Man thank you so much for the video... I've been trying to figure out since I got my Ram if it would hurt anything structurally to cut that metal out of there... Now I know. Thank you. That definitely increases my sub options enclosure options
What is the best tool to cut the metal with? I was thinking about doing this with my 2012 RAM, but run 4 8's facing forward, and the vent on top of the hump in the middle.
I made a box that fits a kicker CompRT 12 without having to remove the package tray.. cut out the carpet, lined the passenger side underseat storage area with sound deadener (home depot flashing seal tape) then put a piece of 3/4 MDF over it, through bolts along the front and cut side pieces to follow the contour of the floor, PL glued the whole thing down.. had to raise the back seat because it sat on the box top, but that worked out cause it now allowed me to fold down the rear seats and mounted the amp on the back wall.. thing hit really hard no issues.. may have been slightly undersized volume wise but filled with poly fill and it shook the truck throughly..
@@stephentringale5865 getting rid of the vibration noises is a monotonous task.. just take car of one thing at a time.. on of my biggest offender was the overhead console. Ended up pulling it down and hot melt gluing all of the peices together. Def takes tome to get them all..
Awesome idea for more airspace. Apparently the only use for the piece that was cut out was to create storage areas under the seat. Now where's my hacksaw?
Are you guys able to do a drop in for two 15 inch subs? I can cut the metal out myself and install myself. Also how much space is left between the top of the box and the seat bottom?
Do you have the dimensions saved that you can email them? Or do you sell more of these boxes already fabricated to fit 2 8in subs? Ill cut my floor out tomorrow, lol
So cool to see this built in only 4 minutes 😂. Looked great quick question what amplifier kits do you guys use? I always see that orange insulation but can't figure out the brand .
How much bc a shop around me ball parked me 5k to 10k to do that to my 2500, that was a ball park for them to cut out, make a box, and the subs and amps for said box.
Love it....cut apart a 32,000 dollar truck for some....Airspace....that's stupid.....I would like to know the appraised value of that truck now....should have bought better subs....that require less air space....and RETAIN the value of the TRUCK...so dumb....newbies
