"Remember, you are an actress, and an actress' job is to make THE AUDIENCE feel. It doesn't matter whether you're torn apart inside. If you do not tear the audience apart, you are not playing the part well." Best advice on acting ever. Modern Hollywood and over half the people in it today who call themselves actors/actresses need to relearn this. Lon was absolutely brilliant, a great actor and a wonderful human being. He needs more honors and to be more well-known today.
Do Americans easily understand the British accents? It's very hard to me to understand Brits! I wish they'd just hire Americans to narrate American documentaries. No offense meant, they're lovely people with a cool sense of humor but I'm flustered by so many Brits hired lately by USA TV cos I can't understand their accents! The CC is very frustrating here because the images go past so fast. I have to keep pausing and rewinding so this is a very tedious watch for me. I don't understand why Americans keep doing this. I'd have moved to England if I wanted to listen to this kind of English speech pattern. I can't understand it, so I didn't. If I were in England, I bet I wouldn't hear Americans narrating stuff there.
