I really thought the zl1le would have started loosing ground at higher speed with all that insane aero! Props to the chevy team. Honestly the zl1 is one of the most underated car's out there . -coming from a hellcat owner
The zl1 is rated right cause it looses to its competitors. The older 8sp zl1 use to loose to chargers badly. This is a race vs a 4door sedan and the sedan is keeping up
Outstanding competition! I'm a Chevrolet guy so I was biased. But that was one for the history books! This kind of stuff didn't exist from 1975 until about 2004 when engine technology started to change constantly.
Hey bro you always bring the best content. This is one of the best races especially the 2nd round. They were neck and neck and I was going for the zl1 too. I know people like the hellcat but you have to respect the zl1 and the power that it puts down. I would like to see them go from a dig next time.
This is about how it was for me racing a ZL1 up to about 150 with my tuned hellcat. I started slowly pulling away at around 125 and by 150 the zl1's front tire was at my rear tire. Don't know his mods but it was the closest race I've had on the highway. Amazing how evenly matched these cars are. In the end you pick your favorite style because they all cost the same lol.
Yea was epic. One thing we know for sure is the zl1 will heat soak faster though, as you can tell by last run. But thats know for the lt4 with its smaller blower.
Nah, ZL1-1LE easily is the best looking and performing modern muscle car to have existed period. The ZL1 is the definition of the word badass. Looks like an angry Devil that's about to eat you alive. The latest Chargers literally look like a straight copy of the 2016-2018 camaro SS front end, but with less sharp angles...
I think that if the camaro was the 10 speed auto and was the normal zl1, it would have been alot closer. That wing on the back creates too much drag in straight lines. Great runs you guys
True, if that were to have been a regular ZL1, with the 10 speed... Holly crap that race would've definitely have been different. Still amazing runs with that ZL1 though!
For sure, best runs so far🔥🔥 I actually have a GoPro question too. I just got the Max today. Fooling around with it, I noticed the seam in the video when rotating all the way around. Do you just face yours straight to the side and just cut before the seam or what? Or can you fix it in the editing, because yours never has it?
Alright Chuck... Its tough and I'm still limited lol.. as of now I would say so far based on what I've been in.... modified corvettes z06s (c6 and c7) have been the most exciting cars for me to be in. As for most pleasurable platforms... i would say the Porsche 911s the BMWs... m2/m3/m4/m5 and m340i ( doesn't matter stock or modded)

Sick races..... ZL1 has nice top end was expecting that cat to start inching away because of all that extra aero on the 1LE. The widebody on the cat dont help neither lol. Regalar ZL1 6 speed might have edged it out. A10 mighta got walked by the cat on higher speeds IMO.
@@bman1668 Is it really that bad from a roll? I know the auto would win, but it could be surprising with a good driver. From a dig it won’t be close. I know that.
@@Z28Gaming yes auto makes very big difference in performance in ZL1 1LE trim or any ZL1 . By the way 1LE is slower due to high wing and spliter/ drag . Regular ZL1 with 10 speed are as fast as zo6 with 8 speed .
You can't shift as fast as the A10, period. Had that been the other trans it would've done even better (same w/o the 1LE aero), but epic shifting regardless!
Not sure if the owner of the HC is in here, but deleting the cats without changing the tune will cost him 50whp or more...checkout Satera Tuning for before and after dyno’s showing the loss. Miss old school channels like this where they just jump right into racing. Instead it’s 20mins of what I had for lunch and maybe 5 secs of racing lol, sub’d!
Very close runs, The ZL1 would of gotten the Hellcat on all three runs if it wasn't for the spoiler. The spoiler is great for track runs and downforce around corners, not great for the drag strip or straight line speed. Great vid though and hell of runs.
