A celebration of the wonderfully inventive imagery of the BBC's "Doctor Who" series set to the superb arrangement of the signature tune - "Doctor...?" by Orbital. Support the BBC/2/entertain DVD releases!
What I love most about this tribute is that it's just 'Doctor Who' through and through - no discrimination between the new series and the old. No matter which Doctor, which companion, which monster, it's a tribute to all things 'Doctor Who'. It reminds fans of the new series that the classic stories had their fair share of wonderful moments, and fans of the classic series that there's still wonderful moments to be had.
One of the great things about Orbital's version of the theme is that it manages to somehow capture the nuances and feel of every era of doctor who at once. That's how I feel anyway.
Great editing to the music, spot on, dramatic and punchy using the music and images to provoke emotions. Everyone is included including Richard Hurndall and no one is ignored. This is the sort of thing the BBC should have done for the 50th Anniversary. A small short to the Orbital version covering the entire history of the show. Great stuff. Are you sure you’re not in show biz because you should be. I think I will be watching this a few more times, Top marks, I am very impressed.
This is the best Doctor Who fan video, with the best cover of the theme song! Awesome job synching everything perfectly to the beat, and great clip choices! This is a perfect 50th Anniversary Tribute... even though it was created a few years ago.
Really, really, enjoying this ... and I've been watching WHO since 1963! Congrats on a great visual accompaniment to a superb version of the wondrous Theme Music! Orbital ROCK ! ! ! And so does this compilation :-D
This is excellent! Great editing... on the beat! A very nice balance also! And Orbital's cover of the Doctor Who theme is in my opinion the best. Awesome tribute!
Damn fine job, good mix of 'Doctors', makes a change, there sure has been a lot of companions over the years, and yes I like Orbitals version of the theme.
@Timelord6661 wish I could like your comment 100 times because it's so true, even in general TV shows where they highlight the Doctor's best moments from the new series (before Matt came in as 11) all they showed with Tennant and not ONE clip from Christopher Eccleston's series THAT STARTED THE SHOW OFF AGAIN I'd like to add. Tennant was good but I'm getting so sick of people thinking that around the world he's everyone's favourite
Dodo outside the TARDIS is from The War Machines (episode 1); the Doctor and Ace is from Remembrance Of The Daleks (episode 2). I wasn't sure which clip you meant but I hope that helps.
would love to see an 11 Doctors for the 50th Anniversary, but if they bring Bonnie Langford back in I'll have to smack Stephen Moffatt over the head repeatedly with a wet fish
No Sutekh or Omega?!! SHOCK!! HORROR!! DISGUST!!! But seriously: great job with edit - covers a lot of Doctor history and not limited to an old or new fanboy vid :)
I still maintain that the 3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwe) is the best. Not too sure about this new guy, even after a season. Is it my imagination, or, are the Doctors getting younger?? =Stefan=
Nice to see The Brigadier and Sgt. Benton got some decent screen time, and the awful River Song did not, but couldn't you have the given the Ice Warriors 2 seconds somewhere?
