This looks SO fun! Total side note...did you see that starting next Sunday that Twitch is having a Classic Who Dalek marathon, including the stories they haven't been able to air in the previous marathons?!?!?! SO excited!
That set looks great! I love the idea of having a complete set of a specific Doctor's era all in one box and the artwork looks lovely! Also, do you know when you will be announcing the giveaway winner? :)
Nice review, Alex! I absolutely love the look of the Capaldi collection! I really love the collection’s attention to detail, especially the extra with Capaldi’s first appearance in Doctor Who! I would buy it, but I already own series 8-10. Still, I loved your review on it!
That was an amazing review of the Blu Ray Set, Alex. As a casual/intermediate Doctor Who fan from Southern California ( and a HUGE fan of that scary handsome, fashionable Rockstar Genius ( and Silver Fox ) from Space.... I always wanted to say that 😁 ), I HAD to get that for my Birthday last year.....but had to get a new microwave... pudding brain me. Luckily, I purchased it in June '18.... along with a new Blu Ray Player, and I immensely enjoyed it. With all the backlash on Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor and Season 11( I don't know if I should get the Season 11 Blu Ray Set or Resolution ONLY...but that's another story...back to 12...), Peter Capaldi was destined to be the Doctor, and he succeeded. Let it be said....and known, that he will be highly praised and remembered for three years ( 2014-2017 ) for possessing the electrifying power to quicken our pulses, heightened our senses, captivating our emotions and leave us breathless. Whittaker's performance as the Thirteenth Doctor is impressive, but she has some mighty big shoes ( or Boots ) to fill, and that's where Capaldi delivered. Letting 12 go?!? Not on my watch, and thanks to your review, I won't have to; I can always step back to the Gateway to everything 12 documented on his journeys. #12willALWAYSbeTheDoctor....and the rest is Rock and Roll..... I mean history. Thanks 😉!
That's a really beautiful thing, some particularly nice artwork, better than a lot of what the main S8-10 boxsets had, I found the S9 box art very underwhelming. The part 1 and part 2 releases for s9 were a lot nicer both of them than the full set. They really hit the nail on the head with this set, though.
I do like the layout of these coffee table sets. I already have all the new series on Blu-ray. I can't get myself getting these. If you don't have any of the series on Blu-ray yet, this would excellent though. Unless you're a completest lol. I actually bought the complete specials gift set with the 12th doctor screwdriver. So, I don't have to get all the individual releases now.
