Dodge has treated it's loyal customers like crap and the pure greed was off the charts. The chickens have indeed come home to roost! Dodge has burnt bridges and lost customers they will never get back.
I got an oil change done on my Scat Pack at the Dodge dealership just recently near me in TN. While I was waiting, I went out to the lot and looked at some vehicles. They had damn near base model RAM trucks, 5.7L, cloth seats, fold down arm rests. Basically no frills....$60K. 😂 These dealerships are straight 🤡's
Let that be a lesson to all of us when celebrities jump out of their stupid super cars and start putting dodges in their music videos and lyrics. They’re part of the reason why these became the “hood” car . 😡
It ain’t just pricing . Dodge hasn’t updated the design, nor update security measures. Dodge used to be a blue collar dealership, but they’ve gotten to big for they’re britches now 😂
If they were selling them at MSRP they would sell like hot cakes, but the dealer's are robbing people blind and a lot of people are getting tired of the same old look from 15 years ago...
If you are going to spend $67,000 on a vehicle it needs to be used for a business that you can write off on your taxes, like a Sprinter Van or some sort of work truck where you work with your hands. $67,000 or more just for horsepower alone isn't a smart buy.
Still a lot of stealerships in south florida with fictitious markups and their lots are full😮saw last call vehicles on their lots with 20k markups and down the road with no markups and still not selling....let them suffer for their actions ripping people off😮
Seems like now my 2019 T/A 392 in B5 Blue was a bargain at $48K...took my Ram in for some light work at a local Dodge dealership the other day, so walked around to kill some time...lots of Challengers/Chargers/Jeeps/Durangos sitting around...hardly anybody looking and this was on a sunny Friday...they had a nice purple 2023 Charger R/T Scat Pack WB listed for $65K...taxes not included...thanks for sharing bro'.
Man I’ll never forget a few months ago I saw a used 2020 scatpack on a Kia dealership. My first turn off was the price $67,000 with 30,000 something miles. Then the dealer had the audacity to say if I wanted to test drive, they had to run my credit report. I was like “if you don’t get the FOH with that shit”
You can buy 2 Toyota Corolla Hybrids for the price of 1 Hell Cat and still have another 20K in the bank. Plus use your 2nd car as a Uber or DoorDash as a revenue generator. Think about that. Not to mention the Toyota’s will out live the Dodge by far.
They need to go back to 2012 prices. A 392 would be around 45k. When the Hellcat came out it settled at around 55k for base Hellcat. All the big three are doing it. I don't want a big screen TV in my cars dash if that is what's driving them prices up. Less chips(excuse they gave) cars should be cheaper:). Whoever can buy now better hope the inflation doesn't go down far or they will lose or be upside down.
A hemi is a mistake,a 1000.00 to change plugs ,80.00 to change oil. .the prices of new,is out. of my budget. 800 to 1000 a month for 5 to 7 yrs .that's scary, you don't know what can happen.
When everyone on the block has one they loose their luster. I dont get excited seeing any of these cars anymore they might as well be a civic or corolla.
As a former Dodge owner many years ago they’ve always had great LOOKING sports cars but their quality has always been VERY POOR. Not built to last at all so raising the prices over time is just laughable. Automobiles from the East; Japan, S.Korea etc are the best way to go for truly getting your moneys worth👍👍👍
It’s not just the Dodge dealers. It’s all dealerships. They want to play games with addendum and doubling their dealer fees! Screw them, they can keep their cars.
Facts bro! They are just not worth what there selling for knowing just 2 years ago you could get. 392 for around 42 or 48K out the door now that’s R/T prices wow absolutely ridiculous 💪🏾💯
2016 got a scat challenger for 38 2018 got a hcwb challenger 71 2019 got a red-eye wb challenger 78 2020 got a ta challenger for 42 2021 got a scat charger for 45
I was so into getting a Scat last year then I saw the price. Then I was shopping used and those prices were way too high also. A friend at work got a brand new loaded Scat Charger out the door for $35,000 just before Covid. I’ve got a 2012 Charger RT loaded and paid for so I built a my own Scat. Cammed, headers, exhaust etc & got 444hp to the wheels. Just need Hellcat wheels and tires and I’m done. I still check prices every week but the greedy dealers can watch those cars rot and remember their greed.
AWESOME video and you're totally right. After a LOYAL dodge customer for 45 years I went to buy a Challenger and almost GOUGED with huge markup. I walked away and vowed not to EVER NEVER buy a Dodge vehicle again.Goodbye and you lost a customer for life as well
Very good point, about the value of ones people already own..because new ones aren't even selling. As far as the prices of new ones, it is understood why..the nature of what these cars are made for an how used ones are treated makes it risky to buy used
Dodge did it to themselves. they still using the same platforms on the Charger, Challenger, and Chrysler 300. There has really been no exterior or interior change and if you say it has, you're just bias... Furthermore, these markups have been ridiculous pricey. Like, house buying pricey.
Wonder how much this has to do with the charger and challenger being for sale for so many years now, those who wanted one have one or had one and sold it. I got a good deal on my new 2023 SXT last month.
They are played out, It's basically been the same look for the last 15 years!! And they want 70K with tax for a scat pack, smfh.. They aint all that.. 70K will get you a C-8 Vett these days..
Those markups are pretty much what the dealership owes the bank. Longer they keep it in their possession the more they owe the banks. Once you buy it it depreciates below the msrp cause the markup isn’t true value. People are going purchase them based off of desired value not true value.
The two dealers I deal with one has 39 chargers and 30 challengers the other one has 70 chargers and 30 challengers and 59 rams on deck.. Everyone of those cars sits around $50,000 in price.
You are a fool, the economy is doing great, inflation is down to 3.1%, lowest in the world. Unemployment is under 4% for the 3rd straight year, Jobs are up 200k or more a month. the stock market is setting record highs, gas is around $3.30 a gallon, and the GDP was 3.2%. It is all great news, and the only people who deny it are MAGA Trump supporters who have been fed lies about the economy from Fox Fake News.
Some of the dealers brought it upon themselves with the ridiculous add ons, but the good dealers are at the mercy of Stelantis with their crazy pricing.
How do I find a random video that visits a Dodge Dealership in my hometown 😂😂. Imo smaller towns tend to have these cars at higher prices Larger cities like Dallas, there’s more competition so the prices are a little lower
They refused to negotiate a reasonable price after realizing they priced MSRP too high and made the dealers pay too much for the Stellantis products. No way a Grand Cherokee should be priced like a Q8 or Range Rover Sport.
This my favorite car video so far this year ,dropping jewls ,key words, the stigma that comes with these cars ,white man trying to rip us off 😂,like Jordan snickers 🤦🏽♂️
@@ethompson7271 - but they are mostly responsible for this bad economy, fuel costs, interest rates, etc. And you can thank CARB and Bidens EPA for ending the Hemi's.
Im in pa ,with this economy who is buying these 75,000 cars and trucks its not just dodge buy 80,000 for a f150 its crazy,50,000 for that dode hornet lol omfg
leave these car dealerships alone lol only reason why Im paying 60k for a car is because the scatpack I got is a stick shift and crackheads keep blowin my phone
Challengers R/T and Chargers R/T have have a V8 mostly a 5.7 Hemi you will see R/T on the front of the Challengers that have a 6.4 Hemi V8 the Hornets on the other hand R/T have a 4 cylinder turbo. Hope that answers your question
To be honest, the cars are junk. I've had one. Im speaking from experience. I've owned 3 dodge vehicles. One was a 2014 charger that i got when it was brand new. And every single one gave me an issue.
And everybody wonders why and Dodge why nobody’s buying these beautiful cars someone like me, and other people that truly love those cars and want those cars the Dodge people make it impossible with prices and everything else so you know what maybe Dodge should make it more affordable and reasonable for other people specially nowadays so that they can sell these cars and people can be happy and everybody’s happy the shit with the electric is a joke never get rid of V-8 that’s original muscle
I have not watched this channel before, so wanted to check out the clickbait title. First, there are no mass closings of Dodge dealers. Second, this was filmed in February, the slowest month for sales. Third, everybody and his brother is making "Dodge going out of business / can't sell muscle cars" videos. Lots of wind noise and no real content here.
