The Dodgers season literally began with a scandal with Ohtani’s interpreter. They lost their ENTIRE pitching rotation at one point including Glasnow their Ace. They were being clowned on by the Padres and come back to humble them. The NL was an absolute GAUNTLET this year. What an amazing run. The scary part is they’re just getting started
I love the players celebrating with Sho's translator too. One of the reasons this club is so good is that they recognize that every member of the organization from the top down is important.
Just imagine when Dodgers have their regular starting pitcher lineups...Kershaw, Ohtani, Gonsolin, Glasnow, May, Buhler, Yamamoto, Flaherty...Gave me the chillls...
Shohei carried the team all season long and when it seemed like he was running out of gas the rest of the team carried him the rest of the way to the finish line.
Honestly I didn’t have the Dodgers winning it this year with the lack of starting pitching. I especially doubted Buehler. Boy was I wrong! This team has no ego and plays as a team. Well deserved win. Congratulations LA Dodgers!
It's awesome to watch Ohtani celebrating this championship. He brought me and countless other fans back to baseball. He and the dodgers play the game the right way. Congrats to all dodgers fans! Looking forward to Ohtani's Cy Young and MVP 2025 season 😉
Mookie is just a badass TEAMMATE, isn't he? SO positive & encouraging... so when HE needed his teammates, they ALL showed up for him & gave him back all that positive energy & support that he gives everyone else. So yeah, this is one helluva TEAM. I sure do hope they keep/re-sign Teoscar Hernandez going forward. He was so important. I really am amazed at what a truly bad-arsed roster they are to overcome a slew of injuries that would knock even outstanding, title-threatening teams completely out of contention. And yet...
Thank you for letting the audio and the true moment ride out. Beautiful night, tonight. Dodgers Forever 2024 💙🤍🏆 This memory will live forever -Dave Roberts 👏👏👏👏
Shedding tears of joy, just absolutely love this Dodger’s team, never miss a pitch, never quit on the Boys in Blue, bleed blue, Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 World Series Champions, we did it, where ya at haters? LETS GO DODGERS 💙❗️
Makes sense. The Dodgers were yet another rival of the Yankees when they played in New York and had 7 World Series clashes before moving to Los Angeles in 1958. Thanks to a reformatted schedule in 2023, they now face off every season. And that's helped rekindle this rivalry, which will appear more consistently beyond a very occasional World Series matchup. (Since the Dodgers moved to LA, they've met in the World Series 5 times, and with 30 teams now in the league, with perhaps even more to come, even that's a bit more often than what can statistically be expected over the next 67 seasons.)
Roberts had planned the games that the Yankees could have won to be games that they would lose. It must have been hard for Roberts to contain his laughter during the game when he saw New York get carried away after scoring double digits and make lazy plays. He was as cunning as Light Yagami.
If Roberts had tried to go for the sweep in Gm 4, used his good bullpen and lost, he would have messed up their pitching rotation the rest of the way and risk losing the series. The key is to win the WS not sweep.
It was his fault he wasted it by running at a bad angle to first and not knowing how hard mookie hit it what an idiot just run to first as fast as you can !
@@Xenlacasa45I know he was supposed to run to the bag, but what was Rizzo doing on that play? A slow dribbler to first? He should have charged the ball and got the easy force but he just stayed stationary. It was mind blowing!
44:38 That absolutely encapsulates why Dave Roberts has had such great success and to me is probably the best compliment anyone could give him. Well said A-Rod 💯
When they first lost to Padres in the beginning of post season, despite of media doubted and gave Shohei a lot of pressure, he said just win 2 more games consistently. I think it’s really setting a really good tone and mentality to the team. That’s why he is the GOAT🔥🔥🔥
What's remarkable about it is, with 30 teams in the league, the average team will win a World Series title just once every 30 years. So, if the Yankees don't win another title until 2038, they'll still technically be ahead of the average team. And MLB might add a couple more teams between now and then.
The Price paid for Brian Cashman being cheapskate is very much obvious! 😂😂😂 The 700 million the Dodgers paid for Shohei Ohtani is still the greatest steal you can get from baseball excluding Merchandise, Tourism etc. The Dodgers can sell anything from Shohei! 😅😅😅
THE MVP IS TEOSCAR HERNANDEZ!!!! Show HIM the money!!! Glad the team backed up Ohtani after WS game 2 in which he carried the team the whole season and the 1 2 rounds. This will make Ohtani inspire to do more next year instead of being complacent with the ring!
Jeter during this entire segment looks so uncomfortable and he is so ready to go home and cry that his Yankees lost the WS. Looks like he doesn’t even want to talk at all.
Dodgers fans obviously don't like the Giants, but seeing them beat the Yankees in the World series and the hater Jeter and his tears was the icing on the cake!!
I think Jeter is the spotlight of the postgame show throughout the PS, and he's still so nervous and keeps tapping his left hand on the table subconsciously.
@@Sportsfilmappreciator dont worry we will always have room in our hearts for hating on the giants, and good luck getting titles when all of them are ours for the next 9 years with Shotime baby!
Announcer Joe Davis asked everyone in the booth in the bottom of the second. Where did the Dodgers go. Hey Joe I can answer that for you. After the 9th inning the Dodgers went back to LA with the world series trophy.
Hats off to the Yankees, u gave me all the stress i could handle as a Dodger fan. And a HUGE THANK YOU to the Atlanta Braves for being SO INCREDIBLY STUPID & CHEAP to not give Freddie Freakin Freeman that extra 6th yr on the contract even though he wanted to resign and finish his career with the team that drafted him. BWHAAHHAA 😂😂😂 GO DODGER BLUE 💙💙💙
