@@Discrimination_is_not_a_right The interviewer came across as a well to do posh uni boy who sees himself as the star (as he sits reassured in his upper class anus) and everyone else ARE ALL constraints on his time and blessed self. Everyone can remember him without difficulty. Who was this Tom bloke? 🙄
Thank you for this rare clip! In Australia we never saw much of Tom Baker except in Doctor Who! .... and I was hooked on him ever since! 😀 Of course later on we saw Monarch of the Glen etc. He must have been near exhausted in this appearance rushing from the stage to screen set, and such a short interview and plug for his theatre work, how I wish to have seen the stage work he did, I will search to see if exists on film / video although obviously be never the same experience as the resonance of his magnificent voice and all the other players in a large live theatre...as he described so well!
Even Mr. Baker's "uhs" and other delays, aren't distracting and worth listening to. There are very few people I can say that about, and even fewer men.
Alot of people asking about Tom's hair...In the Tom Baker Years he mentions that he had to have his hair cut very short for a theatre production of which I cannot remember sorry.
Good to see Tom - even if it was so short! Also, a shame he was cut off so abruptly like that. I suspect the interviewer had someone buzzing in his ear like a bad attack of tinnitus!
I think the presenter leant over and presumably apologised at the end, but I agree he could have been less abrupt and put his wrap up in a less less reproachful tone; it's basic communication.
