Looking forward to Spearhead from Space review. Been waiting for you guys to do it since you started the channel 10 years ago, as it’s my favourite story of all of Doctor Who. 😊

@@happyman050 me too. I’ve also visited Ealing a few times since I found out that’s where they filmed the end sequence where the Autons burst out the shop window and went on a killing spree along the high street.

The action hero companion always has a place, because it avoids the arguments about the Doctor claiming to be peaceful but constantly killing and blowing things up. The new series has only had Captain Jack, but he was never really a full time companion.

At the 7:05 mark it sounds like Matt has been hitting the Robots of Death helium. Better check to make sure Louise Jameson isn't hiding in your cupboard and that there isn't a voc in your bedroom.

Oh bloody hell. Matt's reaction to the next episode matched my own perfectly... Oh well. Not like I have to watch it. I just get to watch you guys take a massive dump all over it. And then we'll be moving onto one of my favourite episodes of not just Classic Who, but Doctor Who as a whole. "SHOES!"

With all the talk about something getting in, I’m almost surprised RTD didn’t make it so sutekh entered here, now that would be a retcon 😂. I personally have a soft spot for this story despite its faults, not as good as Sontaran Experiment IMO but still great. Hartnell is my favourite classic doctor and Ian is my favourite classic companion, so a great TARDIS team and two episodes getting to explore that is brilliant, although wonder how a tiny bit of damage can cause so much chaos considering 10 is smashing the console with a hammer every week. (Correction for the last episode, jimmy vee had five 5” figures, the one not mentioned was the child Slitheen from the sja line. Brought to you by the guy who rewatches sja more than doctor who 👍)

It surreal to think while the 1st Doctor, Barbara, Ian and Susan are trying to escape the birth of the universe. Some distance away, the 5th Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa are trying to do the exact same thing during the events of Castrovalva.

Probably a story I consider very very underrated and not remembered by many fans. I don’t think much to the story but the speech with the doctor about the sun is good. But I put Edge of Destruction is one of the most obscure stories in the show, along with Power of Kroll, The smugglers, The Massacre, Delta and The Bannermen etc

A brilliant review as always from you two, next time is going to be brilliant and hilarious to watch, Also just goes to show little billy remembers about it as a good man goes to war was the mid series finale for series 6 haha, Also matts reaction was priceless. Can't wait for your spearhead from space review afterwards though as i watched it for the first time this year and loved it 😊.

i don’t know why people are running with Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw playing Sea Devils, that’s not been stated anywhere, they’re probably just playing UNIT people

It’s weird though, because they’ve only announced they’re playing new characters, but not said their names or even alluded to who they might be. They’ve announced Colin McFarlane and specified he’s playing General Pierce, but not said the character names of the two biggest stars? If they were apart of UNIT you’d think they would’ve said by now, consider the entire rest of the cast are government official characters, it wouldn’t be much of a spoiler to say they’re playing an Lieutenant or something.

Someone has apparently posted a photo at location filming of them posing with Tovey and he’s looking very human (and in very casual clothes) COULD be before he’s in costume and make-up but actually he could just be playing a member of the public who gets wrapped up in events.

There was a casting call for a prosthetics double matching exactly Gugu's height and ethnicity which is where that has come from but I didn't take that as confirmation, it was just a theory based on the fact that it appears Gugu's character will be in prosthetics at some point in the series.

It is hard not to believe that the Math Smith story "Amy's Choice" was not inspired by this story. The Tardis has no power, the Crew are dealing with mixed emotions with each other (especially Rory) as well as the story taking place on the Tardis.

I liked this story but wish they’d continued with the ‘something’s got into the ship’ storyline! Felt a bit like Midnight, it would have been really creepy

Not sure where your source for Disney being happy with Who is. Ive got a friend who works for the mouse and he says the limited information he is isn’t good. On top of that, theres a strong rumour floating around today that finally Gatwa has been sacked. Inappropriate behaviour on set and with fans by all accounts. Hes also already been replaced by someone called Tyler. Not sure of the surname but the chap discussing this mentioned other shows this Tyler has been in and he sounds much more suitable than whatever it was we got this last season.

Yea disappointed with doctor who . Feel only thing might save it if Steven Moffat might save it.Just have to say edge of destruction was a tv episode quickly created because the last episode was cancelled so it’s incredible anything makes sense.
