Have this on my board acting as my 70's rock "on" pedal. Great for AC/DC, ZZ Top, Slash & Heavy Rock tones. The "Low/High" knobs add some extra versatility the Rat doesn't have. It also responds to the guitar's volume knob and pick attack well. Glad to see it's getting more (deserved) attention.
I remember this was released a long time ago and it didn’t seem to make much of an impact. Not sure why, every demo sounds great. It’s seems like it just has a really natural 80’s Rock Amp Tone with tons of cut. Bet it’d be great for Guns n Roses, Extreme and earlier Ozzy stuff. I think I’m gonna have to get a used one.
@@2und2sind4 couldn’t agree more. The design harks back to the one on some early 80’s DOD Flangers that I have. It’s not a great look, gives very low-tech budget vibes.
It is both low tech and budget. Had one for years, but then again I never judge a pedal on graphics. It's good, but I prefer the Boneshaker and Looking Glass from that series. @@odgeUK
"New pedal"? I see you're in your new studio...and the date you posted this video.....but the Gunslinger isn't anywhere near a "new pedal"......but it does sound good!
Nasty pedal (gd nasty!) mate had the grey DoD OD in the 80s...that was a great pedal. Im thinking l might ask Murray or Ben if they wind any Alnico 3 buckers... Bring on the FuZZ!
I bought this pedal a few years ago when Harman was blowing out inventory as fast as possible before they sold the company. I got my Gunslinger for $39. It is good for what it is, kind of a one trick pony though.
Hey Brett! What do you think is the best amp in a pedal to put directly into PA that remains all amp dynamics? Ir x? Lion? Please suggest. Urgently needed to rock.
You're likely to be disappointed by every option since nothing out there satisfies that requirement as you're seemingly expecting. You should be realistic about your expectations, but the ToneX is pretty decent for a pedal. It handles pedalboards like a champ, no pun intended.
