A documentary that focuses on the making of incense sticks from the perspective of the Chinese culture. In a featured interview with Mr Foo Kok Keong, we are at his shop to understand what it takes to be skilled in making Chinese incense sticks. However, in society today, it is known that this is a declining industry and that not many people intend to pick up the tradition of creating handmade incense due to the lack of sustainability and heavy costs. It is also known that there is a lack of successors to pass on the craftmanship to. As such, this documentary is done to spread awareness and preserve this precious cultural tradition as a way to teach and encourage the younger generation the importance of supporting local artisans and preserving traditional crafts where the need for intergenerational knowledge transfer and skills training is important to sustain a tradition that reflects the country's diverse ethnic and religious influences while raising awareness.
