I really enjoyed Jodie as the Thirteenth Doctor. She brought a quality to the character that was so wonderfully alien, so relatable... well, to me, anyway. I'm glad she had the opportunity to inhabit the role.

I want Jodie to return. I don't care what anyone says, the best part about the 13th Doctor's era (sans the SFX which were,,, holy hell) was Jodie herself. She has so much potential that was not tapped into, that wild, sister like mentality with a layer of curiosity, interaction, and bondage with the people around her, along with some incredible last minute invention skills. She needs time in the spotlight again. And not just Big Finish, I mean a welcomed on screen return. It's Doctor Who, canon is a joke and there are ways to make her come back. I really want it.

I agree! I liked Jodie, I wish we could've seen some ¨Timelord victorious¨ thingys with her, she relied too much on her mates while the other Doctors didn't. Some solo stories would do her well, I remember watching the beggining of 12x7 (¨Can you hear me¨) and being really excited about Jodie finally getting a solo story, just for her to instantly get her friends.

The reason I loved Jodie's preformance is that 13 looked at the universe with a new kind of childish joy and enthusiam (something that has in fact been kinda quoted by Colin Baker on earlier conventions) and it was just a nice fresh change from all the more depressive Doctors that came before her.

Not really as it was almost cancelled because of how bad her run was if it wasn’t for Russell T Davies stepping in the show would’ve been cancelled she was so unpopular that she was completely ignored in almost all the other media platforms such as comics and games even in her own story’s they had to make another doctor be the main character in it. Her stuff didn’t sell and BBC knows that. I don’t blame Whittaker as she did her best with what she was given I blame the writer because the the only good character from her run was Graham O'Brien as he had all the good lines the doctor would usually have. But the viewer ship rate for her run was super bad and you can’t deny a fact. You may have loved her but most people didn’t

I did not. I could only sit through the 13th's first episode, but couldn't finish the 2nd episode. The agenda-driven writing felt too obvious. Russell T. Davies had inserted his own philosophies into his 3-season run but it never took president over what we, "anti-sjw weirdos" AKA fans, consider good writing. Nuance and subtlety is important. Otherwise, it just feels like propaganda.

The internet still has valid opinions about thing. While these actresses, and actors seem likeable, and sometimes their characters almost had enough depth to verge on becoming likeable, the seasons suffered some lack luster writing, and thats just the fact of the matter. The show suffered from uninspired writing, and obvious agendas. While I dont hate these seasons myself I do feel like the creation of the pre Hartnell doctors is unforgivable.

@@inspector2363 Actually, the fans didn't have a problem because 1) it wasn't the Doc, so less scandalous, and - more importantly - 2) it hadn't become trendy yet to s**t on everything with women in it. As for Jodie, this interview is proof she's charming and eccentric in her own personality, let alone her take on the doctor. No, most people - who aren't trolls - agree that the problem was Chibnall (a man!!!!). After all, Jodie never said a word or made a move that wasn't written for her by Chibnall. But his writing is limp, uncompelling, and failed to incorporate the Doc's past. And he really is the man to blame, because just about every script during his run has his name on it. No other showrunner micromanaged the show like he did. And yet the OP and you are here complaining about Jodie. The way you deliberately misplace the blame is blatant.
