first 10th doctor reaction you uploaded was the 1st of may!!

Yep...this was the farewell to Ten. Even now, seeing it as many times as as I have, I'm still moved by this farewell. I still cry. About moving forward? MOVE FORWARD. Of course there fans who were unable to continue after Tennant -- I too, as Doctor Eleven entered the stage, said NO NO NO. But I stayed because I knew that writer, Steven Moffat, who had written "The Empty Child", "The Girl in the Fireplace", "Blink" and "Silence in the Library" was going to take the reins as Head Writer. Of course, some people were devoted to Russell T. Davies and became hypercritical of Moffat. While I, and many others, adored what he did with the series. Now I could give you the tired argument that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, blah blah blah....but I'm going to take a firmer stance. I found Moffat's time as Head Writer to be brilliant. Yes, Tennant set the watermark for all the Doctors to follow, and yes, we all love Russell T. Davies. But Moffat is brilliant. And to all the naysayers, let me retort without giving away any spoilers: In 2006, the prestigious Hugo Award for best dramatic presentation short form was "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" by Steven Moffat And Moffat won the Hugo AGAIN for "The Girl in the Fireplace" And AGAIN for "Blink" Three Hugo Awards in a row? I think Moffat deserves a chance.

First time watching 'The End of Time, part 2' I got so emotional and after watching it again, and again, I still get a bit emotional but less and less and it's sad one can't caption that first moment again... unless one watches it with you, boy did I cry and cry !!!! This proves you've got the real Whovian soul in you. This also means, I'm sure of, you'll like the next seasons too. As in, just like series 1,2,3 and 4, there are excellent episodes and some are meh, but most of the time, it's just pure joy to watch the Doctor ... any Doctor.

the Old Lady that Keeps Appearing could Ether be the Doctor had his Granddaughter with him on the First Series of the Doctor or it could be her Mother. or it Might be the Doctors Mother as time Lords can Regenerate or just don't age at all unless they want to

Tennant was great BUT Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor of New Who and I think Moffat is brilliant. (People have already pointed out the great episodes he wrote in series 1 to 4 so have faith!) Give series 5 and the 11th Doctor a chance. I think it's well worth it

Hello, I'm new to your channel and have never commented before but I would like to say that there are many people, myself among them, who love what's coming next. Please don't let the negative comments affect you going into 11s run but it sounds like your going to keep an open mind which is good. There are people I've seen who go on many different videos from now on just to bad mouth it because they personally don't like it. In my opinion it says far more about them and how they waste their time than the show. David Tennant was around a long time as the Doctor and that's the norm for a Doctor's run; however starting from 2005 it may not seem it. There is lots to like about what's to come. The music for one is amazing and Murray Gold is a genius!

Personally, I think that's bs about the show going downhill from here. Still, this was an amazing ending for Tennant.

I have so much to catch on - I still haven't watched Rose goodbye moment, lol.

Doctor Who fans are very passionate and there is a lot of love this/hate that. I just love the show no matter what. There are some classic Doctors that I aren't as fond of but in "New Who" I've loved it all including the Eleventh Doctor. With a show that's been going as long as this one has, not all episodes can be amazing & great but they are overall pretty good.

I've been a viewer of "Doctor Who' since I was a child in the mid-1970s (UK). It's something I grew up with and it's just been there all the time for me - apart from the 1989-95-2005 drought period!! - and I've (seriously) loved all eras that have come since, and most of them which came before (only 1 fell short for me!) DO NOT listen to ANY of the internet blabber or chatter out there. Opinions are like a*holes (everyone has one) and they are ALL so subjective. (the opinions I mean, not the other thing!) No-one is "right", no-one is "wrong". Go with the flow, there will be some episodes you'll like more than others (we all have those), but go in with an open mind, and you'll still be making these fantastic videos way into the future. (BTW - some of the more vocal, negative detractors are giving FAR too much air-time to what they deem to be 'the beginning of the end' of the series. In this era of multi-platform viewing and a myriad of broadcasters out there REMEMBER - a lot of the time in the UK the lifespan of the old series there were only 2, then 3 then 4 channels maximum which each broadcast for around 8 hours a day!! Even then, the old series was very often outside the Top 30/Top 40 TV programmes for the week - VERY often it was in the lower half of the Top 100 - viewing habits have changed hugely since the 1960s,70s and 80s - hell, they're even vastly different since 2013!! In comparison, the revived series is doing FANTASTICALLY well!! Go with it, you'll love it) Hopefully! ;)

The show should have ended in 1963. It was fine when it was about a policeman walking past a junkyard, but once they brought that doctor and his box in, the show went to hell.

I was like "Oh no, get those tissues!" I knew you were going to lose it, because they do put you through the emotional ringer in this one! Like others have said, keep watching and form your own opinions. I love David, but I love Matt Smith (the next doctor) too. Honestly, some of my favorite storylines are still to come, so hold on and decide for yourself. I hope you got rested up after this one, cause I know it was a doozy for you ❤

Just watching this again made me cry again lmao but yeah series 5 is great, I'm very excited for as time goes on with Matt Smith (the next Doctor) and also Peter Capaldi (my favourite Doctor who only just beats out Tennant for me). I wouldn't say the next series' are bad imo, they're great but have some different vibes. Would love to see how you feel with it all

Well, there's a thing. All these people who seem to like season five have popped up but that guy who informed me that it's just a FACT that NOBODY likes anything from season five onward is nowhere to be seen. Shocking and surprising. We all cried during the last half hour of this one. Most emotional New Years Day ever. Counting down to the glorious moment we see Andres wearing a certain iconic item of clothing begins now. Bonus points if he wears more than one! 😁
