After divorce and a rough couple years, my boys and I are getting a small home of our very own to live in. While in Utah (for the birth of a grandson), I made it a priority, to buy a picture of Christ (to be the very first picture up on our wall), as a way to dedicate our home to Jesus. Thanks again for an awesome lesson.

I love your comment about journey's, I'm all for taking scenic detours. I am never lost, just on a scenic detour :). A comment Sis Eubank made at BYU Women's Conference about the 'light is always green' has stayed with me, we just need to be moving forward. If God wants us to go in another direction, He will let us know unequivocally, that is when the light is Yellow or Red.

This may sound funny but I was praying and asking God about something, and the answer was your body knows what to do, I realized that my body and my intuition did know what to do and I just needed a to be reminded to trust that.

Thank you so much for all your lessons. This one especially touched me right now, as there are a lot of choices and transitions I need to make now. It is comforting to be reminded to not be paralyzed by fear, but to move forward. That the Lord wants us to use our agency and act. He will let us know if we need to change course. And He wants us to do things that will make us happy.

Cotton Candy will always remind me of this lesson!I love that! I'm a worrier by nature and a lover of Cotton Candy and now it won't only taste good, but help me worry less! :) You two have been such a help to me this year. I prayed that studying the D&C would help me come to know Christ better because I just didn't get the "D&C Him" when reading it. Your class each week not only helps me get to know HIM better, but every week the two of you say something that answers a question that has been on my mind!! Thank you for being His instrument in my life!

Each of your lessons impacts my soul in the way it needs at the tim & especially this week. I often tend to micro manage my spiritual journey & forget to trust “The Tour Guide” & the Pilot!. I loved this! The lesson structure and openness felt like a seminary class, which was perfect for me. One thing I took away from the lesson is that there is equal opportunity to learn and grow whether we are specifically commanded to do something or we make a decision based on commandments and the Spirit's guidance. If we are learning and growing, we are not being idle, as the Lord warns against in D/C 58:26-28

I love that many times the Lord let's us choose our own way. What a liberating principle! Too often I think we think there is only one way to get where He wants us to go. But He can make all things work together for our good. I'm curious to hear your take on how this principle relates to our walking a strait and narrow path. Do these principles contradict each other or do they go hand in hand?

That's interesting food for thought. I suppose you could look at them as two different metaphors to illustrate principles. But I can also visualize them together...as long as we're staying on His strait and narrow path by obeying the commandments and principles He's given, it doesn't matter if we are walking, bicycling, dancing, etc along the way unless He steps in to guide us otherwise.

The path is the covenants and ordinances. Our other choices, as long as they are aligned with gospel principles and commandments still have us on the path, but no two lives will be lived the same. Our individual path will look different in most respects from every other person, but it is straight and narrow as we make and keep covenants and obey the principles and commandments given by God.

I asked a General Authority the real reason behind the no swimming policy. He said the only reason is because it's just one more way for a the missionaries to unnecessarily get into trouble, so they just knock it out altogether.

Im a Mission nurse....I wish missionaries could swim but not skateboard :), or play basketball in a 2 bedroom apartment, or play volleyball in flip flops....:). I love them all!

I also think about that part where he turns around and sees the destroyer it's kind of like how we can look back on an instance that just happened and we're thinking whoa that was the wrong type of influence that we were under at that moment so let's go forward under a better influence towards a better result next time. Kind of like they needed to see that so that they knew that they were screwing up and our God is the god of second chances so he was kind of giving them that warning hey this is where you were so now move forward with what I need you to do

Interesting thought.. a commandment given 58:2 and 61:39. So these things "weather in life or death". Do you think in the spirit world we will be challenged not to pray or tempted not to obey His Commandments? For some strange reason I thought we were home free once we passed this mortal test. I guess we're not in His presence still, and the work goes on. Will the temptations be as strong there? Your insights? Thx

I liked what you said that angels are writing down your testimony or words to others. I had the thought and you can respond if you have time. As I go throughout my days I am filled with words and lessons and beautiful things I'd like to explain to someone and have them understand and belief. These moments are far better than when later on, i stumble through what I was thinking and stumble badly what i wanted to convey. My questions... are those words and thoughts and testimonies also recorded by the angel about? I often wish they could be recorded and I can press 'play' and those beautiful words are given. Just a thought

The "Don't Miss This Posters" are available from Deseret Book.

The posters are double sided with a word on each side that emphasizes the theme of each week’s lesson. They are printed on good quality paper and come in a sturdy storage box. You do need to purchase your own hanger or stand to display them. The hanger they show here is two strips of wood with magnetic strips fastened to them that fasten to the top and bottom of the poster and have a hanger attached to the top which you can hang on a wall or a stand of your own. You can purchase both of these on line at sites like Amazon, eBay, wayfarer, or in retail stores. The posters sell for $34.99, the magnetic wooden hanger sells for $4.99 and up.

I'm trying to find where it says that in 61 they were fighting? I only see that there was a canoe accident. Is it right that they were fighting first? I don't want to teach to my class if it was just a joke. Can anyone help?

I enjoy learning about the early saints. However, How much can you say "I LOVE" in each section. It's almost, like I really don't believe which ones "you really LOVE". Also, how much you interrupt when when David is speaking. .. I would like to hear him finish what he has to say sometimes. Other than those 2 critiques ....I LOVE the message and all the work and background you put in for each and every lesson. Thank you
