WAIT A MINUTE! martha says at the beginning of the episode "Think of what the Face of Boe said" Jack should have been like thats what they called me in school lol,
This scene has the most awesome score (backing music) ever, it adds to tension and its just so awesome, you can tell he's seeing all his past regenerations flashing by
I do love the little double take the Master does when he glances back to laugh at Chantho, and then does it again when he realises she is actually armed
This thing always puzzled me when I first side you figure the Doctor Who is the last of his people for so long would be happy and in rejoice knowing there’s another time without them however he looks more horrified which doesn’t come in to light until the end of time
Yeah he totally does, but he doesn't bring it up 'cause he wants to hear what the Face of Boe said (I do believe they end up telling him at some point). Notice how, when he admits that he was named the Face of Boe later on, he does it without any provocation or reason. He's clearly hinting it to them both, especially based on his tone of voice when he says goodbye after mentioning it.
@frostek Derek Jacobi was a really good Master, but I reckon John Simm conveys it better. John Simm, David Tennant, and Harry Lloyd are my top three doctor who actors.
Beautiful setup with the Face of Boe way earlier in the season, and connecting his message with the Master's human name. Spotless, brilliant. My mouth was hanging open from the moment I saw the watch to the end of the episode.
