Hey, LazerzZ! Weird to see you here. Love your videos on Assassin's Creed. I'm still not sure if I want to even play the latest one, though. AC2 was my absolute favorite. Origins was a big let-down for me, and Odyssey just took everything bad from it and copied it a bunch of times.
The Gangers from the monastery that had been converted into an acid factory had become self-aware, and knew they were Gangers, but prior to the solar storm they were being piloted around by the human versions in the harnesses, much like Amy’s Ganger, hence why the Doctor’s actions aren’t hypocritical.
u have a little error in ur thinking she wasnt a "real" flash, the others there were "alive" flesh but she was basicly only a vessel. the REAL amy still was the thoughts, thats why she always saw the women in the door, if she would have been a real flesh she would have not seen the door so the doctor not killed a "duplicate" but only the emty vessel and send amys mind back to her real body
Amy was controlling her ganger from a harness remotely, without knowing it. Her ganger was not a self-conscious copy of her, like the ones in the castle. Why do so many people get that wrong?
I feel that this two parter as whole is underrated as it tries to develop a lot with the secondary characters and some of it pays off but not all of it, and the hanger monster at the end is both cool and partly unnecessary but enjoyable all the same, I would say the horror aspects of this two parter are what bring it to life and Rory’s character development is well done and Matt Smith’s performance as both Doctor’s is funny and clever, but the cliffhangers are what steal the show to both these two partners and the cliffhanger in this episode may undermine the episode overall, but the fact Amy is a ganger is really shocking, overall I enjoy these two episodes all the same especially as they create a perfect build up.
Oh I was so looking forward to Deepa's reaction to that cliffhanger!!! It did not disappoint 😁😁 The eyes creep me out so f.... much... Real stuff of nightmare.... But yeah, I remember my reaction to the cliffhanger, I was so mindblown 🤯 Next one is another to look forward too. I'm especially excited to see Deepa's reaction to the intro of the episode (one of my absolute favorite!!!) Also, you two should definitely have your own show 😉
When you describing your mum calling and going out to find your mum saying 'I heard it too'. That reminded me of folk stories from America of creatures called skinwalkers who can imitate creatures and even people to try and lure them to their deaths. Usually they will imitate someone you know and once they have your scent they will even follow you home and you will hear them at night trying to trick you into going outside calling to you in familiar voices.
So so so excited for Deepa to see the next episode! I'm not a huge fan of the Smith era, but that episode really does feel like a celebration of his Doctor
I'm so happy you're back! I missed your reactions and interplay terribly, especially since I knew you were close to covering my favorite episode of the entire 2005 series---and it's coming up next!
Wow Luke so interesting that this is when you were most into Doctor Who ever... it is the ONLY season I've not watched live because after Episodes 3 and 4 I gave up on it, I was done with the convolution of the plot. I really don't like The Rebel Flesh/Almost People EXCEPT for the ending which I was really excited to see Deepa's reaction to and she didn't disappoint. I do love the overarching storyline resolution in the next episode though, so I get why you love that one. :)
Yes, Stupid was awesome! But Young Dracula has to be the best children TV show ever. Rewatching it again and it’s brilliant. So well done with a great child cast, writing and pacing. And it was revived/came back after 4 years. That hardly ever happens!
The concept of this story is amazing. I can actually imagine if we were able to create doppelgangers of ourselves. We'd use them to complete jobs we're incapable of doing primarily for safety purposes whilst completely ignoring whether these doppelgangers develop the same consciousness and feelings as humans or just US. Great story. Engaging. A few flaws but who cares. And that ending is a big wow. 11 at his best.
I knew right from the start I wasn't me. I'm my next door neighbour pretending to be me. The real me is pretending to be my next door neighbour pretending to be me. Now I'm lost.
So there was a TV series called Stupid! on CBBC in the 2000s where an ethereal being called King Stupid controlled people and made them do stupid things. There was a sketch called 'Devil Finger' where a boy would basically poke people and say it was his finger which was out of control. Then he met a girl who'd bend people's fingers back, called 'Bendy Wendy' 😂 It was a very weird programme, but a few of the people in it went on to do other things. Marcus Brigstocke, Miranda Hart etc.
