Ohh yah, it eats away the paper material on the synchros. Trans been rebuilt and working on trying to get it back in at this moment. Was almost a walk in the park experience but the getting it back in part sucks. Parked on a hill, all the wheels to my floor jack are flattened, yeah the metal wheels are worn. But it wasn’t rebuilt because of the little gl5 fluid, it was because of snapping the output shaft that goes into the t-case. When I changed the fluid it was burnt badly from adding that little bit of gl5.
This transmission doesn’t have one. But no usually you’ll have to order those separately. Or find a shifter bushing on Amazon for you transmission. It’s like I need that thicker piece that slides on the shifter shaft there like the OEM one. It’s tight except for 5th gear it’s just not right yah know? See me at the end of the video playing with 5th gear all confused
I always loved the short throw shifters. I been running them in all my manual transmissions. I basically can’t have a manual transmission without one.. I added one to an 07 Dakota also.
